RESIDENT WELLNESS COMMITTEE ACCOMPLISHMENTS & GOALS February Wellness Month • Bingo Card • Wellness Lectures • Lunch on the GME balcony First Fridays • RWC will encourage resident cohesion and bonding via monthly brewery meetups on the first Friday of the month. Depending on participation in the first few months, we will visit the idea of trying to cater food to these events. Alcohol will not be paid for by university funds. New Year event • Aim for June -July 2023 with incoming interns involved. Ideas include a beach/park day. Annual Internal Medicine Get Together • Can discuss further, but an afternoon of hanging out with co -residents with planned activities or lawn games. Also discuss starting an annual semi -formal event. Internal RAC nominations • Prior to the official RAC applications being due, we should internally nominate internal medicine residents so our program has representation within RAC. -RWC Chairs, PGY2’s Dr. Shakfeh and Dr. Casals 103 WELLNESS

RESIDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM WELLNESS WHILE YOU WORK Each year we provide interns with an opt-out introduction visit with the Resident Assistance Program (RAP). We assist with scheduling virtual visits between October-December. We created automated email reminders to go out the week before their appointment, and attendance was discussed at their first SemiAnnual visit. How can we improve attendance or rate or decrease no show rates (have residents opt-out instead of no show)? 108 Categorical Attended • 20 Categorical No Show • 9 (+4 opt out) Prelim Attended • 5 Prelim No-Show • 10 WELLNESS
