ABSTRACT

Fossil fuels- including natural gas and coal petroleum- are the primary sources
of electricity. Natural gas is the most prominent source, with 38% of electric
generation, followed by coal with 22% of generation used in 2021. It is now the
essential source in generating everyday electricity because it is cheap and
more reliable than renewable sources. However, being the most prominent
source could also lead to environmental damage. The source is not renewable
and will run out in the nearest time. This paper discussed how electricity could
be obtained from a natural source, specifically from the ground. Electric from
the ground is a natural source that can be renewable and consumed many
times and years ahead. It is a green technology to reduce the dependency on
fossil fuels. To harvest the ground electricity is simply by comparing different
types of soil that can generate more electricity. By this method, innovation can
be created to facilitate electricity from the chosen soil quickly. It is expected
that the success of this research will pave the way for green technology that
reduces carbon emissions.

ABSTRACT

Various types of weapons and defenses have been made from eleventh
century until now for each country with their own uniqueness. However, there
are some mysteries that human still cannot find the way to solve it. Damascus
steel is well known as metal that typically made into weapon blades having the
greatest strength and cutting ability. Many researchers showing high interest
in the formulation and fabrication of the best materials that have the same
performance and strength ability as the Damascus steel. There are many ways
to replicate it but the most important to make Damascus steel is by fabricating
it at very high temperature and having many layers with each sheet spacing
over 50 microns. Nanotechnology using steel “DaMarcus” is also known as
wootz that is produced from steel made in India to create the Damascus steel.
Various elements with different Carbon percentages present in the iron ore.
Moreover, elements such as chromium, manganese, and cobalt are combined
with iron and carbon to increase the strength, sharpness, and flexibility of the
steel. The sword is made using the "DaMarcus" secret steel forging technology
and has a CNT (Carbon Nano Tubes) coating, making it very sharp and
lightweight. A CNT is a hexagonal cylinder made of a chain of interconnected
carbon atoms with a diameter of 1-2 nanometers. The cylindrical CNT may
grow to tens of microns in length and can be closed at the tip section like a
piece of pipe with two closed edges. The material's characterization also
explains the CNT has the greatest strength compared to other materials.
Therefore, these reviews highlight the potential of nanotechnology in bringing
back the glory of Islamic civilization that has been lost in ages.

ABSTRACT

Data Analysis plays an important role in helping researchers and students who
are conducting quantitative research studies. However, some researchers and
students face problems identifying and understanding what type of data
analysis to use when conducting the research. This issue has caused problems
with the research they are conducting, leading to errors. Due to the situation,
we came out with a product named Research Data Analysis Indicator Chart
(REDAIC) in the form of sunburst or wheel chart. The purpose of this project is
to assist researchers and students whom having difficulty determining which
type of data analysis to be used in their quantitative research based on their
objectives and sample group. The project’s primary objectives are to design
and develop the product along with implementation and evaluation whether
the usage of the product meets the purpose. When the researchers use the
REDAIC chart, we can see that the product managed to help researchers
identify the type of data analysis that will be used by them for their research
without any errors. We gave out product evaluation questionnaire using 5
points Likert scale to 30 respondents. The results indicate that the mean value
for visual design is 4.76, tutorial approach is 4.77, applicability is 4.73, and user
satisfaction is 4.70. We can conclude that REDAIC has fulfilled the needs and
wants of the users as indicator of the type of data that needs to be used for
quantitative research

ABSTRACT

The process of photosynthesis requires a substantial amount of sunlight.
However, this sunlight is being blocked by the sheer number of particles in the
air from pollution. This makes growing plants in big cities where pollution is a
common thing an arduous task especially if the gardener lives in a high
building where the sun rays and space are limited. The LED Greenhouse was
created to counter this exact situation by using artificial light to substitute
sunlight and to encourage more gardening among city dwellers. The materials
used for the LED greenhouse is a greenhouse socker, a red LED strip, some
pots and seeds which costs around 70 MYR. It works as a normal greenhouse
during sunny days absorbing sunlight and absorbs artificial light during cloudy
days which is better for plant growth. The reason artificial light is only a
substitute is because it uses too much electricity if solely depended on and is
only better at plant growth if used supplementally. LEDs are the chosen
artificial light since they are very efficient at plant growth and energy efficient.
A study found that the colour of artificial light affects plant growth so an
experiment was carried out. It was found that the plant grown by the red LED
was the highest since chlorophyll strongly absorbs red light so it was chosen as
the colour of our LED. Our project is very marketable to homeowners because
of its small size.

