YOUR GUIDE TO WHAT’S HAPPENING ON THE CLUB’S DOORSTEP

HOTELS.COM PROVIDES UNIQUE
OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE

Hotels.com, Official Accommodation Partner of Tottenham
Hotspur, hosted local students at their London offices recently
as part of Public Health England’s Project SEARCH initiative,
supported by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.

Volunteers from Hotels.com and Expedia Group
led an employment workshop for six participants from
the programme as part of the company’s wider Day of
Caring campaign, which sees employees make meaningful
contributions to their local communities.

Project SEARCH gives young adults with learning disabilities
employment opportunities by offering them a full academic year
of work placements. As part of their day in Hotels.com’s offices,
the students were given tips and advice around looking for
and applying for jobs, as well as one-on-one interview training.

Tim McLoughlin, Brand Partnerships Lead at Hotels.com,
said: “Partnering with our local north London community is
important to us. The opportunity to work with the Tottenham
Hotspur Foundation to support Project SEARCH has been
rewarding for our team and the students.”

The average employment rate for individuals aged 18–24
with a learning disability in the UK is just seven per cent. That
figure increases to 65 per cent for those that have been through
Project SEARCH programmes.

Project SEARCH at Public Health England is delivered in
partnership with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Barnet
and Southgate College and Barnet Council.

Helsinki earlier this month confirmed their
place at UEFA Euro 2020 and an historic first six of their 10 fixtures, as they finished second in
qualification for a major tournament for the Group J. Two of their defeats came at the hands
Nordic nation. A brace from Norwich City striker of runaway group winners Italy, who boasted a
Teemu Pukki and a further strike from Jasse 100% record in qualifying.

KEY PLAYER

Teemu Pukki scored 10 goals during the
qualification campaign, bringing his tally to 25
strikes in 80 international appearances for Finland
to date. The 29-year-old’s efforts included braces
in home victories over Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Armenia and Liechtenstein.

Domestically, the former KTP, Sevilla, HJK,
Schalke 04 and Celtic forward has been in a rich
vein of form since joining Norwich City from
Brondby on a free transfer in 2018. He netted 29
times in 43 league matches as the Canaries won
the EFL Championship title last season while
he followed that up with six goals in his first 12
Premier League matches this campaign.

Q&A 82
Continuing our new Q&A feature for this season – using the year of
the Club’s formation as inspiration – as we ask our players to choose
18 lifestyle questions from a selection of 82. Today, our young
midfielder Oliver Skipp takes the hotseat…

1 You have a day off – what is your perfect in 2010. I was there that day. What a goal that

day?

Oliver: “I’d start with a bit of a lay in, then see some
friends, spend time with them and probably do something
active, like play golf. Something like that!”

2 What is the most used WhatsApp group on
your phone?

Oliver: “I’d say family.”
3 Have you ever had a job outside football?

Oliver: “No, I’m very fortunate in that respect, I’ve been
in the Academy since the age of six.”

4 What is the best goal ever scored?

Oliver: “That’s a tough one. I want it to be a Spurs goal
and I’ll go for Danny Rose’s volley against Arsenal

by the team. It’s hanging up in my bedroom.” Oliver: “No, but when I was younger, I used to collect Match
Attax. I’ve got books of them from 2005, 2006 and 2007.
For three or four years, I collected every card.  I had to
have every single player. It must have been a nightmare
for my parents.”

13 What is your favourite cheese?

Oliver: “I’ve not really got one, so I’ll go for mozzarella.”

14 Did you ever appear in a school play?

Oliver: “Yes, I was a shepherd in the nativity play at my
primary school.”

15 What was the last film you watched?

Oliver: “I don’t go to the cinema that often, the last film I
watched was ‘22 July’, about the terrorist attack in Norway
in 2011 and the aftermath of that attack.”

6 Would you rather be a pop star or a P a g eQ &TAi t l e
footballer?

Oliver: “Footballer – silly question!”

7 What is your position on facial hair?

Oliver: “It depends – I think it suits some people, but
not others. I don’t like it myself. It would make me look
even older!”

8 Do you still have your first medal?

Oliver: “Yes, I do. It’s from an early tournament while playing
Sunday football for Bengeo Tigers in Hertfordshire.”

9 Have you ever seen a ghost? 16 What word do you think you use the most?

Oliver: “No, and I’m not a believer in ghosts.” Oliver: “I’ve honestly no idea. That’s not the answer, by
the way! I don’t know.”
10 In which TV show would you like a walk-
on part? 17 Are you still in touch with your school
friends?
Oliver: “I’d go for the (Netflix) series ‘Shooter’, perhaps
as the sniper. That would be pretty cool.” Oliver: “Yes, all the time. I hope they are proud, but they
keep me down to earth. If I mis-control the ball in any

I thought I’d give it a go, but I look back at photos now
