Shortly after the 2nd Semi, The Finalists come into SCJS Studios to record one of their songs for a compilation album.
Most, but not all, of this season’s Finalists had already been in studio before, recording original material with Anthony.
It’s important for any budding artist to know what it’s actually like in studio; both what to expect and what’s expected
of them.

They also recorded some video which will be used as their intro at the Final. Again, learning to be comfortable in
front of a camera, ie. learning to ignore it, is also really important for any artist. Any serious entertainer is expected to
know how to do an interview, whether it be for TV, radio, print or digital media.

Edber Vallejo Heredia, head of our video team, filmed each Finalist and will edit the 10 intros.

The Season 15 Virtual Grand Finale May 28/21

Season 15 began with our first virtual auditions in September 2020 and ended with the Grand Finale on May 28, 2021.
That means we had an entire season without a live audience and it was our second finale under strict COVID restric-
tions. Still, we made the best of it!

As we had done throughout the season, the finalists performed live on stage in the studio in front of 3 cameras,
instead of a live audience. Their friends and family had to watch the live stream at home. With a lockdown keeping
restaurants and bars closed, some of them even had to watch in their vehicles so they would be close enough to the
building when the time came to pick up their loved ones! But, because this is how it had been done all season, every-
one was well prepared.

The green room, which had been nothing more than a holding area during the other rounds, was dressed up for the
occasion in formal black and sequins. We also included a changing room for those Finalists who chose to change out-
fits for their second songs.
