Nampat c ommunity was originally located at Ban Fai and governed by Phaya Pat. Later it has moved to Ban Saen Tor, the current l ocation of Nam Pat District where a river flows through it. Visitors to Nampad say that this place is livable: in addition to the most delicious garlic in the world, there are many natural attractions such as Ton Sak Yai National Park, Phu Soi Dao National P ark, GI branded Huai Munpineapple, a nd Phaya Pat, the sacred and revered spirit of the community. N am Pat District is 72 km from the province city. It has an area of 17,957.7 km2 , divided into 7 subdistricts, 58 villages. 103 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ อนุสาวรีย์เจ้าพ่อพญาปาด ตั้งอยู่หน้าที่ว่าการอ�ำเภอน�้ำปาด ตรงข้าม ที่ท�ำการไปรษณีย์ พญาปาดเป็นผู้สร้างบ้าน แปงเมืองน�้ำปาด ท่านเป็นคนลาว อาศัยอยู่ที่ นครเวียงจันทน์ ต่อมาพื้นที่ท�ำกินฝืดเคือง ท่านจึง อพยพประชาชนไปหาที่ท�ำกินใหม่ และได้เข้ามา ปักหลักตั้งถิ่นฐานที่ริมฝั่งแม่น�้ำบ้านสองคอน ท่านได้สร้างเมืองขึ้นใหม่ที่ต�ำบลบ้านฝาย ซึ่งอยู่ ริมแม่น�้ำต่อมาได้ชื่อว่าแม่น�้ำปาดตามชื่อของท่าน ในเดือนมีนาคมของทุกปี มีการจัดงาน บวงสรวงเจ้าพ่อพญาปาด เทศกาลหอม-กระเทียม และของดีอ�ำเภอน�้ำปาด ที่ถนนหน้าที่ว่าการ อ�ำเภอน�้ำปาด แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่ไม่ควรพลาด Attractions Phaya Pat Monument, Phaya Pat Monument is locates in front of the District Office, opposite Nam Pat Post Office. Phaya Pat was the founder of Nam Pat. He formerly was a Lao, living in Vientiane. Later, the area became indigent. Phaya Pad evacuated his people to a new place settling in Ban Songkon, Ban Fai Subdistrict, on the bank of the river which later was named after him as Pat River. In March of every year, there is a worshiping ceremonyfor Phaya Pat Spirit. Onion and Garlic Festival along with other district goods will be displayed along the road in front of District Office. If visiting the market on Monday morning before 11.00 am, the bustle of the morning market along two sides of the road can be experienced. One side is a market of fresh food, dry food, and other local products brought by the localse.g. local type of mushroom, Huai Mun pineapple, crickets, onion, garlic, steamed fish with curry paste, bamboo shoots, etc. The other is the Public Market selling OTOP products of the district such as Nam Pat pickled garlic by garlic processing group and pickled ginger (eat with sausage). 107 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ปัจจุบันนี้มีโพรงด้านใน จึงรอดพ้นจากการท�ำไม้ อุทยานฯ ได้ท�ำรั้วล้อมรอบต้นสักทั้ง 4 ด้าน เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้คนลงไปเหยียบราก และเหลือไว้ เป็นอนุสรณ์ให้อนุชนรุ่นหลังได้มีโอกาสชมและ ศึกษาต้นสักใหญ่ ความสูงล่าสุดที่วัดโดยอากาศยาน ไร้คนขับ (Drone) คือ 40.5 เมตร วัดเมื่อเดือน สิงหาคม 2561 นอกจากนี้ ยังมีศาลาที่ประทับของ สมเด็จพระราชินีในรัชกาลที่ 9 เสด็จเป็นการ ส่วนพระองค์ เพื่อดูแลต้นสักใหญ่ ดังพระราชด�ำรัส ที่ว่า “พระเจ้าอยู่หัวเป็นน�้ำ ฉันจะเป็นป่า ป่าที่ถวายความจงรักภักดีต่อน�้ำ พระเจ้าอยู่หัว สร้างอ่างเก็บน�้ำ ฉันก็จะสร้างป่า...” บ้านห้วยมุ่น เส้นทางสู่บ้านห้วยมุ่น ระหว่างทางนักท่องเที่ยว จะพบทัศนียภาพงดงาม มีนาขั้นบันได ไร่สับปะรด ตามเนินเขา ปกคลุมด้วยม่านหมอกบางๆ มีจุดแวะชมวิวและถ่ายภาพที่บ้านนาผักฮาด แนวเส้นทางมีภูเขาสลับซับซ้อน มีสับปะรด ปลูกบนเขา 2 ข้างทาง เมื่อหมดฤดูสับปะรด ชาวบ้านจะปลูกข้าวโพดแทน เมื่อเข้ามาที่ บ้านห้วยมุ่นจะพบ ล้ง หรือ แหล่งขายสับปะรด ตามบ้านต่างๆ สับปะรดห้วยมุ่นจะหวานและ หอมติดลิ้น โดยเฉพาะช่วงเดือนพฤษภาคม นอกจากนี้ ชาวบ้านห้วยมุ่นยังอัธยาศัยดี ใช้ชีวิตกันอย่างเรียบง่าย tree has a cavity inside that allowed it to be spared. The park made a fence around Mahesak to prevent people from step on its roots to keep it for younger generations to observe and study a large teak. She stated “The King [Rama IX] is water, I will be a forest, dedicated to water. His Majesty built a reservoir. I will build a forest ... ” Ban Huai Mun Ban Huai Mun is a local attraction where tourists will find beautiful scenery, step ladder Pineapple hill farm covered with a thin mist, a viewpoint to take pictures at Ban Na Pak Had, complex mountain route. Pineapple is grown on two sides of the road until out of season; it will be replaced by corn instead. Small camber for selling pineapple can be spotted along the road. Pineapple here is exceptional. It is sweet and its fragrant sticks to tongue especially during May. In addition, the villagers are also very nice living in simple life. The lower part of the unit is a waterfall model and a tent camping yard. On the way to Khlong Tron waterfall, tourists will be able to observe the dwellings of the natives and nature on two sides. 109 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ภูเมี่ ยง ตั้งอยู่ที่อุทยานแห่งชาติต้นสักใหญ่ หมู่ 3 ต�ำบลน�้ำไคร้ เป็นเทือกเขาสูงอยู่ทางทิศตะวันออก มีความสูงประมาณ 1,656 เมตร จากระดับน�้ำทะเล ปานกลาง เป็นยอดดอยที่สวยและคงความเป็น ธรรมชาติมากที่สุด บนยอดดอยเป็นทุ่งหญ้าสามารถมองเห็น ทัศนียภาพและทะเลหมอก มีดอกลิลลี่บาน ช่วงเดือนกรกฎาคม-สิงหาคม คนทั่วไปที่ต้องการ พิชิตยอดดอยภูเมี่ยงจะใช้เวลาเดิน 1 วัน โดยต้องแวะพักระหว่างทางในจุดที่เจ้าหน้าที่ จัดไว้เพื่อกางเต็นท์รับประทานอาหาร เนื่องจาก ยอดภูเมี่ยงมีลมแรงและอันตราย ไม่สามารถ พักได้ นักท่องเที่ยวที่สนใจสามารถติดต่อ ที่ท�ำการอุทยานฯ เพื่อขอเจ้าหน้าที่น�ำทาง ยอดดอยภูเมี่ยงเปิดให้เข้าชมเดือนกรกฎาคมมกราคมเท่านั้น Phu Miang Phu Miang is located at Ton Sak Yai National Park, Moo 3, Nam Krai Sub-district. Phu Miang is a high mountain ridge in the east. It is approximately 1,656 m above sea level. The mountain is beautiful and well-preserved. Top of the hill is a meadow where the scenery and the mist can be observed. There are lilies in July-August. People who want to conquer Phu Miang mountain top will take a day’s walk and stopping by the staff-arranged tent to have food because the peak is too windy and dangerous for staying. Apart from the adventurous 300 bends along the Nam Pat-Huai Mun-Phu Soi Dao route, visitors will experience the beautiful scenery, the fertile forest with liana and green vegetation. Phu Soi Dao is most beautiful in the rainy season when the murdannia flowers bloom. The flower is also dubbed midday dew. Phu Soi Dao also has a pine yard, which is a source of four headwaters, and a place for tent camping. Pine forests and a variety of natural plant species can be seen in different altitude. 