From Editor’s Pen
Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional
- Roger Crawford
The above quotation holds true for KVians especially KVMEGians who endured the pandemic period with their
diligence, hard work and the ability to adapt. The session 2020-21 had been a roller coaster drive for everyone
involved in the teaching learning process: the students, teachers and even the parents. The shift from
conventional mode of learning to the online mode happened without much of a fuss from any of the stake
holders. It is to the credit of the all-stake holders that this transition happened, and it kept the flame of
learning alive.
The school e-magazine is not merely a tool to showcase the activities conducted during these testing times
but more importantly it reflects the synergy between the teacher and the pupil and also highlights the fact
that no aspect related to academic/non-academic domain of schooling was left unexplored during the
pandemic period.
The e-magazine is a kaleidoscopic view of all that happened during the session 2020-21. It serves not only as
platform for our students to express their literary skills but also as a platform to honour the members who
have made us proud with their achievements in various fields.
Bringing out the magazine during these turbulent times had its own unique challenges but it is to the credit
of the Vidyalaya family that they made it possible. As the Chief Editor I would like to thank our principal sir
who considered me worthy enough to be entrusted with the task of bring out this magazine. The members of
the Editorial board have worked together as a unit and the magazine is a testimony to their efforts. This
indeed was a learning experience for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Wishing all the members of KVMEG family the very best in all their future endeavours.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
“There are two educations. One should teach us how to make a living and the other how to live.”
John Adams
The importance of co-curricular activities in modern education can be fathomed by the fact that these
activities have become an integral part of the curriculum policy. These activities not only give an equal footage
to every child but also boost their confidence; it also sparks their innate skill of leadership, responsibility,
innovation and creativity.
We at KV MEG & CENTRE are not far behind and the school year of 2020-2021 was no different. The
map of co-curricular activities is dotted with active student participation, this in spite of the fact that education
was administered entirely remotely.
We are indeed very proud of Mahima Ashok and Abhishek Chrisgem who were placed first and second
respectively in the cluster level online debate competition organized by the CCA department of KV MEG &
CENTRE.
The CCA department also organized and conducted the Regional level essay competition on GANDHAGI
MUKT BHARAT.
Two of our teachers Mrs. Revathy Iyer and Mrs. Mala R Denny were featured in the KVS website Delhi, under
the banner TEACHERS FROM INDIA.
Throughout the academic year our students actively participated in several online competitions at regional
and national levels. This includes painting, solo singing, poster making, Fit India drawing and painting
competition, Hindi Diwas poster making competition, Eat right Creativity challenge photography competition
and KALA UTSAV-regional level competition for visual arts 2D and 3D, sculpture and traditional toy making.
All national festivals were also celebrated in the school in a befitting manner keeping all Covid protocols in
mind. The Independence Day was celebrated by honoring a COVID warrior Dr. Rajesh Kadumane. This was
followed by a tree plantation drive; the plants were donated by Tejaswini an ex-alumni.

FUN DAY ACTIVITIES (SPORTS)
During this pandemic as everyone is staying at home and children are also not coming to school it effects their
mental and physical health. So, for keeping them mentally and physically fit these fun day activities are a great
help. Games and sports are one among them. It not only keeps children physically fit but also engaged them in fun
activities and keeps them mentally fit.
Prior to the pandemic, fun day was organized on every Saturday in the Vidyalaya but this time due to pandemic
fun day activities were conducted on every Friday keeping in mind the guidelines of MHRD and KVS.
Games and sports Activities
This session always starts with simple warm up exercises to develop children's interest and make them active, after
that you tube links are shared by the teacher based on some indoor games that children can play in their homes
with their families.
These games are mostly played by using the materials that are available at our home like - balloons, paper plates,
sticks, marbles, etc.
In one session we had organized the activities based on SBSB so that children will learn the skill of playing with
ball, balancing their body and enhance their body flexibility.

Our future plan regarding fun day activities is to encourage all the children to take part in these activities so that
in their monotonous routine they can have some fun and also it will improve their health conditions.
