taking inspiration from animals and hybrids
before learning modelling skills to bring these
ideas from 2-D drawings to 3-D models. After
painting, these creations looked almost real!
Grade 6 explored pattern with a focus on ‘Op
Art’. Students took inspiration from Japanese
artist Yayoi Kusama and enjoyed experiencing
her weird and wacky ways. Grade 6 also created
some pretty realistic “Bite-sized” clay creations!
Grade 8 students explored lino printing with
a focus on mark making. They turned the
art room into a real life art printing studio,
designing, mark making, carving, background

expectations this year- they are most definitely
