A. Responsibility:

Responsible for the fulfilment of the mission, tasks, operation and administration of the EOD COE.
Serves as primary Representative of the EOD COE and executes as Senior Slovak Officer full
command authority for SVK staff members but not over the remainder of the EOD COE multinational
staff.

B. Reports to:

EOD COE Steering Committee (SC).

C. Principal Duties:

1. As Director EOD COE
a) Is primarily responsible for the implementation and execution of the EOD COE tasks as
outlined in the Concept for the EOD COE, the applicable MOU and the EOD COE POW as
directed by the EOD COE SC.
b) Overall responsible for EOD COE operational and operational support products, to include
course content/instruction, quality control, publications, written/digital information and EOD
COE promotion.
c) Supervises the development, implementation and evaluation of instruction, policies,
strategies, plans, standards, processes and products concerning the EOD COE.
d) Supervises staff professional development that directly relates to and adds value to EOD COE
operations.
e) Decides on the need and relevance of EOD COE-directed temporary duty travel (TDY).
f) Appoints responsible staff members for additional duties related to EOD COE MOU tasks.
g) Practise the command and control function to all EOD COE staff members with the exception
of disciplinary authority to the multinational staff members.
h) Provides evaluation reports for personnel assigned to the EOD COE.
i) Notifies and advises the nominated Senior National Officer on all issues regarding the
discipline of their personnel assigned to the EOD COE.

appropriate subordinate commands, Sponsoring Nations / EOD Steering Committee and
other customers for EOD COE mission related issues
b) Engage Transformation Network Branch (TNB) in the development and execution of the
EOD COE programme of work in coordination with HQ SACT. Establish, in coordination with
HQ SACT, inter-relationships and bi-lateral functional arrangements with the NATO
Command Arrangement
c) Consult with NATO, national authorities and other relevant organizations to facilitate the
accomplishment of his mission.
d) Establish relationships and partnerships with national and international organisations and
authorities that promote the task and mission of the EOD COE in accordance with the EOD
COE Concept.
e) Make recommendations to SACT on matters affecting EOD related capability improvements,
interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability of forces designated for NATO.
f) Establishes Technical Agreements ICW appropriate nations for external expertise.

3. As Senior Slovak Officer
a) Executes full command authority for SVK staff members:
 Directs and supervises all SVK Staff Members.
 Responsible for training and education.
 Responsible for evaluation reports.
 Co-ordinates additional duties according to Slovak Armed Forces orders.

 Co-ordinates leave.

D. Additional Duties:
