Autumn in Utah is the best time of year to visit, and those who attend-
ed the 2016 IALHA National Show got to experience the season firsthand.
The Salt Lake Equestrian Center, where the show was held, is located in
the heart of Salt Lake City, which is surrounded by the gorgeous and col-
orful fall background of the Wasatch Mountains. Many great competitors
turned out for the show, and its western location provided the opportu-
nity for a number of members to attend for the very first time. Gary and
Lisa Camp of Bend, Ore., have volunteered at the show numerous times
in the past. This year’s location allowed them to bring their horses, so
that they could “get a chance to compete with the people who previously
they had only been able to watch,” said Gary. “It was terrific showing
our own horses! All year we had a goal to work toward. Win or lose, we
learned a lot and, most important, we had fun and that's what it should
be about.”
