FOREWORD

Shakespeare said, I believe, “Brevity is the soul of wit” and Neil Gaiman said that short stories are
journeys you can make to the far side of the universe and still be back in time for dinner. In
addition, our students have abided by both these maxims and have produced some of the most
wonderful pieces replete with their own art, their own characters and some of the most wonderful
stories. I would like to congratulate the fantastic Home Room Teachers, on their stellar efforts to
elicit this work from their students; the students, for their perseverance on this task every single
day over many weeks; and to all our parents, who have supported our reading program and the
development of reading skills at home. I do hope you will enjoy this book as much as we have all
enjoyed creating it and this will occupy a proud place on your bookshelf for many years to come
and, God willing, just the first in the many literary successes in the lives of our students.

A TRIP TO RANTHAMBORE

The trip started with an eight-hour drive to
Ranthambore to stay in a hotel called
Anuraga palace we stayed there for three
days and two nights. On the first day, we had
a tour and went to a tiger safari. We saw a lot
of deer, a stag and a tiger. On the second
day, we played and played and then we had
a concert and a magic show. After that, we
did a barbeque. On the third day, we did all the packing to go to Bharatpur. Then, my cousin
dragged us into the room to play and she locked the door. We were not able to open the door.
We stared knocking and calling for help. My mother was just outside the room and she could hear
us. She instructed us to turn the knob to the left side, which could open the door. We came out
and were so relieved. I had a great experience because I met many new people and learned that
I should be more responsible for my Youngers.

MAGIC PENCIL AND THE BALL MONSTER

One day, Jinni, Jim and magic pencil were playing in the front
yard of their house. Just then, Jim saw a ball, lying on the
ground. When he saw the ball, Jim went to take it. Suddenly,
the ball started saying, “hee! Hee! I am the Ball-monster. I am
going to swallow you alive. Both Jinni and Jim were shocked to
hear this. They cried out, “Magic Pencil, this Ball-monster is
going to eat us alive.”

Magic Pencil ran to help when he heard Jinni and Jim shouting.
He told the monster, “Friend, these are my pals. Please do not
eat them.” However, the Ball-monster was wicked and mean. He said to Magic Pencil, “Who are you to
advise me? I will eat them alive.”
The ball-monster started moving towards Jinni. “There is no point
taking to this cruel monster. I should teach him a lesson,” magic
pencil decided. He flew up into the air and sharpened his point.
Suddenly, magic pencil turned into a huge ball and hit the ball-
monster, who was running towards Jinni and Jim. The ball-
monster was thrown away into a field nearby. “Heeo! It is really
dangerous to mess up with Magic Pencil,” the Ball-monster cried
out. He rolled away from there. After this incident, the Ball-
monster did not try to hurt anyone. Jinni and Jim were so happy
that they were free from the clutches of the Ball-monster. They
thanked Magic Pencil for his timely help.

THE LITTLE DETECTIVES

I and four of my friends have a little
group and we call ourselves, The Little
Detectives. The member in our group
are Daksh, Arin, Azile, Arith and I. We
solve mysteries and discuss about
adventures.
One day, my group planned to make a
complex machine. Therefore, we
decided to make a shrinking gun.
When I was playing the gun, I accidentally shrunk my mom. I did not realize this happening and
went down to play with my friends. Later when I came back home I was hungry, so I started looking
for my mom. I could not find her anywhere, so I got some snacks from the pantry.
Later in the evening, I needed help with my tasks and since I could not do anything by myself, I
got frustrated. I needed all of my
friends’ help to solve this mystery of
my missing mom. Our group had an
emergency meeting to solve the
mystery. We looked everywhere in
the apartment campus but she was
not there in the apartment. We also
looked in our homes but she was
not there too.

Suddenly it struck that maybe I shrunk my mom accidentally. Therefore, we decided to make
another gun called expanding gun. I used the expanding gun to make my mom bigger again.
Finally, we solved the mystery about my missing mom and I was happy to see my mom bigger
again.

SONIC AND THE EMERALD QUEEN

Once upon a time, there was a little hedgehog
named Sonic. He was a hero in the world. Sonic is
the fastest hedgehog in the world. He saves the
people who are in trouble. There is one bad person
named as Dr. Eggman and he has another name
called Dr.Robotnik. He always wants Eggman
Emperor. One day a bright storm came and blow
Sonic away and all the chaos emeralds were lost.
Eggman builded his death egg robot to find a chaos
emerald. Sonic has one friend his name as Knuckles.
Sonic said! Where I am then he saw Knuckles with
the master emerald, and he told Knuckles! Then
Knuckles told Sonic! Sonic told Knuckles did u find egg man anywhere. NO! Sonic….Ma ha hahaha…

Sonic and Knuckles were talking each other and suddenly something
shiny came. They saw the Emerald Queen and Sonic told who you are. Then she said! I am the
Emerald Queen. I am the queen of all the chaos emeralds. Then the Emerald Queen saw the
master emerald then Knuckles told that what do u want from the master emerald? I want that
power to give a massive hedgehog, which is fast. Sonic said that I am fast. So! U are the massive
hedgehog. Then the Emerald Queen gave the master emerald power to Sonic and she brought all
the chaos emeralds to Sonic. Then he became super Sonic.

THE SECRET TREASURE

Once upon a time, there lived a group of boys in a village
with a huge wasteland and many thieves. The thieves
kept on stealing the treasures that the village people
found. One day the group of boys were wandering in the
wasteland and they found a treasure. They ran back
home and showed it to their father. He was astonished
and he said, “Well, we will open it” and with that, he
opened it using a blade and they could not believe what
they were seeing, it was filled with gold, pearls, rubies
and many more. That same day they were planning to go
out at night so they hid the treasure in a cupboard and locked it, they took the key and went out
at night. At night the robbers wander around looking for treasure, one of the robbers came into
their house and used a mechanical saw to cut a hole in the locked cupboard and he took the casket
and went off. The following morning they were back and found out, they were robbed. They had
an idea so they went back to the wasteland and got an empty casket and filled it with rocks and
put it in the cupboard and waited for the night with police to catch the robber. They saw a robber
creeping into the house and he saw the cupboard and thought the casket filled with rocks had
gold in it so he said “this is my lucky day they forgot to lock
the cupboard and left a treasure inside” he took the casket
and was about to leave the house when the police caught
him and made him give back the real treasure and arrested
him. The couple lived happily ever after.

