FirePlank by VidaSpace is an eclectic blend of ancient Japanese techniques and todays modern
manufacturing capabilities. The process of charring wood is known as 'Shou Sugi Ban'or
'Yakisugi' and produces, arguably, some of the most exquisite wood textures and colours in
the world.

This centuries old technique is gaining new life, being used by some of the worlds leading
architects and interior designers. The FirePlank Collection is becoming an instant sensation
with designers, looking for striking and sustainable wood designs. FirePlank offers a stunning
range of finishes, from the heavily charred 'St Helens' to the charred red of 'Pinatubo'.

All handcrafted from sustainably grown Cypress, the wood is carefully charred, doused in water,
brushed, stained, and sealed by expert craftsmen.

VERTICAL VERTICAL DESIGNER INTERIOR WOOD CLADDING

All VidaSpace’ products may be used on walls, ceilings or furniture, but Vertical is a highly
diverse collection of wonderful products which have just one thing in common – all have been
designed quite specifically for use as interior cladding.

The range consists of both solid and T&G Wood planks and wall panels made from reclaimed
products which offer authenticity in a consistent and easily usable form, making them a safe
specification for any project.

The solid reclaimed pine planks are planed and sanded and supplied in mixed widths and
lengths as befits an authentic reclaimed product but being straight, true and of uniform
thickness, they are very easy to fit.

The remaining products look complex but, thanks to an ingenious interlinking panel system,
are simple to install. Reclaimed oak is bonded in intricate patterns to OSB sheets; these are set
into CNC cut plexi jigs to create connections which fit seamlessly together: stunning to look at
and they provide a simple solution to achieving maximum impact.

Our passion for wood is indisputable but occasionally we find some amazing non-wood
products for wall cladding. TrikBrik is one such product. You can recreate the Servian Wall
overnight, emulate the Arc de Triomphe in under a week, or simply turn pillars of plaster into
pillars of stone in a day; if you‘ve a mind to do something special, this is the product which will
enable you to bring it to life.

Contemporary design is all about textures, so brick and stone now feature strongly in interiors.
The downside is that they are heavy, messy to fit and require a skilled labour force; brick slips
make use of any existing structure, but are equally as messy and are still best left to a bricklayer.
TrikBrik is completely different: designed as a metre square interlocking cladding panel system,
it comes complete with mastic and paints (sometimes several to achieve the effect) to hide the
joins, and it enables you to achieve authentic-looking brick and stone walls and other features,
quickly and cleanly using unskilled labour.

The patented manufacturing system is the result of no less than 30 years research. High density
polyurethane, polyester resin and crushed marble stone produce an exceptionally light yet
durable, highly realistic panel, with excellent thermal, acoustic and flame retardant properties.
TrikBrik is water repellant and non-permeable, so will not be affected by humidity; nor will it
fade in the sun. The panels are easily cut to size, requiring no special tools, and can be treated
with anti-graffiti formula if required. Furthermore, they can be repainted with a polyester resin
paint; so when your Arc de Triomphe starts to pall in red, you can always paint it purple.