111 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ก่อนขึ้นภูสอยดาวเจ้าหน้าที่จะมีแบบฟอร์ม ลงทะเบียนให้นักท่องเที่ยวกรอก และมี ค�ำแนะน�ำต่างๆ รวมถึงมีโครงการขยะคืนถิ่น ให้นักท่องเที่ยวจ่ายเงินค่ามัดจ�ำขยะต่อกลุ่ม และเมื่อกลับลงมานักท่องเที่ยวจะต้องน�ำขยะ ใส่ถุงด�ำลงมาด้วยจึงจะได้เงินค่ามัดจ�ำคืน และ สามารถน�ำไปแลกของที่ระลึก เช่น เสื้อ กระเป๋า ด้านบนภูสอยดาวมีอากาศเบาบาง ไม่เหมาะกับผู้สูงอายุและผู้ที่มีโรคประจ�ำตัว คนทั่วไปใช้เวลาเดินประมาณ 6 ชั่วโมง เป็นทางขึ้นธรรมชาติ ไม่มีบันได โดยจะมี เจ้าหน้าที่ดูแลอย่างปลอดภัยเหมือนคนในครอบครัว เปิดให้ลงทะเบียนเวลา 08.00 น.-14.00 น. ที่ด้านล่างมีน�้ำตกภูสอยดาว เป็นน�้ำตก 5 ชั้น มีต้นน�้ำมาจากลานสน น�้ำใสสะอาด มีจุดให้ นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถลงเล่นได้ ภูสอยดาวปิดรับ นักท่องเที่ยว 15 มกราคมของทุกปี เพื่อให้ ธรรมชาติฟื้นตัว Prior to hiking Phu Soi Dao, tourists must fill a form with guidance and recommendations. The rubbish project lets tourists pay a rubbish deposit as a group. When coming back down, tourists will have to take their rubbish with them in abag provided to get the deposit back. It can be redeemed for souvenirs such as bags and clothes. Phu Soi Dao has thin air which is not suitable for the elderly and those with underlying diseases. The average person takes about 6 hours to walk up the mountain. There is no stair, only natural path with Phu Soi Dao staff guides who are as friendly as family members. Registration opens from 8 am-2 pm. At the ground of Phu Soi Dao, there is a 5-storey waterfall with clear water from the pine yard, a spot for tourists to play. Not only the wide rice fields, the corn fields, and fresh air are appealing, it also displays traditional way of life that people in the district still preserve, both weaving and agriculture. There are also sacred places to worship for life prosperity. Getting to Fak Tha District takes about half an hour from the city of Uttaradit via highway 1047 for 113 km distance. Fak Tha District is formerly a Sub-district within Nam Pat District. On July 20th, 1958, the Royal Decree has announced Fak Tha as a district with the area of 636.669 km2 divided into 4 Sub-districts, 31 villages. 