5 1O N C E A S P U R , ALWAYS A S P U RTHFCUnited on the final day of the campaign, when we were defeated 2-1 and ultimately missed out on Champions League qualification…Yeah, we were all gutted. I remember coming down to breakfast on the morning of that game and some of the lads looked terrible. You could tell that they weren’t well at all. I was one of a few players not affected by illness on the day.We went into the game depleted and unfortunately, we couldn’t get the result we needed to get the top-four position and a place in the Champions League. It was a really tough one to take, because it had been a brilliant season for us with some outstanding football played. We felt we deserved to qualify for the Champions League but unfortunately it wasn’t to be.What prompted your move to Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2006?Spurs were very active in signing players during my time at the club. It was great them bringing in the quality that we did – the difficulty for me was seeing so many midfield players brought in. That indicated to me that my opportunities to play might not be that frequent. I could have stayed but I was never the kind of player to stay somewhere and not play. What felt like a good opportunity for me came along at Charlton Athletic and I moved there. You returned to Forest in 2011 and spent the last five years of your playing career there. That must have been very special for you?Yes, it felt like rounding the journey off. Having started at Forest and then going back there and having an impact was amazing. It was a bit of a mixed bag as to how things went in my second spell at Forest – some difficult times and some brilliant times. But it was just wonderful to reconnect with the club and that relationship continues to this day with the coaching role I currently have at Nottingham Forest. Can you tell us a bit about what you’ve been up to since retiring from playing? Coaching was always a road that I wanted to go down. I completed both my UEFA ‘B’ and ‘A’ licences while I was still playing. I had a real eye on where I wanted to go with my coaching career. When I finished playing, the initial plan was to take some time off. But that never really materialised because a wonderful opportunity came along with the FAI to work with the Republic of Ireland Under-18s. I did that for two-and-a-half years. It was a brilliant introduction to coaching. After that, I had the opportunity to return to Nottingham Forest to take the Under-21s job. Since I’ve been back at Forest for the last six years, I did the Under-21s to begin with, then I had the opportunity to step up to first team level for three years when Steve Cooper was manager. That was a great experience. I never got to play in the Premier League with Forest, so to coach in the competition with the club was definitely the second-best thing. Having a hand in us staying up that first season (in 2022/23) was incredible. Now, I’m transition coach at Nottingham Forest – a role which really suits me. Essentially, I help young players develop into first team players and make that step up. I have a close working relationship with both the academy and the first team as a result. “COACHING WAS ALWAYS A ROAD THAT I WANTED TO GO DOWN. I COMPLETED BOTH MY UEFA ‘B’ AND ‘A’ LICENCES WHILE I WAS STILL PLAYING. ”TH23_48-51_Ex_Player_Interview.indd 51 18/03/2026 14:34

6 6SPURS WOMENTHFCMartin named Manager of the Month!Martin Ho was named the Barclays Women’s Super League Manager of the Month for February.Having collected an important six points last month in the WSL, where we scored nine goals across three games, Martin claimed the monthly award for the first time in his career and became just our second Head Coach to pick up the award in England’s top flight.Speaking about winning the award for the first time, Martin told us: “I’m thankful for everyone that voted, but credit to all the staff and players because they are the ones that enable you to be in this position, so it’s not just an accolade and honour for me, it’s for all the staff and players around me. They deserve a lot of credit – it’s a collective effort.“We’ve definitely taken steps in the right direction and we are working towards where we want to be and where we want to go. It’s seven months into what we’re building here, but it doesn’t just come from me – it comes from everyone. I’m just glad we are working towards the ambitions and goals we have set and hopefully there’s a lot more to come.”Toffees take the winKelly Gago’s 83rd-minute goal consigned us to a 2-1 Women’s Super League defeat to Everton here at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.Having trailed inside 12 minutes to a precision strike from Yuka Momiki, we fought hard in search of a leveller but couldn’t come up with much of a cutting edge in the attacking areas until substitute Olga Ahtinen teed up Signe Gaupset to drill home with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.Instead of spurring us on to victory, MANAGER OF THE MONTH MARTIN HO, WITH HIS BACKROOM STAFFWOMENʼS WOMENʼSSIGNE GAUPSET NETS OUR EQUALISER AGAINST EVERTONTH23_66-67_Spurs_Women.indd 66 18/03/2026 15:50

