Promote the uniqueness and beauty of Cik Siti Wan Kembang state of Kelantan by
highlighting her heritage, culture, art and ecotourism.

ACTIVITIES

• HERITAGE TRAIL: Participants will be given a heritage tour and visit some historical
places; cultural values and beliefs will also be shared, for example the Kelantanese
dialect, the famous traditional performances which include Mak Yong and Wayang
Kulit; and the Malay customs

• INNOVATION TRAIL: Participants will be given a workshop on creative thinking and
innovation as well as exposed to the traditional and contemporary art of Kelantan
such as wau, batik dan songket making

• FOOD TRAIL: Kelantanese cuisine is a must-try. This trail will walk participants through

Journey through Languages

PROGRAMME SYNOPSIS | OBJECTIVES

The Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication welcomes students to a two-
week break with ESCAPADE. We will take them on an exhilarating journey through
Malaysian culture–experience the sprawling urban-scape of Kuala Lumpur, visiting the
world-famous Petronas Twin Towers and absorbing Malaysia’s various architecture, arts,
and cuisines.

Classroom learning, Trips and Excursions
• Lectures and hands-on learning by professionals
• Trips to unique cultural areas and learn about our illustrious history and heritage
• Excursions to unique places and attractions

This programme focuses on effective communication in business as it builds and
maintains relationships, facilitates innovation, builds an effective team, helps in managing
employees, contributes to growth of the organisation and ensures transparency. Apart
from that, an interesting feature of this programme is the exposure to the cultural, social
and historical diversity in Malaysia.