ABSTRACT

Food waste is a significant problem in schools all over the world. Data shows
that Kolej GENIUS Insan’s dining hall collected close to an average of 13 kg of
food waste per day. Every year, KGI’s food waste will total up to a whopping
4.745 tons, about the weight of a truck. Lack of proper planning when buying
and preparing foods are among factors that contribute to excessive food waste
in schools. Based on previous studies, composting helps to reduce food waste
and methane emissions that causes climate change. Composting is one of the
methods to decompose organic solid wastes. There are three types of
composting, namely vermicomposting, aerobic composting and fermentation.
This study uses a bibliometric analysis to examine the result of past
publications on composting in schools.

ABSTRACT

Many traditional technologies, such as refrigerators, TVs, washing machines,
coolers, etc., have improved in the modern, globally interconnected world,
while highways remain primarily unchanged. In addition, in about 5 decades,
oil consumption in the world will end and our highway will surely be
mandatory in the future. Our "Smart Highway" project aims to make highways
more energy-efficient, innovative, and safe. We are using vibration energy, for
instance, to charge electric vehicles. When using this technique, travelling on
roads produces a significant amount of energy in the form of vibration, which
is completely lost. Additionally, cars will release greenhouse gases that weaken
the ozone layer and contribute to global warming. In a similar manner, we
tried using other kinds of energy on roadways using various methods such as
wind, solar, and other green energies, but it is way too costly. Aside from that,
we used photo-Luminescent paint, which charges during the day and glows in
the dark, to paint the road markings and, hopefully, can be used in place of
streetlights. As a result, a highway change is required to utilise green energy.

ABSTRACT

Recycling is the process of collecting waste materials and breaking them down
into building blocks of new products. An efficient waste management via
recycling is essential to protect the environment and health of human
population. However, the recycling rate of Malaysia is estimated at 10.5%, which
is still relatively low compared to the other countries. The community is still
unaware about recycling, they have lack of confidence and awareness in
recycling, thus leading to disposal of recyclable wastes. Therefore, a recycling
tracking application called myPLANET was developed to encourage public to
recycle their waste thus reducing the waste dumping in oceans and landfills.
We also want to develop myPLANET application using Android Studio which
consists of Kotlin, XML and Firebase, and guide users on how to recycle using
the futuristic features in myPLANET app. Modern problems require modern
solutions. Aside from Google's Firebase, which will be used for user
authentication, data storage, and artificial intelligence, we also used XML,
which defines properties and the layout of objects in the app. Moreover, this
apps utilized APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that allows
applications to communicate with each other, and Kotlin, which is the
framework, to create the myPLANET application using Android Studio. As a
result, a tracking system was deployed in the application which would track
the stages of recycling processes. Besides that, a guidelines and FAQ page,
mapping system of recycling centers, reward system and recycling programs
were also administered to make the objectives of our apps come true. This app
will be a steppingstone in meeting towards Malaysia’s goal of a 40% recycling
rate by 2025 and achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

ABSTRACT

An extensive exposure to free radicals from air pollutants and sun UV rays
often leads to skin damage and other health problems. Therefore, green
chemist and cosmetic expertise are expected to develop and innovate
products that have great potential to overcome these problems. Seeds and
skin of salacca fruit have excellent antioxidant properties which can prevent
deterioration of skin cells. Recognizing their high nutritional and medicinal
value, we aim to synthesize an effective and eco-friendly soap derived from the
extract of rose and salacca fruit’s seeds and skin and. The extraction process
was conducted via solid-liquid extraction technique in which a mixture of ethyl
acetate and hexane (1:1) was used as extractable solvent. Then, the extracted oil
was mixed with 0.1 M NaOH for saponification process. The soap produced has
a smooth texture, soft foams and liberate soothing fragrant smell. After that,
the presence of antioxidant compound of the soap was validated from
Attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-
FTIR) spectrum. This innovation not only opens the idea to the reduction of
food and agricultural waste, but also to the utilization of highly nutritious
ingredients in producing a product that is beneficial for skin health.

ABSTRACT

Black glutinous rice (Mhor37) is one of the plants that contain anthocyanin.
Which is a naturally occurring pigment and will be able to change color
according to the pH level. The efficacy of black glutinous rice (Mhor37) extract
was studied by using a solvent of acetic acid and ethanol at concentrations of
30%, 45%, and 60% with a ratio of 1:1 (g/ml) for 12 hr and 24 hr. After that, take
the extracts extracted with acetic acid at a concentration of 30% for 12 hr
adjusted the pH level to 1.5, 3.0, 4.5, 6.0, and 7.5. The experimental results show
that the extract from black glutinous rice (Mhor37) extracted with 30% acetic
acid at pH 1.5 was efficient in chromosome staining at onion roots and it can
clearly observe each phase of cell division. This project is expected to reduce
the use of chemicals in chromosome staining, it may result in less chemical
contamination in the environment and it also reduces the budget for the
purchase of expensive chemical dyes.