6 8UNDER-21STHFCEdged out at LeedsOur Under-21s fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Leeds United in the Premier League 2 on Monday night.Travelling to the LNER Community Stadium, Rhys Chadwick scored the only goal of a tight game in York, flicking the ball home with 15 minutes left to play.On a night of few chances, we had a glorious opportunity to take a point from the game when James Wilson had the goal at his mercy with two minutes remaining, but the forward blazed over from close range as Leeds claimed all three points. After the final whistle, a coming-together between the players saw the hosts have a man sent off, with substitute Kenneth Mensah shown a red card.Rowswell collects Legacy NumberJames Rowswell became the latest player to make his senior competitive debut for the club during last Sunday’s dramatic 1-1 draw at Liverpool. In doing so, the defender earned Legacy Number 904, joining the exclusive list of players to have represented our men’s first team throughout our history. He joined Under-21s team-mate Callum Olusesi on the pitch in the latter stages, after the midfielder came on for his Premier League bow and second appearance in our colours earlier in the second period.Recognition for RioRio Kyerematen was recently shortlisted for February’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award. The 20-year-old midfielder was involved in all four goals as Wayne Burnett’s side secured a 4-0 home win over Birmingham City on 8 February – scoring two and assisting the other two – before firing in a longrange thunderbolt to help us on the way to a 4-1 home victory against Norwich City on 20 February.JAMES WILSON IN ACTION AGAINST LEEDS UNITEDRIO KYEREMATEN UNDER-21S UNDERTH23_68-69_Spurs_Under_21s_V3.indd 68 18/03/2026 14:42
UNDER-21STHFC6 9It was the second time this season and third time in his career to date that he has been nominated for the monthly Premier League 2 prize, having also made the shortlist in September, 2025, and April, 2024.Manchester United’s Chido Obi, the Manchester City duo of Matty Warhurst and Kian Noble, the West Ham pairing of Joshua Ajala and Reyan Clayton, plus Brayden Clarke and Tommy Setford of Arsenal, were also on the shortlist, with Ajala eventually named the winner.Donley on targetJamie Donley scored his first goal for new loan club Oxford United on 11 March to hand them a vital 1-0 home victory against Blackburn Rovers.The attacking midfielder converted in the 34th minute at the Kassam Stadium after Myles Peart-Harris had a header saved – and it proved to be the only goal in what was a key game for both sides near the foot of the Championship table.Jamie was also this week named in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifying play-offs.His Oxford United team-mate and fellow Spurs loanee Will Lankshear, meanwhile, was recently on target again, scoring Oxford’s second goal in their 3-1 win at Alfie Devine’s Preston North End on 6 March – his ninth goal of the season in all competitions.Bad night against BoroA second-half goal from James Rowswell wasn’t enough as we suffered a 3-1 home Premier League 2 defeat to Middlesbrough on 6 March.Unable to fashion much in the attacking areas during the first period in the face of an aggressive, physical challenge from the visitors, we fell behind shortly before the interval when Layton Campbell headed home from close range.Jack Daley also nodded in at the back post from a corner to double the visitors’ lead just prior to the hour mark and although Rowswell pulled one back with a header of his own soon afterwards, we couldn’t mount a comeback and instead it was Boro who continued to push, Rio Patterson-Powell having a penalty saved by Carey Bloedorn before our former Academy defender Archie Baptiste blasted into the top corner from distance to seal the win for his side.AUGUSTMON 18 A SUNDERLAND 5-3FRI 22 H CRYSTAL PALACE 2-3TUE 26 A BRISTOL ROVERS (VT GP B) 