LEGEND OF BENDING

In a small village on Tamil Nadu. Four children always play in the
forest. One day they found a haunted house. They went in, the
doors closed, the lights were off, they saw blood liking out now
they were stuck. In addition, suddenly the doors vanished only big
pipes with ants and high windows left. They split out into groups
and were finding a way out. However, none was there, only blood
Pipes and window. They gathered up and saw the secret library.
They found the history book and found the way out. They made a
complex machine and jumped out of the window. When they grew
up, they made an organization to help children understand that
there are no ghosts.

THE LAKE MYSTERY

One day, during summer, I was sitting in my house,
talking to my mother and father, and planning for
summer vacations. That day was 1st of June and we
were planning to start our vacation on 15th June.
Days passed as we kept preparing and packing our
stuff for the holiday.
Then suddenly on 10th June, there was some news
in the newspaper about the place we were planning
to go to and the lake there which I wanted to see.

There was a strange new creature, which had been
living in the lake for the past one week!
As we really wanted to see that strange huge
monster, we planned to go there on 16th June. On
16th June, we woke up, got ready and went for our
breakfast. After breakfast, we went to the lake to
look at the lake monster.
The monster only showed its back and not its face but
still somehow, we managed to take a picture of its
back.
We went to the lake again the next day. When we reached there, we saw someone else there
taking a picture. He was trying to take a picture of the monster, and how it looked underwater.
After we saw the pictures he had taken, we could clearly tell what the resort had done.

The monster was FAKE! The resort had made this fraud to get more tourists to the resort and
make quick and more money!

THE MAGIC COOKBOOK

One day, it was Halloween. Anurag was going to ‘trick or
treat’ with Anuragini. The used to live in an urban place.
Once they went to derbies’ house. They went into their
house then Anurag found a magic cookbook. They stole
the book and used it to make a spell. They spelt
themselves and were not able to talk. Therefore, they
went back and looked in to the cookbook. They made
spell to make they talk again. They were finally able to
talk again.

THE CROWS AND THE OWLS

The crows lived in a huge tree, which was one hundred years
old. Many crows lived there who had great grandfathers also
living there. Their king was Crowley. He is smart and brave.
He commands a huge army of crows. Their enemy is the owl
kingdom.

The owls lived in the caves next to the crow’s tree. The owls
are less than the crows but stronger. Their king is Owly, who
is fast and strong. His enemy is the crow kingdom. Owly calls
them enemy no.1.

At the crow kingdom, his fellow crows were always scared
of their enemy owls even though their king is smart and
brave. Because there was a crow who was telling them, how
mighty the owl kingdom is and was scaring them. He was the ally of owls and was getting food in
return from the owls for scaring his own army.

The crows did not know about the
intention of the crow who was scaring
them. Sometime later, the owls
launched their attack. The crows
scout soldiers alerted Crowley to
send his army to fight the owls. The
crows were scared. However, one
brave crow soldier came out and told
that lets do not give up and fight this
time. Therefore, the crows went to
fight.
The owls first charged, knocked the crow out of the air.

The crows rapidly pecked the owls. One of the soldiers told to light
sticks on fire to scare the owls. Their fellow crows launched many sticks
of fire on the Owls cave. The Owls got scared. Owly told “My army,
retreat!”
The crow kingdom has to know about the enemy
ally crow. The king Crowley ousted the enemy ally.
The Crow kingdom has to know that the owls are
weak. They realized they were only to listening to
the enemy ally crow which made them scared.
MORAL: Do not give up. Recognize your enemy
and do not allow them to fool you.

HOW A MAN SAVED THE JUNGLE

Once upon a time, there was a man who cared
a lot for the animals. His house was close to the
jungle so he fed the animals every single day.
He would go to the jungle, feed the animals
and play with them. The animals liked him a lot
because he took care of them. The animals in
the jungle were scared of the cruel hunters.
They had killed so many of their innocent
animal friends before this kind man came to
the forest. Even the hunters were scared to go
to that jungle because of him.
One day his friend told him that a group of
hunters was going to that jungle. When the kind man heard this news, he was worried about his
animal friends. He also wanted to teach a lesson to the cruel hunters. The kind man was up all
night thinking of ideas to save his friends; finally, he came up with a plan. He visited the jungle and
explained his plan to his friends. All the animals, except the lion, left the jungle.
The next day when the hunters came to the jungle, the man and the lion executed the plan. They
waited for some time and then fought fearlessly. It was a long battle but in the end, the kind man
and the lion won. The hunters realized their mistake and asked for forgiveness. They promised
never to trouble the animals ever again. The next day the animals came back to the jungle and
lived happily.
The end
Moral- If you are brave and fearless then you will always achieve your goal.

THE TWO BEST FAMILY GETS INTO A FIGHT

Once upon a time, two families lived in the same
apartment, which were Tina’s family and Aurora’s
family, and their friends who are Ace, Andriy and
Chiru.
One day Tina, Aurora and their friends were playing
knock knock and Aurora pushed Tina by purpose but
Tina ran and said Aurora pushed me, Aurora started
teasing Tina, and their parents started arguing. Then
Tina’s father Andy said let us say sorry altogether and
the lived happily ever after.