ABSTRACT

Microgreens are seedlings grown from the seeds of vegetables, herbs, and
grains that are regarded as functional food with high mineral contents and
helpful bioactive compounds. Nowadays, the research on the effects of light
factors affecting the growth and quality of microgreens is usually confined.
Therefore, this study was focused on determining the optimal light spectrum
that enhanced the growth and nutritional values of Thai amaranth
microgreens with growth LED artificial light. There were cultured under
different light spectra for 8 days provided by illuminated continuously 16 hours
for a day. The experiment was replicated three times using statistics of a
randomized complete block design (RCBD). Thai amaranth microgreens gave
different light spectrums: red, blue, red + blue (70:30), and white. The results
revealed that the light spectrum played an important role in the production of
phytochemicals in Thai amaranth microgreens. Although the monochromatic
blue spectrum had the worst overall performance, it provided the highest
antioxidant capacities of Thai amaranth microgreens. For the overall
performance, a red and blue ratio of (70:30) LED spectrum can increase the
nutritional value of Thai amaranth microgreens, according to the findings.

ABSTRACT

The palm oil industry is a very important in a Southern Thailand’s economy but
during processing of oil palm process, it produce too much wastewater as
known as Palm oil mill effluent or POME. The wastewater from biogas
generating process still has a high chemical oxygen demand (COD), so it can’t
be released out and need to be treated. Therefore, the wastewater with a high
COD value is suggested to treated with microbial electrolysis cell or MEC, a
process that uses electrical energy from an external energy source to catalyze
internal biological reactions. MEC increases the efficiency of the removal of
organic matter by microorganisms and can continue to produce biogas. This
research aims to study the effect of feeding electricity into the MEC system for
treating the synthetic wastewater on biomethane production efficiency based
on analysis of results obtained by feeding 0.7, 1.0, and 1.3 V currents into 2
serum bottles with electrodes and 3 serum bottles without electrodes for 23
days. The result exhibited that methane production using MEC with applying
0.7 V give an 8.50% higher daily cumulative CH4 production than control set
and methane production using MEC with applying 1.0 and 1.3 V give 0.76% and
2.56% lower daily cumulative CH4 production than control set. It can be
concluded that by applying 0.7 V to MEC could enhance the methane
production.

ABSTRACT

Astaxanthin is a highly bioavailable antioxidant carotenoid. It can be extracted
from marine life such as shrimp, crab, and red algae. Most of astaxanthin
products are extracted from red algae which use costly production. Searching
for lower cost sources of astaxanthin would be an interesting alternative way.
Therefore, this research aims to extract astaxanthin from crab shells to study
biological activities related to biomedical sciences. Astaxanthin was extracted
from crab shells (shell and claw) in ethanol. The astaxanthin concentration was
determined by colorimetric method. Then, the extract containing astaxanthin
was subjected to determine antioxidant activity by ABTS assay, Caco-2 cell
survival by MTT assay, and oil encapsulation using simple emulsion method.
The results of this study found that the crude extract from molted crab shells
had higher astaxanthin content and antioxidant activity than the crab claw
extract by showing the astaxanthin content of 0.239±0.006 mg/g DW and
antioxidant activity of 18, 038.824±1757.679 µM TEAC/g extract. The crab shell
extract at the concentration of 250, 500, and 1000 µg/ml inhibited the cancer
cells by 20, 35, and 60 %, respectively. When the crab shell extract was applied
in oil emulsion, it was found that coconut oil was the most suitable oil for
encapsulation of the extract containing astaxanthin. Therefore, molted crab
shell could be an interesting alternative source of raw materials for astaxanthin
extraction to reduce production costs by utilizing waste from the molted crab
industry and developing as nutritional supplements in the future.