4-4(4-5)SAT 30 H* NOTTINGHAM FOREST 1-0SEPTEMBERFRI 19 A LEICESTER CITY 6-3TUE 23 A PLYMOUTH ARGYLE (VT GP B) 2-6FRI 26 H WEST BROMWICH ALBION 1-0OCTOBERSUN 5 A NEWCASTLE UNITED 4-1SAT 25 A MANCHESTER UNITED 1-4TUE 28 A CHELTENHAM TOWN (VT GP B) 2-2(1-3)NOVEMBERSAT 1 H SOUTHAMPTON* 1-2SAT 8 A FULHAM 1-1JANUARYFRI 16 A BURNLEY 1-1FRI 23 A STOKE CITY 2-1FRI 30 H EVERTON 0-2FEBRUARYSUN 8 H BIRMINGHAM CITY 4-0FRI 20 H NORWICH CITY 4-1MARCHSUN 1 A LIVERPOOL 2-4FRI 6 H MIDDLESBROUGH 1-3MON 16 A LEEDS UNITED 0-1APRILFRI 9 H WEST HAM UNITED 1PMFRI 10 H WOLVES 7PMFRI 17 A BLACKBURN ROVERS 7PMHOME GAMES PLAYED AT LAMEX STADIUM UNLESS STATED* AT HOTSPUR WAYVT – VERTU TROPHYSPURS SCORE LISTED FIRSTFIXTURES & RESULTSPREMIER LEAGUE 2 2025/26(UP TO AND INCLUDING 16.03.26 )Team GP W D L +/- PTSChelsea 18 13 1 4 47:23 40Man Utd 17 11 4 2 39:22 37Liverpool 19 11 2 6 48:31 35Fulham 18 10 5 3 44:28 35Man City 17 11 1 5 51:19 34Ipswich 17 11 1 5 38:37 34Southampton 18 9 6 3 34:27 33Leicester 18 8 4 6 43:37 28West Ham 18 7 6 5 38:30 27Brighton 18 7 5 6 33:25 26Tottenham 17 8 2 7 36:30 26Arsenal 17 7 5 5 26:28 26Crystal Palace 17 7 4 6 29:28 25Middlesbrough 18 6 6 6 35:27 24Sunderland 17 7 3 7 35:35 24Wolves 17 6 4 7 29:39 22Everton 17 6 3 8 24:26 21Aston Villa 15 6 3 6 26:30 21Reading 17 6 3 8 23:32 21Newcastle 17 5 5 7 26:30 20Nottm Forest 18 6 2 10 18:23 20Stoke 17 5 4 8 25:39 19Leeds 17 5 3 9 24:33 18West Brom 18 5 3 10 25:36 18Norwich 18 4 5 9 28:38 17Birmingham 17 4 4 9 24:43 16Burnley 18 3 3 12 22:40 12Blackburn 16 3 2 11 22:38 11 JAMIE DONLEY CELEBRATES HIS GOAL AGAINST BLACKBURNTH23_68-69_Spurs_Under_21s_V3.indd 69 18/03/2026 14:42
70UNDER-18STHFCTop-of-the-table battle ends levelOur youngsters forced a late equaliser against Chelsea to keep the Under-18 Premier League title race wide open on Tuesday evening.Leading the Blues by four points at the summit – and with the visitors holding two games in hand – we knew the first-v-second battle at Hotspur Way could be pivotal in deciding who finishes top, and a tough battle duly ensued. The visitors found a breakthrough with 13 minutes to go when the unmarked Mathis Eboue blasted home at the back post, but we stayed in the game even after Chizaram Ezenwata hit the post for Chelsea and dramatically bagged an 85th-minute leveller when Miracle Adewole’s cut-back was converted in the middle of the box, Oliver Boast putting the pressure on with the ball going in off defender Dante Waite. That meant it stayed the same at the top, with plenty to play for between now and the end of the campaign.Reiss scores from own half!Reiss Elliott-Parris netted a sensational goal from inside our half to set us on the way to a 4-1 home win over Southampton Under-18s last Saturday (14 March). The forward collected the ball on the perimeter of the centre circle after Armend Muslika’s tackle and lofted an excellent shot into the net from distance, prompting joyous celebrations at Hotspur Way.Muslika then produced a classy strike of his own before Elliott-Parris doubled his tally, Walter Nutter subsequently replying for Southampton by scoring direct from a corner in first-half stoppage time before Miracle Adewole lashed home our fourth in the second period.Boast treble sinks BluesOliver Boast’s hat-trick helped our youngsters to a big win at Birmingham City on 7 March. The forward bundled home inside six minutes before netting twice more after the break to complete a 4-1 victory, Conall Glancy also chipping in with his first Under-18s goal. Connor Reilly was responsible for the home side’s sole reply.Ex-Manchester City goalkeeper Farren Doran made his competitive debut for us, while defender Cayon Hanson made his longawaited Under-18s bow with an impressive showing off the bench after missing the entire season up to this point through injury.Eagles reach the finalA towering header from a corner from David Angibeaud saw Crystal Palace escape with a 1-0 win in our Under-18 Premier League Cup semi-final on 4 March. After we controlled much of the first half at Hotspur Way, the Eagles squandered a couple of chances before winning the tie in the 81st minute, Angibeaud nodding Jasper Judd’s set-piece inside the far post.REISS ELLIOTT-PARRIS ON THE FRONT FOOT AGAINST CHELSEAOLIVER BOAST CELEBRATES HIS TREBLE UNDER-18S UNDERTH23_70-71_Spurs_Under_18s.indd 70 18/03/2026 14:25