THE ADVENTURE

One day 4 people Chino, Mini, Sony, and Pony all
brothers. Choni was their cousin so he came there for
some time and he was living in their house. Choni and
Mony were doctors and police officers and Sony pony
were scientists. They did not have money and one day
Pony and Sony were planting trees for their experiment.
When Sony was digging, he found a map it was a treasure
map. They both told their mom and dad and to Choni and
Moni that they got permission to go and they packed
their items and left the treasure on an island so they had
money to get a rented boat. They went on the boat, and
on the way to the island, they found a shark. Sony and pony were distracted and Moni and Choni
shooed the shark and on the way, they found some fish and they fried those fish and ate them.
They went on and fought a dragon after that they found the treasure and went back to their home.
Now they have lots of money with them and can live happily ever after.

THE FRIENDS WHO GOT LOST

Once upon a time, there lived two best friends
named Sam and Joe. They lived in a small town
away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They
always played on the streets and lanes without any
fear. They knew the alleys of their town very well
and ensured they get home before it was dark.
Once Joe saw a movie about big cities, and he was
fascinated. He told Sam “let's go to the nearby city
and have a day outing”; Sam readily agreed. The
next day they both went to the city and roamed its
wide busy streets. It was getting dark and suddenly
Joe said, “Sam, do you know where exactly we are
and how to get back home? “I don't know, I thought
you knew,” said a shocked Sam. Instantly they both knew that they were lost and did not know how to
reach back home.
They started crying on the side of the highway, and unexpectedly someone pulled their hands and pushed
them into a big red car. “Quiet! You both!” he said. However, surprisingly the man brought both Sam and
Joe back to their homes safely. They could not even see who he was as it was very dark. They decided not
to talk about this bad day to anyone but wondered who that man was and how he knew their houses.
Next Sunday, Uncle Jack gave them a visit. While he was leaving, he said with a smile “Boys! Be very careful
and do not go out at unknown places late in the night. You may not be lucky always”. They were surprised
on how he knew about their city adventure. Then, they noticed his car and understood at once that it was
Uncle Jack who pulled them into his car, and brought them home safely. Sam and Joe were very happy and
felt relieved. They thanked Uncle Jack and promised to be safe always.

THE YOUNG JOCKEYS VACATION

CHAPTER 1- Napoleon
My family and I just stepped out of the
house and into the car.
We talked and talked and talked until we
finally reached Embassy International
Riding School.
I went, got my helmet and I was riding a
pony called Napoleon so I went to the
stable and got him. I was so scared but I
had to face my fear for my first ever
horse/ pony riding class.
I mounted Napoleon and my coach led me
to my class.

I learned so much, had lots of fun and at
the end of my class I realized that I did not
have to be scared.
Later at the cafe, called Café E Cavalli I ate
and made a friend named Ishta and met
my HRB A.K.A horse-riding friend.
In addition, we played on the trampoline
then all of us went home but I came here
to my farmhouse and met my
grandparents.

CHAPTER 2 - Plan
The next day I went to the embassy
again with my grandparents.
After class, my friends and I played but
when we went to the trampoline there
was a frog we were scared. Therefore,
we got a solution. We called a house
cleaner and asked her to sweep the frog
away and not hurt it so she did and we
thanked her. After playing, we ate and
played again. Later we all went home.
At the farm, my dad made a sudden

plan that we are leaving to Udupi and
Chikmagalur. Therefore, we packed
and left on Tuesday. I also had skipped
school and left my pet fish with the

farm's caretaker.

CHAPTER 3 - Holiday
In Chikmagalur we stayed in a resort
called The Serai and OMG the nature
there was awesome plus they had an eco-friendly bonus that was no plastic Bisleri bottles instead
they gave glass jugs filled with mountain water. The next day we had the best breakfast ever since
There was multi cuisine and I got to know that Chikmagalur was known as the Land of Coffee. We
were all sad that we only stayed there for
1 day but we had to so we said goodbye to
the beautiful nature and left for Udupi.

CHAPTER 4 - Temple Town
We visited many temples in and on the
way to Udupi the Temple Town.
I noticed that all the temples were built on
mountains on top of rivers and my dad
said that temples are built only where
there was fresh air and good spirit. After
visiting temples, we went to the beach
and saw people Camel and horse riding,
kite flying, playing beach and normal
games, stalls, people parasailing, boating
and swimming. We just wet our legs and
sat seeing the synthase / sunset on the beach.

CHAPTER 5 - Kanakana Kindi

When we left Udupi, we visited a last temple called Sri Krishna Temple and my dad told me about
it. He said that there was a poet named Kanaka Das, and he came to visit this temple but he was
poor and only rich people could visit the temple, so the priest said he can't enter and Kanaka Das
went to the back of the temple where there was a small window for the poor to see through but
the idle faced the other side so they could only see the back of lord Krishna. Everyday, Kanakadasa
would come and sit at the back window and sing his poems and one day the Krishna idle turned
around to him and his back on the other side so from that day all the poor and rich could see the
idle from the same window and the idle never turned back so that gave the place where the idle
was kept the name KanaKana Kindi. This is my magic. Before doing the darshan I was very hungry
and I could not control any longer but after praying I was full and we could continue the trip and
I felt that was a gift god gave to me.

THE MAGICAL DRIFT WOOD

Chapter 1: Here they come, the curious kids.

Beyond the tall peaks of Les Alps, a curious girl named Mary Mon wants to know everything.
Mary’s neighbor Coz Cough was a curious boy too.

Days passed and Mary and Coz became close friends.

One morning while cleaning some junk, “Let’s explore my attic”, said Mary with excitement. Coz
nodded, “Ready to go”.

Chapter 2: The Exploration

Mary ad Coz reached the attic door, but the door was too large to push. They both pushed with
all their might and finally “Its open”, they both cheered in unison.

They both were startled at the beauty of a statue. Mary
tiptoed closer.

Just then, “Wait…” blurted Coz.

Chapter 3: The Blast

Mary would not listen. She just said “What a wonderful
Jewel, I want it”.

Mary then brushed through the diamond necklace.

‘Boom!’ a blast of black smoke covered Mary. As the smoke
faded away, Coz sensed something was wrong.

“Mary, I told you not to touch it”, mentioned Coz. There was not any response for the next few
silent moments.

Chapter 4: The Panic

“Mary, Mary, Are you here?” cried Coz as he found no one in the room.
“Strange”, said Coz as he attempted to brush the necklace himself.
After many attempts, he had to give up.
He immediately hurried to Mary’s living room where the parents were having a chat. “Mom, Dad,
Mrs. Mon, Mr.Mon, Mary vanished” he shouted panting.

Chapter 5: Doubts
“What?” questioned Mrs.Mon and Mrs.Cough. Coz explained the whole story in a subtle voice.
“We can find her. Can’t we?” asked Coz in dimly. “We can”, assured the parents.

Chapter 6: Is there a solution?
As days passed, Coz found a book that tells about Myths.
One night, “Losing someone means losing hope. To find
the person, go to La Paz in Mexico” read out Coz.
“That’s it, I am going there at the earliest”, exclaimed Coz.
The Next day Coz reached La Paz, but he landed in a
desert. He read the line from the book again. It was
mentioned ‘La Paz’, the place he has reached now. Before
stuffing the book back in his backpack, he spotted a note
that says, “Few may be alive”. “Ugh”, he groaned.

Chapter 7: Yippee!

Many months passed, Mary was not traceable. The
Coughs’ were on a vacation while the Mon’s were at sorrow for losing their only child Mary. Coz
was at sorrow too but he could not do anything. Soon his memory about Mary faded away.
During their vacation, Coz spotted something familiar. It was one of Mary’s stuffed toys. Coz ran
towards the stall that had the toy. It had the name of Miss Mon’s Toys. “Mary, Mary” called out
Coz. “Come out”. Mary came out. “Coz, you found me”, she explained happily. “Now let’s head
back home,” said Coz.
“You See”, explain Mary. “After the black smoke, I almost forgot everything. However, I was strong
enough to remember my past. I was then immediately transported to here in Madrid”, she
finished. “Ok, let’s head back home,” concluded Coz.
Since then Mary and Coz were close friends and both always respected each other’s words.

KENN AND THE SNOWFLAKE

Once there was a boy named Kenn. Kenn was 10 year old and
lived with his mother and sister Eva. Kenn and Eva used to have
a lot of fun together.

It was winters. One day, Kenn and Eva were making a snowman.
Suddenly Kenn found a beautiful snowflake.

He got attracted to it and hold it in his hand. As he was
admiring its beauty, he started to forget all about his life,
his sister and mother. He thought he belonged to a palace
and insisted to go there. Both Eva and his mother tried to
stop him, but he didn’t listen to them and left.

Kenn walked, walked and walked. He didn’t feel hungry.
He didn’t feel thirsty. He wanted to reach somewhere. He
crossed lands, mountains and seas. Finally, he reached a
big palace.

The Palace was very beautiful. It was standing tall inside
the sea just like a rocket. It had thick rocky walls, long
entry path, many windows and beautiful gardens. It has
a tall spy house at the very top, which was overlooking
the houses in the town.

Day’s passed by. It was another Winter. Eva was hopeful that winters would make Kenn remember
about her. She thought of making a snowman but didn’t feel like making it without Kenn. Still,
she made one outside her house. She thought, If Kenn happened to pass by, the snowman would
help Kenn remember about her and all the fun they had together. There was no sign of Kenn.

Eva’s mother’s health was deteriorating every day. Eva knew that her mother would get better
only if she sees Kenn. Therefore, she decided to go and find her brother. She didn’t know where
to start from. She has heard about the big Palace, which belonged to a Wicked Witch. One could
find all the lost things there. She decided to go there to find Kenn.

After asking around in the town, she found that the palace was across the sea and a few men from
the town worked in the palace. She immediately got an idea.

Next day morning, Eva got up early. She packed all the
stuff that she would need. She went to the dock where
the ship to the Palace was parked. She asked the captain
if she could get a ride. The captain was very kind. He
allowed her in.
Eva reached the gates of the Palace. She tried to get into
the palace, but the guards didn’t allow her in. She then
told the guards that it was her first day at job. The Witch
has hired her for guarding her magic potions. Then she
showed them the uniform that everyone in the palace
wore. Eva got the uniform stitched earlier as per the
plan. The Guard has believed her and allowed her to go
in.
Luckily, the witch was not in the palace at that time. Eva quietly started searching for Kenn in the
big Palace. Eva spotted Kenn making some potion in the room. She went and hugged him from
behind. Kenn turned around to see who it was, but he didn’t remember Eva.
Eva was very happy seeing Kenn after so many days. A tear rolled down her eye’s and fell on Kenn’s
hand. The tear broke the magic spell that the witch had casted on Kenn. He remembered
everything about Eva, his mother and his life. He hugged Eva tight.
Eva was very happy to get her brother back. She told him about their mother’s health. They both
hurried back home.
The mother was very proud of her little brave girl. She felt happy that Kenn was back home. Soon
she was well as both the children took care of her very well. They lived happily ever after. Kenn
never picked up a snowflake again!

THE FANTASTIC FIVE

Zack called a meeting because he saw
something bad. Robert asked Zack what
happened. He said he saw a robbery
happening. Now everybody was shocked. Ivy
asked but what could we do? Theo said we
could investigate and solve this problem. You
are right said Leonel. However, how asked Ivy?
Hmmmm hey I saw the thief going to Halawa
hills said Zack with excitement! Then what are
we waiting for come on let's go. When they
reached the Halawa hills they started asking
everyone About the thief but no one knew anything. The Fantastic 5 were appointed. However,
just then Leonel said footmarks. Now everybody was excited! They followed the footmarks and
caught the thief! He had lots of money. The fantastic five informed the police. The fantastic five
donated all the money to an orphanage. However, with police permission.

Once upon a time, there were one papa and son. The father’s name was Alex and the son‘s
name was tom they lived happily but there was a little problem. The nature was dying and the
trees were being cut down then three years later a fairy came and no more tree were cut.
However, a monster was eating them and the killed it. So after some more days Global warming
stared then they started. Then they planted lots of plants. Therefore, after they shifted and they
still did not grow old they still planted plants.

THE MYSTERIOUS ROOM

A woman named Samantha’s husband was about to
go on a business trip and her daughter [Audrey] was
going to her neighbor’s sleepover. They both were
going for 2 days. Her husband left and then she was
cooking some snacks for her daughters’ sleepover.
After Audrey left for her sleepover, Samantha was
doing the dishes and then some soap got into her eyes
she fell. She was kidnapped!
Then she woke up in a very creepy room. She was so
scared, but she kept on walking because she did not
know what else to do. As she kept, walking into the
room got darker and there was
blood all around. She got bruises because spirits were
in there and they fell in the same trap she is walking in
right now, but the question is why did they kill all
these people and why Samantha? Well, that is
because there are people who made this organization,
they work with spirits, and the spirits possess them.
Let us get back to Samantha: after that, she met a talking dog and a cat. When the cat and dog
started speaking well, she fainted! Once she woke up, she asked the talking dog and cat what to
do now; they only said only two things. The cat said- “go left”. While the dog said, “go right”, that
is because the people of this organization made these robots. YES! They are not real, but they
both were supposed to say, “Go right” which was the wrong way, but the cat got out of

their control and she wanted to help Samantha, but everybody always follows the dog and not

the cat and just like all of them, she followed the dog, which was the trap.

After she followed the dog she came in a maze where there were ghosts, murderers and dead
people and if you step on the dead people then you can never go from it like if you do the so
many murders will appear in front of which are controlled by the organization. Samantha did not
even know what all could happen.
Now before we continue let me tell you a little bit about this organization and why
they started it. It all started when one day there was a boy, both of his parents died and after that
he was depressed. Then a stranger walked up to him and gave him confidence. He invited him to
his company to work and when he retired the boy who was depressed became the C.E.O of the
company and he was extremely excited.
He then changed the organization into a bad one!
Why though? Well, when he was a kid and he played with his villain and good guy cartoon toys he
always made the villain win and he always wanted to be a villain. So that is why.

Now when Samantha entered the maze, she got dizzy by walking so much. She then sat on a dead
body without noticing and when she got up murderers did not come but she teleported to a place
where there was a flood in one room and lava in the other.
This happened because of luck. The people who control this their power went off and they lost
signal so if she completes these obstacles, she exits the maze and doesn’t die, and she did it!
Then there were 5 doors door: number 1- fire door number, 2- flood, number 3- zombies,
door number 4- freedom and lastly door number 5 which is all the 3 doors combined!
Therefore, she had two lives if she fails, she dies and she doesn’t know what are in these doors, so
she went in door number 2 and 5 but she didn’t die!
How? Let me explain because god knew she was a good person she wants to help people, so he
hid a button in the shelve that takes her out of here and into her neighbor’s house where her
daughter, Audrey is having a sleepover but… why did not god help others? Well, they were
unlucky. After she came back to life, she was shocked but gave up and was sitting near the shelf
and it fell she found the button and was out of the maze! She took her daughter home called
her husband, he came home, and she found a key she knew it was the key to the creepy room she
locked the door and kept the key safe, but she was kidnapped again. How? I maybe would
have said this, but people were watching her and that is how they kidnapped her, but did you
know, it was her neighbor who captured her. Yes, her daughters’ friend’s mother. Then she knew
kidnapped again in a different and a creepier room with a bigger maze, more talking animals, and
more people to kill! You will never guess her daughter was the one who gave this whole idea, and
is working with her neighbor!

MYSTERY OF THE LION GHOST

I went deep in the jungle. It was dark and spooky (spookier
than I thought). I went ahead and I saw a huge bush. I took
out my spear and, went through the bush. To my surprise, I
saw an arena. I looked to the side and I saw a sign saying’
NOBODY ENTER THE ARENA, THERE IS A GHOST! A SHADOW
IS WACHING YOU RIGHT NOW’. I jumped a step back. In
front of me, I saw a shadow. It looked like a lion! The sign
was right! I saw the shadow for three seconds, and then it
vanished! However, something struck me. How was there a
shadow in front of me when nothing was there? I realized I
had to get rid of the shadow and fast. I saw a sewer so; I
climbed in hoping it would not find me.
The same time I realized I had to keep moving. Therefore, I climbed to the top of the arena but
the shadow was still surrounding me! It was not one but, many! I thought the sign said only one!
Well, I looked in front and I saw a wolf’s shadow and a tiger’s shadow too. ‘Great! How am I going
to deal with them now?’ I decided to see if it is a hologram or real.
I looked up and I saw hologram projector that was facing me. Therefore, I knew it was fake.
Suddenly a cheer rose from outside the arena. I went outside and many people were standing
outside and the chief said-“well done young man! You have true courage”! The chief asked if he
could join his village and the hunter gladly agreed.

she needed a job. She liked fighting, kicking and punching. Her
mom told her – you should be a soldier. Iliana said – Yes, I
should. She became a solder.
After 5 years, she thought it was too tough and it was too boyish
job for her. In addition, it is a man’s work. Iliana left her job as a
soldier and became an artist.
After one year of being an artist, she did not like being an artist
and it was not her passion. She like being a soldier – she
remembered her days as a soldier kicking and fighting and felt
happy about it. She wrote in her diary – I was wrong, I should do
what is my passion. There is nothing called a boy’s job or a girl’s
job. I should not give up at all.
Iliana became a soldier again and stayed happy forever.

THE CHOSEN ONE

Once upon a time, in the Kingdom of Camelot, there
lived a young boy named Arthur. He was the adopted
son of a middle-aged man. He lived there as a servant
doing chores around the house and helping his
adoptive brother on training sessions. Due to his small
size and lack of strength, he used to be picked on by his
brother. One day a strange man wearing dark robes
arrived at the door. He was a wizard named Merlin. He
was here to teach Arthur as he had seen how pure of
heart he was.

Many months passed by, and Arthur gained knowledge about the world. He looked up to
Merlin and wanted to become a great man. Soon after, a rumor spread that there would be a
competition for the position of King. His brother rushed to sign up as soon as he heard the news.
Arthur followed him to the sign-up list and saw a crowd of people. His father trained his brother
every day and used Arthur to be his sparring partner. After weeks of training, the day of the
competition arrived.

Many people gathered at the town square to see the contest. His brother, however, lost
his sword and told Arthur to get a new one. Arthur found one stuck in a stone nearby and pulled
it out. He rushed back to give it to his brother and when the people saw it, they were shocked.
It was the sword of the prophecy that no one could pull out. The chosen one was the only who
could pull out the sword 'Excalibur' would be the one who would rule England. They started
cheering and praising Arthur and crowned him “King of Camelot”.

THE BRAVE DIXEY

Once there was a boy named Dixey, he had a habit of helping
his father in many things at home.

One day his father got him a toy sword and from that day, he
wanted to fight for his kingdom and dreamt to become the
captain of King's army.

He was a shy little boy but was also adventurous when it has to
help others.

Everyone in the village liked him but he at times felt very lonely
because his mother had died when he was very little. His hobbies
were reading, writing, drawing and playing with his sword.

Dixey loved and missed his mother and she always remained in
his heart. He used to write poems about his mother and read
them at bedtime. He used to write messages to the tooth fairy
for his wish to see his mother again, but it never come true.

One night, Dixey was writing using his feather pen and inkpot
but then he got startled by a loud noise and knocked the inkpot.
He thought the inkpot will fall and break but in his effort to catch
it, he pointed his hand at it and the pot started to float in the
thin air, and he could made it land softly on the table.

He was happy but curious how he did that and thought he was
dreaming but he knew what he saw and realized that he had
magical powers!!!

After this incident, he started to practice more magic and found
his mother's magic books and realized that his mother was
actually a magician. He learned many tricks such as lifting the
bed in the air, making magical fire, teleporting, making portals
to reach different places and last but not the least, he could create new things using magic and
gradually got very good at it.

He kept his magic a secret to the world because he realized that people didn’t like magic normally
but he wanted to express his magic and use it for the good cause.
One day, he noticed that there were some airships hovering over the sky and there were soldiers
landing from it on their kingdom, these were enemies and their kingdom was under attack.
These soldiers were very big and strong and very soon wounded the knights of his kingdom and
hurt the King himself.
Dixey decided that he has had enough and it is time to use his magical powers, he disguised himself
using a mask and fought with all the bad soldiers and teleported those to faraway places.
He also healed the king and the soldiers of his kingdom but nobody knew how he was. Their
kingdom was saved because of him.
After the war was over, the King started the search the boy who had helped them and very soon
found about him.
Dixey goes to the King's palace with the soldiers and King made him the Captain of the Army.
Dixey was so happy because he found his mother in the magic and had his dream come true to
become the captain. He lived happy ever after.

journey in a plane. Suddenly the plane crashes and
falls into the deep jungle. They are trying to find a
way out of the dense forest. Let us see what

Siddhant, my best friend Aarav and my all-time partner, my pet dog Bolt were going for an
adventure in a plane. Suddenly the plane broke and fell in a forest where Monster Bell lived. They
were not aware. They were having everything they needed and were great explorers. The first day
they had nothing to do but just put on their tent, get water from the stream and get food from
the trees. The next day when Aarav went to get berries from the bushes, he saw a white coat of
somebody. He thought that there was an old person. When he looked over there, he saw that the
legs were having long claws.

He got too scared, ran to Siddhant and
told him but Siddhant did not believe him.
He had thought that it was an animal. The
next day when Bolt started to bark
Siddhant and Aarav came over there.
Aarav said to him that this is the same
place he saw the beast yesterday.
Siddhant was shocked because he knew
that dogs could smell and see ghosts.
After talking to each other, they saw that Bolt had dug and found a door lying on the ground.

When they opened the door, they saw a secret staircase leading to a secret cave, which was very
dark. They started going down the staircase and inside the cave.

They were getting scared but
they still went on. It was getting
soggier and soggier, wet and wet
but they still went on. After moving
a little ahead in the cave, they saw
another secret door, which had a
lock in it. “It’s a dead end”, Siddhant
said. When they were getting out of
the cave, they saw monster bell
standing In front of them. They got
so scared that they ran away.
After few days when Siddhant was
going down a cliff, he saw the key and took it. He forgot it was a key of that door only. When they
went to go and take photographs of the cave, they came to that same door. Aarav asked Siddhant
that if he had found the key or not. He remembered that he had kept a key in his pocket the other
day. He took it out and he
opened the lock. Then Monster
Bell appeared and said thank
you for opening the lock.

This was my home; somebody
locked me in here, so I died out
of hunger. So, tell me what you
want. The boys said we want to
go home. In no time, they were
home and they told everything to their mothers and lived happily ever after.

THE SCIENCE PROBLEM

Once there was a school named Oakridge
International School, and the 8-A grade is at science
class.

The students were in groups. One group decided
their group name as super stars, the team members
are Twisha, Charvik, Nishi, Samir, Ila, and, Iha.

One day they had to mix chemicals and make a
potion. After one week, Twisha was pouring the
potion into a plate and one drop spilled on her
index finger and she turned tiny.

Only the group and her parents knew she had
turned tiny. The next day Ashu ma’am asked where
is Twisha, Ila told she is sick.

“Oh!” said Ashu ma’am, let her know I want her to get well soon. “Ok!” said Iha. The group want
to create a potion to get Twisha back to normal state.

The group requested Twisha’s parents to not tell this to any one and give them a few days to
make the potion.

After 5 days, they made a potion. Iha put a drop on Twisha’s thumb and Twisha grew back to
normal.

Next day they presented their potion in the competition and won a trophy.

TRIP TO COORG

On 1 January, I went to my mom's brother's house. There I watched TV for 6 hours. Then In
February, my dad went to San Francisco, USA to Join Twilio. When he returned there was
lockdown that started on 22 March. Work from home started for everyone.
On December 17, we went to Coorg. We woke up early in the morning. Our bags were ready. We
got in to the car and started the trip at 7:05 AM. We drove for 5 hours and 25 minutes, 285 Km.
We reach Ayatana, Coorg, and went for lunch. Later we tent to room 118 and, watched TV in the
evening we went to the restaurant to have tea. We came back to room 118
In the night, we went to the restaurant for dinner but the restaurant was closed. We came back
to our room and Slept. Next day we woke up at 8:00 AM. We planned to go somewhere. We went
to the restaurant for breakfast. My dad called mom from the restaurant to get the camera
Dad ordered pancake. Mom came to the restaurant. We went to the car to go to visit The Coffee
Plantation. I saw the Trip Computer. It showed 5 hours, 44 Minutes and 287 Km. We started but
the car was stuck in the Mountains. The next day we went home.

HIKING WITH MEENA

It was a lazy Sunday morning and the sun was shining cheerfully.
Meena could not keep calm as she looked forward to the
adventure that her dad had planned. It was their great way to
help them be active and connect with mother nature.
She finished her daily chores and rushed to the kitchen. Mom
was busy packing the picnic basket and said, “Meena! Give me a
hand with the cheese sandwiches”. Meena smiled and was
delighted. “Everything is packed and we are good to move”,
Meena announced. Soon they were at the foothills of the rocky
trail. When they ascended the first few kilometers, Meena’s Dad
said, “Hey Champ! This is going to be a great hike, we have 600
steep stairs and unknown animal species around.”
Meena asked softly, “Do you mean Grizzly bear?”
Mom was quick to answer and put her mind back on the exciting hike. They had climbed half
way when the sun got hotter and was smiling slyly.
Meena was not playing and exercising lately, because of the lockdown. Meena Hufffff….
ed and Puffffff…. ed, as she counted the steps. “I just can’t move anymore”, Meena said
as she struggled for breath. Mom patted Meena’s shoulders gently and dad turned around
to cheer her up. “Do you know the best view awaits you, UP there …so don’t give up and
keep marching, like you always do”. Meena had some water and started again.
After a few hours of hiking they reached at the peak. Meena’s jaw dropped at the sight
of the breath-taking view. They sat under a rock and had a lovely meal. Meena said,
“WOW! What a hike.”

A TRIP TO THE JUNGLE BANDIPUR

Hi, my name is Aarav! Today me, my dad, mom, uncle, aunt,
grandpa, and grandma are going to the jungle, Bandipur national
park and reserve. There are animals (also endangered species)
like Indian elephants, gaurs, tigers, sloth bears, muggers, Indian
rock pythons, four-horned antelopes, jackals and dholes. We can
go there by car , it’s a 5-hour, 237 km drive from my apartment,
Bren Champions Square, Sarjapur road, Bangalore. That’s a long
drive, right? I hope me and my mom don’t vomit. We have
booked a cabin just outside the forest. Did you know that
Bandipur is near to the state Tamil Nadu? There is a place in Tamil
Nadu called Masinagudi, and did you know that Bandipur and
Masinagudi are 1 forest but their names are different!?
We are leaving now at 8 am for Bandipur. Now it is 10 am and we are having some snacks at a
restaurant. We are done eating, now we are continuing the trip. Now it's 1 pm and we are having
lunch at a restaurant. We are done eating, now we are continuing the trip. Ooh, the place is getting
a little forestry. Now it’s 2:30 and we have reached our cabin. It is so small. Now we have checked
in and taken a rest for one hour. Now it's 3:30 we are going to a nearby waterfall, we have reached
and the waterfall is very high. Now it's 4:30 we are resting in our cabin. Now it's 8 pm and we are
having dinner in a restaurant. Now we are going to sleep. Hey, what’s that I think I heard some
roaring noises, I woke up my dad and uncle, we went outside. It’s a tiger run for your lives!!!
Aah!!! We all ran to our rooms and slept. Now it's morning, so we are going to the forest. I am
ready to go in the jeep. We are starting now. Wow, the forest is so beautiful, and there are a lot
of animals!
Tomorrow we are going home.

THE BOOMERANG

Once upon a time, there lived a poor family in a house. In the
family there lived 4 people. Their names were Mohan, Ahaan,
Kamla and Kartik. They had a boomerang and they used to play
with it every day.
One day they all went out to play with the boomerang. Kartik
threw the Boomerang and it broke the window of their house.
They did not have enough money to fix it as they were very poor
and were exposed to chilling cold.
From that time, they were collecting money to fix the broken
window. Every month they could collect ₹100 and to fix the roof
they needed ₹2,000. Months after months passed by and finally
they collected ₹2,000.
Once they counted the money, all the four children rushed to the market and contacted a
carpenter. He gave them a list of items like wood peace, glass etc.
They returned home and gave a list to their parents. The parents asked Kartik the eldest of all, to
buy these items and give him ₹2,000.
He went to the market to buy the goods but unfortunately was stolen in the crowd and came
back with nothing.
He told this incident to his family. And they cried together that poverty boomeranged.

THE END OF PROJECT ZORGO

get the gadget from the PZ leader so that we save the world
from destructive PZ robots. PZ robots can reform them into a
mega robot which can destroy the world. As a team we must
stop the doomsday date.
DAN: Oh no!! There are PZ robots in front of us
MELVIN: I want to fight them
ADVIT: We must fight with honor and save the world.
PZ Leader: You all have been trapped in my laboratory and my
robots will destroy your ninjas!!
ALL: We are not afraid of you PZ Leader
PZ Leader: You are going to fight the strongest robots.
ROBOT 715: It’s time for the PZ leader!! Attack
MELVIN: oh my god!!the leader is transforming into a robot
and he is stronger than ever!! We need to formulate a plan.
ADVIT: I found the gadget and I will fight the leader. Dan you hack the gadget and Melvin come
with me
PZ leader: Are you scared of me?
Dan:3,2,1, go!! I broke the gadget
Melvin: yes!
ADVIT: We’ll be back leader!
PZ leader: I’ll be back too aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!

