Vatsa, just turned 18 on 5 July
2016 She has recently completed
IB from UWC east coast and now
heading to university of Rochester to
begin her next four year phase in her life
where she will further study in biochemistry .
Prerna Vatsa is a girl with a very interesting upbringing as during her former years
in school sailing around the world with her merchant mariner dad. He takes credit in
moulding her lifestyle with her diverse interests and excelling in them. Being so close
to the nature while sailing has evoked her interests in expressing and portraying the
beauty through paintings and has also made her interested in exploring beyond the
normal reach in form of diving, trekking and now looking forward to an experience on
ice.

Interacting with adults from different races, culture andn up bring has made her being
more considerate about other living beings thus making her get involved in services
like adopt a grandparent with Alzimers, IFP and Care for
dogs. Sports being a part of her life since childhood
due to her parent’s interests has made her play and
represent her school in sports like badminton,
tennis, volleyball (playing for seasac). All the
above and her vast interest in subjects like
biology and chemistry where she wants
to pursue further research.

Mr. Harminder Singh and his family might be taking part inThe Straits Times Run for the first time but they
are certainly not novices when it comes to sport.
Both Mr. Singh, 41, and his daughter Harmita, 17, are members of the Singapore Gun Club while his wife
Amrita, 39, is a long distance walker. The couple’s son Sahej, 10, is part of NPS International School’s
football team and is already picking up golf from his father.
While they are athletes in their own right, the opportunity to bond and spend quality time together was what
attracted the sports enthusiasts to sign up as a family for the ST Run, to be held on May 22.
“ We try to exercise together but my son has his own circle of friends and my daughter is busy with college
so this ST Run will be interesting as we get to do it together, “ said Mr. Singh, a director of sales at Garrets
International, a marine catering management service.

So we need to Eat smart, Keep Fit and Stay Slim well into our 60s.

Eating smart is very simple. Ask any centurion the secret of his age. He will tell you, he ate everything, in
moderation!
My diet plan is very simple. Eat the whole day!!, but eat wisely.