74WORLD CUP FOCUSTHFCFORM GUIDE Back in March last year, New Zealand became one of the first teams to secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The All Whites’ 3-0 victory over New Caledonia in Auckland that day saw them claim the Oceania Football Confederation’s (OFC) only direct qualification spot at the tournament.Darren Bazeley’s team are scheduled to face Iran in Inglewood in their opening Group G match at this year’s World Cup on 16 June. New Zealand’s other group fixtures will see them take on Egypt on June 22 and Belgium five days later, with both of those games being taking place in Vancouver.THE GAFFERBorn in Northampton, England on 5 October, 1972, Darren Bazeley rose through the youth ranks at Watford to go on to play 281 senior matches for the Hornets between 1990 and 1999. The right-back gained an England Under-21 cap while a Watford player. In his last appearance for the Hornets, he started in the club’s 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers in the First Division Play-Off Final in May 1999, which saw Watford promoted to the Premier League for the first time. Bazeley signed for Wolves in the summer of 1999 and later went on to play for Walsall, New Zealand Knights and Waitakere United before hanging up his boots in 2008. That summer, he became head coach of Waitakere United’s youth team, working alongside former Wolves and Walsall teammate, Neil Emblen. He took charge of the senior team a year later and went on to guide the club to three successive New Zealand Football Championship titles.Bazeley was appointed as New Zealand Under-17 assistant coach in 2009 and then head coach of the side in June 2012. In September 2013, he became head coach of the Under-20s. Subsequent roles with the All Whites saw him appointed as senior team and Under-23 assistant in 2020, while he stepped up to the role of Under-23s head coach and national team technical director in 2022. A year later, he became head coach of the New Zealand senior team and led his team to OFC Nations Cup glory at the 2024 tournament.Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Andy Greeves offers the lowdown on various nations that will be appearing at the tournament and explores their Tottenham Hotspur connections. This afternoon’s featured nation is New Zealand.World In MotionTH23_74-75_World_In_Motion.indd 74 18/03/2026 14:47
7 5WORLD CUP FOCUSTHFCKEY PLAYERNottingham Forest’s Chris Wood became New Zealand’s all-time, leading goalscorer in March, 2022 when his brace in a 4-0 win over Fiji in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier saw him surpass Vaughan Coveny’s previous record tally of 29 goals. Wood is also New Zealand’s joint-record appearance maker currently along with Ivan Vicelich. He will surpass Vicelich’s record tally of 88 appearances when he next plays for his country.Wood was New Zealand’s top goalscorer in World Cup qualification with nine strikes, which extended his international goal tally to 45. The All Whites captain has been sidelined since last October with a knee injury that required surgery.Wood has scored 39 goals in 91 appearances for Nottingham Forest to date since joining the club - initially on loan - from Newcastle United back in 2023. The 6ft 3in striker has also turned out for West Bromwich Albion, Barnsley (loan), Brighton & Hove Albion (loan), Birmingham City (loan), Bristol City (loan), Millwall (loan), Leicester City, Ipswich Town (loan), Leeds United and Burnley since moving to England back in 2009. SPURS CONNECTIONSSince the Premier League’s inception in 1992, Ryan Nelsen is one of six New Zealand-born players to have played in the division – the other five being Lee Norfolk, Danny Hay, Simon Elliott, Winston Reid and the aforementioned Chris Wood.Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, Nelsen’s senior playing career began at Christchurch United before he moved to DC United in the MLS in 2001. An MLS Cup winner with DC United in 2004, the defender’s next career move took him to then Premier League club Blackburn Rovers in 2005. During his time at Ewood Park, Nelsen scored eight times in 208 appearances. Nelsen joined us on a free transfer in February, 2012 and made his Spurs debut as a 75th-minute substitute for Ledley King in our 5-0 Premier League victory over Newcastle United that month. He made his first start for us in our goalless draw at Stevenage in an FA Cup fifth round tie on 19 February, 2012.Nelsen made a total of eight appearances for us in the second half of the 2011/12 season with his one and only goal in our colours coming in our rescheduled FA Cup quarter-final match against Bolton Wanderers at White Hart Lane in March, 2012. His last appearance for us came in our 2-0 Premier League victory over Fulham