115 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่ไม่ควรพลาด Attractions ปู่ ตาพญาปาด ตั้งอยู่หมู่ 3 ต�ำบลสองคอน เมื่อมาถึงจุดหมาย จะพบพระรูปพญาปาดประทับเด่นเป็นสง่าอยู่ที่ ด้านหน้า ด้านในเป็นศาล เรียกว่าศาลปู่ตา ภายในศาลมีรูปปั้นช้าง ม้า อาวุธท�ำด้วยไม้ เช่น มีด ดาบ พญาปาดเดิมเป็นคนลาว ได้ชักชวนพลเมือง อพยพมาหาที่ท�ำกินใหม่ เพราะการท�ำมา หากินที่เวียงจันทน์เกิดความฝืดเคือง อัตคัด ขัดสนขึ้น ท่านได้มาตั้งถิ่นฐานครั้งแรกที่ บ้านสองคอน อ�ำเภอฟากท่าในปัจจุบัน พญาปาด มีวิธีการปกครองเฉียบขาด ท�ำให้บ้านเมืองมีแต่ ความสงบสุขร่มเย็น จึงเป็นวีรบุรุษในใจของ ประชาชนทั่วไป และยังเป็นสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่คน ในชุมชนให้ความเคารพนับถือสักการะสืบต่อกันมา เมื่อเดินทางออกจากหมู่บ้าน ถ้าผ่านศาลปู่ตา ทุกคนจะยกมือไหว้ แล้วอธิษฐานบอกกล่าว ดังๆ ว่า “ปู่ตาเอย ปกปักรักษาคุ้มครองลูกหลานนะ” เชื่อว่าท่านจะช่วยลูกหลานที่สอบเข้าเรียนต่อ หรือเข้ารับราชการให้ได้สมปรารถนา ทุกวันที่ 16 เมษายนของทุกปี จะมี ประเพณีสรงน�้ำปู่ตา เพื่อแสดงความกตัญญูและ เป็นสิริมงคลแก่ชาวบ้าน Pu Ta Phaya Pat Pu Ta Phaya Pat is at Moo 3, Songkon Sub-district. When reaching the destination, you will find a prominent statue of Phaya Pad in front of Pu Ta (referring to Phaya Pat) Shrine. Inside the shrine are statues of horses and elephants, wooden weaponry such as a sword and knife. Phaya Pat was originally a Lao. He along with his citizens evacuated a conflict from Luang Prabang during late Ayutthaya period to first settled at Ban Songkon. Phaya Pat had a clean-cut way of governing which promoted peace in the area, thus became a hero figure and sacred to the people in the community. When leaving the village, villagers passing the shrine will raise their hands to pay respect to Pu Ta and pray for Pu Ta spirit to protect them, his descendants. It is believed that the spirit can aid children to pass entrance exams into schools or government positions. Khok Phra That is a rectangular brick base with high-pitchedtop holding buddha’s relics inside. Its location is on the hill (Khok) in Ban Wang Kwan area. The villagers call it Khok That. Inside the relics contain glass, gold, silver, rings and Buddha statues. A 6-meter-lap width Buddha statue in the posture of meditation, Luang Phor Tanjai, is enshrined on the base. Open daily including public holidays, free of charge. You can visit the sacred site at Khok Phra That using Fak Tha-Ban Khok route. At milestone number 362, after passing Fak Tha fresh market, turn right onto Ban Phondu Road for about 1 km, Khok Pra That is on your left. Fak Tha-Ban Khok bus is an alternative option, taking off from Uttaradit clock tower to Fak Tha costing 80 baht per person, or a Fak ThaBan Khok minibus at bus station from night market costs 60 baht per person. 117 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ วัดมหาธาตุ เป็นวัดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในอ�ำเภอฟากท่า ตั้งอยู่ที่ บ้านใหม่พัฒนา ต�ำบลบ้านเสี้ยว มีพระพุทธรูป ที่ชาวบ้านนับถืออายุหลายร้อยปี ชื่อว่า หลวงพ่อเลื่อม แปลว่าสะอาดสะอ้าน สว่าง สวยงาม แกะสลักจากไม้ท่อนเดียว วัดมหาธาตุ และเจดีย์มหาธาตุสร้างคู่กันมาเป็นเวลาหลายร้อยปี ถือว่าเป็นวัดที่เก่าแก่เป็นที่สักการะของชุมชน และองค์พระธาตุเจดีย์ก็เป็นของคู่กันมาตลอด พระธาตุโคกอุ่มบง ห่างจากที่ว่าการอ�ำเภอ 12.8 กิโลเมตร ผ่านถนน 1047 ตั้งอยู่หมู่ 2 ต�ำบลบ้านเสี้ยว อ�ำเภอฟากท่า จังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ บริเวณข้างทาง