ABSTRACT

Cinnamon is a Thai herb that has a unique smell. It is widely used in health
care and traditional medicine. There are many benefits in antibacterial and
antifungal properties. Moreover, It was claimed to reduce stress. However, the
study in brain function is still less. Therefore, this study was interested in
effects of cinnamon oil on brain activities. In this study, 10 participants were
included. EEG and ECG were recorded during distilled water, lavender oil and
cinnamon oil inhalation. Each inhalation was operated by 3 minutes of eyes
opened and 3 minutes of eyes closed, respectively. At the end of the
experiment, participants were asked to fill a satisfaction questionnaire
between the scents of cinnamon essential oil and lavender essential oil. In
addition essential oils compositions were analyzed using GC-MS.Main chemical
composition of cinnamon essential oil is cinnamaldehyde while lavender
essential oil is linalool and linalyl acetate. Result of brain activities showed that
beta frequency significantly decrease during cinnamon oil inhalation with eyes
closed. Furthermore, both lavender oil and cinnamon oil inhalation tend to
increase when compared with distilled water inhalation group. ECG can be
linked to the autonomic nervous system and the result did not show
significant difference between groups. Overall satisfaction revealed that
participants liked scent of lavender more than cinnamon. This study can
concluded that cinnamon oil affected on beta frequency however it did not
affect on autonomic nervous system. Therefore, cinnamon oil may be produce
anxiolytic effect on brain function due to the decreasing of beta wave and
smell preference is not directly related to changes in EEG and ECG.

ABSTRACT

Management of water quality is the most important limiting factor for the mud
crab (Scylla spp.) fattening process in recirculating condo system (RCS). The
effluent especially ammonia in the system affects the survival and growth of
the crabs. The purpose of the research was to assess the efficiency of different
types of seaweeds in reducing ammonia concentration in the condo system.
Two experiments were conducted; (1) a preliminary study in the experiment
tank without crabs and (2) in the RCS system with crabs that feed regularly
with fish. Four species of seaweed were used in experiment 1, namely Gracilaria
fisheri, Chaetomorpha linum, Ulva rigida, and Caulerpa lentillifera. After 5 days
of the experiment, it was found that there was a different filtering rate of
ammonia between them (P<0.01). Additionally, G. fisheri and C. linum were the
most efficient seaweeds in removing ammonia in water. In experiment 2, these
two seaweeds species were tested in the RCS system together with control. It
was again confirmed that seaweeds could effectively remove ammonia from
the RCS system (P<0.05) and G. fisheri was the most efficient compared to C.
linum. Apart from that other water parameters indicated that using seaweeds
in the RCS system can improve water quality by having higher dissolved
oxygen value and lower pH value. Therefore, it is suggested that using
seaweeds, especially G. fisheri is important to remove ammonia in water and
help the healthy status of the system leading to healthy crab production.
However, C.linum, on the other hand, has a high capacity for sediment
trapping. A combination of using both seaweeds species is also recommended.

area. Randomly selected 10 trees that have a circumference of more than 50
cm. Placed 50 x 30 cm gride frame on the tree and investigated lichens. All
lichen was found in 20 species, of which 5 were in the highly tolerant group, 12
were in the tolerance group and 3 were the in sensitivity group. When
comparing with the air quality assessment criteria, it was found that the
overall air quality of the forest area was “fair air”, and the agricultural area and
community area were “fairly good air”. Therefore, the air quality of Chulabhorn
Phatthana Village 12, Narathiwat Province was “fairly good air”. based on
various factors data. It was shown that, If sea level, road distance, and relative
humidity in the air increase. Perennial frequency per lichen species tended to
decrease. If the light intensity and air temperature increase, perennial
frequency per lichen species tended to increase. From the survey, it was found
that in the Chulabhorn Phatthana 12 village area, lichens can be used as an
indicator of air quality, but it is necessary to collect data on factors affecting
the growth of lichens. Along with other environmental factors to analyze the
relationship of lichen with various environmental factors.

ABSTRACT

Cannabis is a plant that has been used for several purposes from the past till
now including leaves, flowers, stems, and roots. The cannabis root is not very
popular because it does not contain cannabinoids. However, cannabis root
contains the active ingredient in the triterpenoid group, friedelin. Many
research had reported that friedelin can reduce inflammation and also has the
ability of antibacterial. Thus, this research aimed to extract friedelin from
cannabis roots and study comparative friedelin concentrations on inhibiting
the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. Friedelin extracted from
cannabis roots was tested for TLC to determine and analyze the primary purity
of the resulting friedelin. Friedelin concentrations of 64, 256, and 1,024
micromolar were tested for inhibition of the growth of Propionibacterium
acnes (P. acnes) bacteria by the disc diffusion method. The result of the TLC
test friedelin from cannabis roots has a single component and a value similar
to the standard friedelin with distilled water can confirm that friedelin from
cannabis roots is pure. For the result of inhibiting P. acnes bacteria of the
Friedelin extract sample when compared with standard antibacterial
clindamycin at a dose of 0.002 mg had a diameter of 48.34±2.16 mm in the P.
acnes bacteria inactivation region but friedelin was ineffective with P. acnes
bacteria, however, friedelin extract can be applied as a product to reduce acne
in the form of reducing acne inflammation, but not to inhibit the growth of
bacteria directly.

ABSTRACT

Waterproof paint is part of the waterproof system which consists of two
important components: pigment and binder. The binders that are available in
the markets are mainly composed of harmful additives such as heavy metals,
volatile organic compounds, solvents, and so forth. In this research, we
prepared waterproof paint based on natural rubber latex that is
environmentally friendly and meets TIS standard and Green Label. Apart from
that, the prepared paint is also antifungal, making it sustain its quality without
microbe living on it. The paint was prepared by mixing the pre-vulcanized
natural rubber latex (NRL) compound with acrylic emulsion (AE). When varying
the ratios of NRL and AE, it was observed that the ratio of 70:30 (wt%/wt%), is
proper for preparing paint. This ratio provided a homogenous mixture and
suitable tensile properties. Afterward, the paint was undergone certain testing
and analysis to meet the requirements of TIS no. 1123-2555 (Masonry primer)
and Green Label. The tests for TIS covered the film characteristics when dry,
fungal resistance, water resistance, and alkali resistance. Meanwhile, the Green
Label contained an analysis of volatile organic compounds and heavy metals
(Pb, Cd, and Hg). It was observed that waterproof paint successfully passed the
TIS and Green Label requirements. It can be concluded that waterproof and
antifungal paint is successfully prepared, it also meets the Green Label
requirement which can be claimed as environmentally friendly paint.

ABSTRACT

Natural disasters in the 21st century is a result of the pollution that creates a
chain effect from human activities that are damaging the earth and
ecosystem. As an example, deforestation can cause soil erosion and critical
flash floods which later would increase the chance of landslides to occur and
flow into the river and killed the underwater ecosystem. The objective of this
project is to create a device that works as an indicator for early signs towards
natural disasters, this device can be used in preventing catastrophic natural
disasters from happening in the future, and help the United Nations in fulfilling
their Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) number 14 Life Below Water and 15
Life On Land. This smart project is powered by micro: bit, a small computer
that can easily be programmed. The micro: bit has a built-in thermometer,
tremor sensor and buzzer. It is also equipped with manufactured by
ELECFREAKS the additional sensors consist of elements such as Soil Moisture
Sensor and Water Level sensor and the IoT:bit. The IoT:bit is an attachment
board that is used to allow microbit to connect to ThingSpeak. By using these
sensors, it can detect real-time and accurate information of the data. This
project also applies the IoT technology by using the IoT:bit. This device is also
equipped with an OLED screen that would display the real-time information of
the data. Furthermore, this device can work as an early warning system by
program it to set off an alarm if the data elements condition or levels goes
exceeding beyond or below the limit setup. As an example if the micro:bit
detects water level going more than the level that it should, it could be a sign
of floods in the area. In conclusion this device can be used to detect the
ambient temperature, soil moisture, tremor activities and water level in an
area. Thus, not only it can work as an early warning system but also can be used
to monitor the nature’s condition.

ABSTRACT

Pollution caused by conventional or petroleum-based plastics has been a
worldwide problem since the past few decades. To reduce the effects of these
non-biodegradable polymers, the development and study of eco-friendly
bioplastics has increase throughout the years. Bioplastics can be made from
various biomass sources such as vegetable oils, food waste, or agricultural
byproducts. Today, bioplastics can be easily developed using grocery items
found in the kitchen with glycerin as its plasticiser. In this study, the
comparison of physical properties between bioplastics made from both plant-
based and animal-based food products will be assessed and investigated. The
composition of the starch bioplastic samples mentioned are optimized and
made with the same starch:glycerin:vinegar:water weight ratio which is
6:5:5:50 respectively meanwhile the gelatine bioplastic samples are made with
gelatine:glycerin:water weight ratio of 4:1:20. Each mixture is heated and
stirred for 3 minutes and then poured into a glass petri dish taking account of
same thickness and volume. After drying in the oven at 55 °C for 24 hours, the
samples are measured and cut into pieces with dimension of 3 cm x 4 cm.
Later, the appearance and surface morphology of the bioplastic samples will
be carried out using optical microscope while its structure elucidation will be
done using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR) and UV-Visible
Spectrophotometer (UV-Vis).

ABSTRACT

Pineapple and banana are one type of fruit whose pulp is used as a processed
food. Meanwhile, the skin of the fruit that is left alone will pollute the
environment. The purpose of this study is to find alternatives to the use of
pineapple peel and banana peel waste through making liquid organic fertilizer
with a natural bacterial strater and knowing the effect of fertilizer on chili plant
growth. This study used an experimental method by making variations in the
mass ratio between banana peel and pineapple peel. Making liquid organic
fertilizer first makes straters. After that, organic fertilizer is made based on
variations in the ratio of banana peels and pineapples and strater variations.
Based on this study, organoleptic test results of color aspects in fertilizer B and
fertilizer C were obtained by 2.33. The results of organoleptic tests on aroma
aspects on fertilizer B amounted to 2.78 and fertilizer C amounted to 3.11. The
application of organic liquid fertilizer affects the growth and number of leaf
blades on chili plants.

ABSTRACT

Covid-19 becomes a global disease that can change many dimensions of
human life. In 2022, according to data from WHO (World Health Organization),
the number of of covid-19 cases in Indonesia is 6,19 million people. One impact
from this case is the change of Indonesia into a new normal era. The existance
of a new normal leads to a new obligatory habit which is washing hands.
Whereas Rasulullah decree to wash our hands three times before and after
doing any kinds of activities (Narrated by Moslem). Using soap and water while
washing our hands is the effective technique or method to kill germs. The
purpose of this research is to make inovations from basic soap into organic
paper soap. This innovation is expected to be an effort for making people
easier to use soap. Mangosteen peel contains antibacterial substances such as
xanthone, tanin, and flavonoid which is 95% effective in inhibiting bacterial
growth. Based on data of Ministry of Environment and Forestry of Indonesia,
mentioned that 57% of Indonesia waste is organic waste. Therefore, this
research also can reduce the amount of organic waste which is the

ABSTRACT

Dental and oral health in Indonesia is something that requires special
treatment from an early age. The 2019 basic health research stated that 93% of
early childhood children have cavities, meaning that only 7% of children are
free from dental caries problems. Damage to the teeth can affect the
nutritional status of the child because the child tends to refuse to eat. Apello is
a creative innovation of toothpaste based on manalagi apple extract and
fluoride-free. Manalagi apples have the ability to effect to inhibit the formation
of spots in teeth due to the content of catechins in manalagi apples. The
content of polyphenols as antibacterial so that manalagi apples are an
appropriate combination to be used as a base for toothpaste. The research
method used is an experimental method and is continued with organoleptic
testing. The existence of Apello is expected to make children diligent in
maintaining healthy teeth because the content of apple peel is liked by
children.

ABSTRACT

This research examines the correspondence between Kepler's Second Law and
Yaseen verses 38–40 and demonstrates how the discovery of Kepler's Law
verifies the veracity of the Qur'an. Islamic scholars have revealed the
astronomical understanding behind the Qur'anic verses throughout the history
of humanity's astronomy-related Qur'anic study. Moving west, the German
scholar Johannes Kepler organised his comprehensive perspective of
heliocentric astronomy. Yaseen verses 38–40 explain how the astronomical
objects orbit the galaxy's centre point in accordance with the accepted
principles. On the other hand, Kepler's laws of planetary motion offer the first
quantifiable relationship between the planets, including earth. Kepler's Law,
which was established around four hundred years ago, had been mentioned in
the holy Quran more than fourteen centuries ago, and it has been confirmed
by scientific discoveries. Therefore, this research corresponds to the relation
between Kepler’s law and Quranic studies to be a guidance for Qur'an
memorizers on how to comprehend astronomy better. This research illustrates
the relationship between western knowledge and astronomy-related Qur'anic
study by incorporating evidence from Islamic scholars' interpretation and
document studies of Kepler's Law. We discuss literature review as a
methodology for conducting research and offer an analyzation of two main
sources, which are Kepler’s Second Law and verses from Quran 36:38-40, as
well as some guidelines on how to both conduct and evaluate a literature
review paper. Our analysis reveals a significant correlation between Kepler's
Law and the holy Qur'an. We concluded that Kepler's Law does corroborate
Quranic veracity.

ABSTRACT

This research examines the effectiveness of the breast cancer awareness
campaign conducted throughout Malaysia in increasing the survival rate of
cancer patients from 2007 to 2011. This campaign provides awareness to
women to perform breast cancer early detection screening. This early
detection screening is divided into three types which are Breast Self-
Examination (BSE), Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) and Mammography
Screening. BSE is a screening method used to detect breast abnormalities by
the individual himself. This method is an approach to detect swelling or lumps
in the breast. CBE is a clinical breast examination performed by a professional
doctor in this field to identify abnormalities and early signs of cancer cell
growth in the breast area. Finally, Mammogram Screening is a method used to
detect breast cancer at an earlier stage, when the cancer cells are still small
even before the lump can be detected. At this stage, cancer is easier to treat.
The implementation of campaigns throughout the country increased the
percentage of people who did the screening to detect the growth of cancer
cells at an early stage. This campaign also provides information and a deeper
understanding regarding health and daily practices for breast cancer patients
in practicing a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the survival rate of cancer patients is
higher because patients receive treatment earlier. The design of this study is a
qualitative study. The methodology used is a literature review and also an
analysis of cancer patient survival rate statistics from 2007 to 2011.

ABSTRACT

The IGED curriculum (INAQ Gifted Education) aspires its gifted and talented
student to be balanced in their Naqli-Aqli knowledge. By balanced Naqli-Aqli
means that the merging of science with Quran and Sunnah is distinct. This
balance can only perhaps be seen from surveys and interviews done on
students. Eliciting the information through these qualitative methods might
not be an accurate proof of the knowledge. Hence, a platform to showcase the
manifestation of both knowledge is indeed crucial as it reflects students’
understanding in theory, as well as application. This study investigates
whether or not the Ilqa Abqari presentation model is an effective platform in
eliciting the balance and to see whether the model is versatile enough to be
implemented in all subjects.

ABSTRACT

Contrary to popular beliefs, a one–size-fits-all approach to education can’t be
used by all educators, teachers and lecturers alike. Conducted classroom
classes unfortunately isn’t for every student. The efficiency of one student
learning can be maximized by approaching the range of tasks and topics in
one-self most comfortable way. The purpose of this research is to identify the
profile of multiple intelligence among students of Kolej GENIUS Insan and help
those gifted students develop and learn to their best of abilities. This research
is quantitative research. Research sample consists of 96 2022 intake

ABSTRACT

It is important for a gifted student to learn according to their suitable learning
style as it can help them to focus in class and perform better in examinations.
VARK is one of the worlds widely used technique to determine the most
suitable learning style for a person. This quantitative research is focusing on
exposing Muslim gifted students to their own matching learning style using
VARK. 96 different 13 years old Kolej GENIUS Insan students with different
backgrounds are selected for this test. VARK questionnaire version 7.0 is being
used for this test. The questions order is placed randomly and the mean was
calculated and ranked from the most dominant learning style. The result of
this research shows that the most dominant learning style amongst the
Muslim gifted students is through aural learning style with 36 (37.5%)
respondents matched followed by kinaesthetic learning style with 28 (29.5%)
respondents. There was no difference in the preferred learning styles among
the sexes. Since the most preferred learning styles were aural and kinaesthetic,
the strategies that must be used by students to excel in classes should be
recording of lectures and practical learning exposure. This will also help the
teachers to conduct a learning environment suitable for the students with
their need and guide them in achieving better results in examination.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused abrupt and profound changes in the
implementation of teaching and learning (PdP), from fully face-to-face to
blended learning that combines face-to-face methods and online, offline and
off-site learning. To ensure a holistic approach in students’ assessment, Kolej
GENIUS Insan has embarked on the implementation integrated assessment
where the STEM subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics
and Additional Mathematics are implemented as the core of the subject
assessment, while the marks for Language and Social Science subjects are
calculated through the project implemented. This assessment also covers
aspects of the application of values and moral development of KGI students
where they have to work together to ensure the completion of the project. In
the effort to develop the student’s holistically to nurture Islamic scholars of the
future, it is essential that the assessment integrates the knowledge, skills and
values continuously in their learning process. This small-scale research
employs a quantitative method to gauge the perception of students on the
implementation of the integrated assessment for gifted Muslim students in
Kolej GENIUS Insan. One such example is the implementation of Project Based
Assessment (PBA) during the MCO period, and during face-to-face teaching. It
is found that although students agreed with the implementation of the
integrated assessment, problems arise in terms of working together to achieve
the set target as students are still learning to work in a group and learn values
like tolerance and respect to one another. It is hoped that KGI can support the
aspirations of NEP which highlights the balanced development of students as
contributors to the nation’s development in future.