in May that year. Nelsen spent his last season as a player at Queens Park Rangers in 2012/13. However, he departed Loftus Road at the end of January 2013 to become head coach of Toronto FC. Capped 49 times by New Zealand between 1999 and 2012, Nelsen was included in his country’s squad for the 1999 and 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup also represented the All Whites at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. WORLD CUP HISTORYNew Zealand made their debut at a World Cup finals back in 1982. They lost all three of their Group Six matches at the tournament to Scotland (2-5), the Soviet Union (0-3) and Brazil (0-4) and therefore failed to progress to the second group phase. New Zealand were also eliminated at the group stage of the 2010 World Cup. The All Whites could count themselves somewhat unlucky to suffer this early exit, having been undefeated in their Group F fixtures. But all three of their matches in South Africa ended in draws against Slovakia (1-1), Italy (1-1) and Paraguay (0-0). This summer’s World Cup marks New Zealand’s third appearance at the finals. They missed out on qualification for the 2022 World Cup as they were beaten 1-0 by Costa Rica in the CONCACAF–OFC play-off at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar.TH23_74-75_World_In_Motion.indd 75 18/03/2026 14:47

The Brazilian netted for the fifth time at the Reds’ famous home, having previously scored there twice for Everton and now three times in our colours. That was his 10th of the current campaign.JAMES ROWSWELL…became our latest Academy player to break into the first team with a late appearance off the bench at Liverpool last weekend. The 19-year-old was named on the first team bench for the 12th time this season at Anfield and his debut in stoppage time makes him Legacy Number 904.TH23_76-79_Fixtures_ResultsV2.indd 77 18/03/2026 15:26

8 1THFCFIRST IMPRESSIONSIn a new feature for this season, Billy Shaw catches up with the players to remember the kits they wore on their first appearance for Spurs. Today, we hear from former defender Kevin Wimmer…Former defender Kevin Wimmer has fond recollections of our unique ‘sash’ home kit from 2015/16.Not only did the centre-half, signed in the summer of 2015 from German side FC Cologne, pull on the shirt for his competitive debut in our colours – a 3-1 home win over Qarabag in the UEFA Europa League in September, 2015 – but he would subsequently wear it on his maiden Premier League appearance at Crystal Palace a few months later. Both of those games are remembered primarily for great goalscoring feats – Kevin’s close pal Heung-Min Son famously opened his account for the club with a brace against Qarabag, while the trip to Selhurst Park was lit up by Dele’s long-celebrated wonder strike. The former Austria international says he will always associate that jersey with those milestone matches.“I remember putting it on for the first time against Qarabag knowing I was starting the game – it was such a surreal feeling and hard to understand that it was really happening in that moment,” he told us this week.“It was a very proud time. The shirt from my Premier League debut against Crystal Palace is at my parents’ house in a nice frame in the middle of the living room. All the players signed it as well.“These will forever be my most special shirts, along with the one from my Champions League debut with Spurs.”The latter achievement came away to AS Monaco in November, 2016, where we wore our navy blue and gold away kit from the 2016/17 campaign. The defender would leave us at the end of that season for Stoke City before subsequent spells playing back in Germany, Belgium and Austria. At the age of 33, he’s still going strong now, turning out for Slovakian giants Slovan Bratislava.MY DEBUT KITName: Kevin WimmerPosition: Centre-backDebut: Qarabag at home, Europa League (17 September, 2015)Age on debut: 22Debut kit: 2015/16 home kitIn detail: One of the most unique home kit designs we’ve seen over the course of our history, our Lilywhite shirts in 2015/16 featured a navy blue diagonal sash across the front. The six stripes within the sash were said to be inspired by the emblem below the golden cockerels on top of the East and West Stands at White Hart Lane. Also featuring navy trim around the collar and cuffs, the shirts were complemented by navy shorts and white socks, although for the match in question here – as is the norm in European competition – we changed to white shorts.Wimmer2015/16TH23_80-81_My_Debut_Kit.indd 81 18/03/2026 14:51