THE BIRD AND THE SNAKE

Once upon a time there lived a very intelligent bird the bird
loved to fly one fine day when the
bird was flying out of nowhere a snake JUMPED at him he
dove to the ground and got a cut on
his wing the snake raped him up with his tale and brought him
to his hole in the ground and tied
him up to the wall “LET ME GO!!!” said the bird “1 minute I
just want to go get a knife...then I will let you go” the bird
thought “maybe I can peck the rope with my beak and the
rope will cut!” and so the bird started pecking and a little later
the ROPE CUT!!!
So he tried to fly out of the hole but the snake caught the bird
and tried to pull the bird back but the bird pecked the tail and
flew out but when he was flying to his house the snake was
tracking him and found out where the birds house was and the next night the snake slithered to
the bird’s house and snatched him and took him as fast as he can to an underground castle and
threw him in a cage and under his bed he saw a lock and he knew how to unlock a lock and he
unlocked it under it.
It was a tunnel he went through a little latter he saw light the light was the king's room and there
was 100s of guards when he just stepped on the last stair he fell in a dark hole at the end is was
the gardens beds he sneaked through the beds and finally got to another tunnel he flew as fast as
he can and zipped

Though he found four doors one will get him to safety the first one is filled with lava and the 2nd is
filled with venomous snakes and the 3rd one is filled with water and sharks the bird thought about
it and he found out if he opens the last one all the water and sharks will spill out so he opened the
3rd door and all the sharks and water spilled out and he flew in that tunnel after 2 minutes he saw
a huge door and on the opposite side was his house so he flew as fast as he could and got home
safely.

A HELPFUL MAN FROM ORDINARY MAN

There was a man in a city, when he came out of his flat and
walked into his lift area, he saw one girl also about to come
into the lift, but he did not notice her, and the lift got closed.
He alone went in the lift and the girl remained back on the
same floor.
Then he walked near the street and found one girl blowing
her balloon and the balloon flew above his head, but he
didn’t care about that and the balloon went somewhere in
the street.
Then he was walking in the road and about to cross the
road. At the same time one grandmother was about to cross the same road he held her hand for
safety and started walking in the middle of the road, suddenly one car came fast, and a man
panicked and shouted to stop the car.
By doing this, he saved grandmother and himself, then grandmother thanked and blessed him.
Now he realized we should help others in need, and it will be good feeling and happiness to us.

named Steve. They both worked in a museum. One day, the
boss of the museum wanted lots of money at once. He said,
“You have 10 days to give me a beautiful diamond and I will
give you 1500 $ as your reward or else you will be thrown out
of this museum”.
He wanted to sell the beautiful diamond for 5000 $ and get
lots of money at once. Alex and Steve were ready to find a
beautiful diamond. They found a spot to hunt for the diamond
on. After many hours Alex and Steve found a diamond. They
were very tired and they decided to have a nap. A rich and
greedy man was seeing everything.
He wanted to sell the beautiful diamond for 5000 $ and become richer. He silently crept towards
the diamond. And he took the diamond and ran away. After sometime Alex and Steve woke up
and were shocked to see the diamond was gone!
They searched everywhere but they could not find it. Just then, Alex saw some footprints on the
floor. She said, “Let’s follow the footprints”. Alex and Steve followed the footprints and reached
the rich and greedy man. Alex and Steve snatched the beautiful diamond from the rich and greedy
man and rushed to the museum and gave the boss the beautiful diamond. The boss gave them
1500 $ as their reward.

are captured by aliens. Gama H.Q. has sent a surgical
strike team to rescue the hostages.

As soon as they reach they are under heavy fire from the
aliens as they were astonished to see their weapons.
They were guns shooting maybe a 100 plasma bullets per
second. The surgical strike team immediately called
retreat, and ran taking cover from enemy fire not before
losing 200 civilians and two soldiers before reaching H.Q.
The master at arms suggested to send another wave of soldiers but the chief told them they should
send a jungle team into the forest next to the aliens H.Q. to stealthily take out all the aliens and
rescue all the hostages.

But of course they needed a more detailed and a backup plan. They made a group of elite soldiers
and gave them the hardest training while the few weapon scientists tried to create replicas of the
alien weapons by the description of the soldiers. All the soldiers knew how difficult it was and that
1 wrong move could get them all killed.

This operation will start at 1 o'clock on Friday 11/5/2043. While humans have laser guns, the aliens
have plasma rapid fire op (over powered) guns. The soldiers have been dispatched and they are
ready as ever 2 local vehicles are on the move to the jungle as silent as the wind, 20 mins later the
vehicles are going back and the soldiers are taking positions.

There are two team’s vulture team and cobra team vulture is sniping from the trees at about 1000
ft. away from the aliens. The Cobra team is close up but camouflaged. The plan is when vultures
take out border guards, cobra goes in stealthily and takes out all the aliens and secures the
hostages.

They thought it was a brilliant plane but what they didn’t know was that the aliens had super high
tech drones. As soon as the first sniper took his shot all the drones locked on to his position
thankfully the other snipers took them out but it ruined their plan and gave their positions to the
aliens.

They had to change positions quickly. They were under heavy fire. Cobra helped clean up this mess
but they couldn’t do much not without giving away their position. After 20 mins of fighting they

cleared the aliens but lost 7 men they only have 7 men left, two of vulture and 5 of cobra. Now
they need to get past around 40 aliens and rescue the hostages. Cobra radios into vulture asking
them to take out a guard on the roof.
Captain of the vulture team says call the vipers let them snipe we will join your cobra. Soon the
viper, the most elite snipers were kept for backup if anything went south. There were 3 viper’s
anaconda, mamba and the viper. The viper was the leader and the most skilled he told the cobra
and vulture team to go in.
Vulture and cobra went in and before you know it boom x10000 and the vulture and cobra team
have done the job with the viper with nothing to do. They all have mixed feelings but the common
emotion is happiness.