Poetry therapy is a form of expressive arts therapy, involves the therapeutic
use of poems, narratives, and other spoken or written media to promote well-
being and healing. It is proven to be effective because poetry can reframe
difficult emotions through free-form verbal expressions. The various activities
involved in poetry therapy are choosing, reciting, summarizing, picturing, and
responding to a poem. This research is to compare conventional poem over the
verses of the Quran that are arranged into poems and to see whether the latter
can be used as substitution for the earlier as poetry therapy. Five gifted and
talented students were selected to be part of the research in which they were
given both poems for responses. The responses as findings show that subjects
were more inclined towards the Quran verses in terms of understanding and
visualizing.Hence, the study concludes that the verse of the Quran is a more
effective poetry therapy and there is no doubt that the Kalamullah is great
when it comes to emotional healing, simultaneously, proving the power of the
Quran.

ABSTRACT

Fresh milk contains lactose sugar and has the pH normally within the range of
6.4 and 6.8. Harmless bacteria from the strain Lactobacillus ferment the
lactose by converting it into lactic acid. With more lactic acid being produced,
the milk will be rendered more acidic. This would result in the changes of the
taste and smell of the milk, making it unsuitable for human consumption. In
the market, the phrase “Expires on” is commonly used to indicate the day for
the beginning of the milk deterioration after which it may become unsafe to
consume. However, fresh milk could also be degraded much earlier due to the
physical injuries that could result from mishandling, transportation, storage,
chemical reactions, and/or enzymatic actions. Nevertheless, there are also
cases where the milk products are still good and safe for consumption after
this labelled date. This uncertainty creates confusion on the total safety and
freshness of the milk product. Our innovation aims to develop an edible pH
sensor for smart fresh milk packaging based on red cabbage (Brassica
oleraceae var capitata L.) to indicate the quality of the milk products during
and after their indicated shelf life. Red cabbage contains anthocyanins which
are also known as the natural alternative to synthetic dyes. They are non-toxic,
renewable, eco-friendly, and highly sensitive in nature. They can exhibit colour
changes in different pH media i.e., from acidic to basic. This edible indicator
can provide information on the degree of freshness of the milk through a
colour change which is easily identified by the consumer. We hope that this
edible and low-cost pH sensor could be developed into a smart packaging not
only for milk products but also other various food products, and would
contribute to the minimization of food waste.

ABSTRACT

Charcoal briquettes are now among the most widely utilized fuels because of
their higher burning rate and cost-effectiveness. As a non-renewable resource
that is still in use, coal may ultimately run out. Other than producing oil, palm
plantation produces by product which have great potential to be expand into
more commercial product. In this study, the oil palm frond is utilized into bio-
charcoal briquette with the process of carbonization and briquetting. The oil
palm frond is carbonized in a furnace with high temperature to produce bio-
charcoal as alternative in renewable energy. The advantage of this study is to
provide effective utilization of oil plantation by-products using an oil palm
frond.

Increasing plastics demand specifically in additive manufacturing has
proportionally increased the dissipated induced from 3D printing activities by
adopting polymer plastic as filament. There were several types of polymer plastics
used in 3D printing filament. However, serve as biodegradable polymer, easy to
print with medium strength resulting PLA to be used widely in additive
manufacturing as filament. Therefore, PLA waste generated from 3D printing
dissipation ultimately increased, hence deteriorated environment on land and
becomes crisis to be solved. Concurrently, cellulose as the main chemical
component of biomass which readily feasible on the field accompanied with
renewable, biodegradable, and biocompatible properties. Thus, this study aims to
formulate sandwiches of regenerated cellulose nanofibre with glycerol and
reinforced with 3D printed waste PLA via layer-by-layer technique. Consequently,
the blend cellulose solvent and CNF was frozen and vigorously stirred at -12°C for
dissolving purposes to obtain cellulose solution. This solution then was cooled to
remove air bubbles and eventually undergone casting process. Thereupon, casted
film was coagulated in different coagulant containing different percentage of
glycerol and with 5% PLA solution. This process occurred through layer-layer of
CNF-glycerol-PLA and the films were air-dried using PMMA sheet. Surface
roughness of the dried films were observed where different glycerol content
resulting on different surface roughness on top and bottom surface of the films
and adding with PLA has improved both surfaces. Mechanical properties also were
investigated by testing their fragility, foldability, and tear strength. The results
showed that different amount of glycerol possessed different mechanical
strength. FTIR analysis for chemical interaction portrayed that CNF has been
incorporated with glycerol and PLA where functional groups wavenumber of PLA
and glycerol existed in the films. Subsequently, this green bioplastic composite
films can be utilized in various field while maintaining the sustainability of in
plastic and biomass industry.
