Outdoor learning in our Forest School provides
children the opportunity to develop new interests,
talents and skills.

the mental well-being of our school community.

Extra-curricular

Our impressive facilities include extensive school
grounds, which afford opportunities for outdoor learning
and a breadth of extra-curricular opportunities including:
creative arts, sports, homework club and gardening, to
name only a small selection. Extra-curricular provision,
trips and themed school weeks help develop in our
children a life-long love of learning.

We are fortunate to have our Forest School, the allotment
and the wildlife garden, which enable children to learn in
different environments.

Preparing children for the modern world is critical and in
this pupils access our computer suite during weekly IT
lessons, working with desktops, Chromebooks and iPads
to enhance their learning.

Our Nursery

13 We are fortunate to be able to offer families nursery provision for our
youngest children.

Children in the Nursery follow the EYFS curriculum, with opportunities to
develop the early building blocks for life long learning.

Safeguarding

Springfield Primary School is committed
to safeguarding and promoting the
welfare of children. All staff, parents and
visitors are expected to share in this
commitment.

Admissions

Surrey County Council manage admissions for pupils in Reception to
Years 6. The window for applying for a Reception place is from
October to January; a year in advance of a child starting in September.

Parents can make an in-year application for a school transfer into any
year group. Applications are made online via the Surrey admissions
portal:

www.surreycc.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/schools/admissions.