จะมีป้ายแสดงแหล่งท่องเที่ยวสีฟ้า บอกไว้ อย่างชัดเจน เมื่อเดินทางไปถึงตีนเขาที่พระธาตุ ตั้งอยู่ จะต้องเดินเท้าขึ้นไปสักการะพระธาตุ อีก 2 กิโลเมตร (ควรติดต่อชาวบ้านน�ำทาง) ถึงจุดที่ตั้งพระธาตุข้างบนยอดเขาจะมองเห็น หมู่บ้านที่อยู่ด้านล่างและเส้นทางที่จะไปยัง อ�ำเภอบ้านโคก และ สปป. ลาว พระธาตุ โคกอุ่มบง เป็นเจดีย์เก่าไม่ทราบว่ามีการก่อสร้าง มาแต่สมัยใด สร้างจากอิฐโบราณและได้พังทลาย ลงมา ซึ่งชาวบ้านได้ช่วยกันสร้างศาลเพียงตา ไว้ด้านข้าง หลังวันสงกรานต์จะมีชาวบ้าน ขึ้นมาสักการะขอพรจากพระธาตุเป็นประจ�ำ ทุกปี Wat Mahathat Wat Mahathat is the largest temple in Fak Tha, located at Ban Mai Pattana, Ban Siao Sub-district. There is more than a hundred years old Buddha statue called Luang Phor Luem meaning clean, bright, and beautiful. The Buddha was carved from a single piece of wood. Wat Mahathat and Wat Mahathat Pagoda both have been built for hundreds of years as act as revered figures to the community. Phra That Kok Umbong Phra That Kok Umbong is located at Moo 2 of Ban Siao in Fak Tha District, around 12.8 kilometers from the district office along Highway 1047. There is a blue sign clearly showing the way to Phra That. Visitors have to walk around 2 kilometers up to the mountain and it is suggested contacting a local guide to lead the way. At the top, the visitors can admire the view of lower villages and road to Ban Kok District and Laos PDR. Phra That Kok Umbong is an ancient brick chedi with no evidence for the date of building. After it collapsed, local people built a spirit house on its side. Tourists will learn the way of life of locals and taste a variety of local dishes made of crab, cricket, mushrooms, caterpillar chilli paste, freshwater algae and other local curries. There is a bridge the villagers built together to make a check-in point at Ban Na Rai Diao marketing demonstration center. You can visit and buy souvenirs at Ban Na Rai Diao weaving group. There is a copyrighted fabric pattern unique to this very village called Hoi Lan Pee (Million years old shellfish). The village has tour vehicles to bring tourist to visit a million years old shell cemetery, and Huai Klang reservoir. Visitorswho stay at Ban Na Rai Diao will experience a traditional welcome ceremony, different type of local dances, and performances showing local way of life. Phor Khun Boon Home Phor Khun Boon Home was a soldier with fierce personality. His weapon was a gun and a sword. He usually wore three-parted pants. 119 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ สร้างเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2539 มีที่มาจากการที่ชาวลาว เวลาอพยพย้ายถิ่นฐานจะแบกเสาหลักเมือง ไปด้วยทุกที่ พ่อขุนบุญโฮมเป็นบรรพบุรุษมาจาก เมืองแก่นท้าว ประเทศลาว จึงน�ำเสาหลักเมือง มาด้วย ครั้งแรกมาปักหลักที่บ้านลุ่ม บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์มีซุ้มที่ลูกหลานจากฝั่งลาว มาสร้างไว้หลายซุ้ม ทุกปีจะมีการเลี้ยงผีปู่ตา ที่บริเวณศาล น�ำหมู ควาย ไก่เป็นๆ มาท�ำพิธี โดยหมอง่อน (หมอผี) เป็นตัวแทนปู่ตา จะใช้กิ่งไม้ มาแตะที่ตัวสัตว์จากนั้นจึงน�ำมาต้ม นึ่ง หรือย่าง เพื่อถวายปู่ตา เพื่อขอบคุณที่ท่านดูแลลูกหลาน ทั้งปี และมีความเชื่อว่าหากแบ่งเศษเทียน ในพิธีติดรถกลับบ้านมาด้วย จะช่วยคุ้มครอง ให้แคล้วคลาดปลอดภัย ให้โชคลาภ ปกปักรักษา ในช่วงวันสงกรานต์มีพิธีสรงน�้ำปู่ตา ในพิธีมีการ แสดงร�ำแม่นางด้งเพื่อขอฝน วัดโพนดู่ วัดโพนดู่สร้างขึ้นเมื่อประมาณ พ.ศ. 2376 มีนามตามชื่อของหมู่บ้าน แต่เดิมเรียกว่า บ้านพวน ชาวพื้นบ้านเดิมเป็นพวนอยู่มาก่อน ต่อมาชาวไทยตามแถบชายแดนไทยลาว อพยพมาตั้งถิ่นฐานและเรียกหมู่บ้านตนเอง ว่าบ้านโพนประดู่ ประกอบกับสถานที่ from Gantao, Laos, where Phor Khun Boon Home migrated from, as a Lao tradition to carry city pillar with them everywhere they migrate. Near the monument, there are many arches made by Lao descendants. Every year there will be a feast arranged for Pu Ta (referring to Phor Khun Boon Home). Villagers gather pigs, buffalo, and chicken for the ceremony. A shaman will perform ritual as Pu Ta, using a tree branch to touch the animals, then boil, steam or roast them to offer to Pu Ta to thank him for taking care of his descendants. It is believed that taking the candle fragments used in the ceremony home will help protecting and creating fortune for the takers. During Songkran festival, villagers pour water to Pu Ta to worship. Mae Nang Dong Dance is performed to call for rain. Wat Pohndoo Wat Pohndoo was built around 1833 named after the village name. The village was originally called Ban Phuan dwelled by Phuan people. The location of the village is high (pohn) and there were many Burma Padauk trees (Pradu). Later on, the word ‘Pra’ was omitted leaving it as Pohndoo. Inside the temple is a Buddha statue carved out of Padauk wood which is the identity of the temple and the village. It imitates Luang Phor Petch’s image, Uttaradit province’s unique style. The lap width of the statue is 63 inches. There is Pohndoo weaving group who inherited their weaving tradition from their ancestors. The outstanding patterns are Kaopankon pattern and ancient Monkid pattern. Ban Gok Tong Weaving Center Ban Gok Tong Weaving Center is a local wisdom learning center located at Moo 3, Fak Tha Sub-district. It is a community of local wisdom conservation and sustaining selling five-star OTOP products such as woven cloths, woven handbags, loincloths, sarong, and shawl. There is a re-imagined silk pattern called In-Oi named after a talisman to give peaceful effect. Villagers plant their own mulberry to raise silkworms by themselves. Colors used are also natural. Ban Mai Pattana Weaving Group started weaving Mohom fabric. Nowadays, the group weaves a variety of fabrics, cloth, loincloth, traditional-style skirts, sarong, and bags. The community strengthens unity by forming such group and other groups like a petanque club, elderly club, or a daily exercise. Nanum Weir Nanum Weir is built to store water from Nam Pat river. The surrounding area can be used as a recreational space.There are also many shrines, for Grandpa Grandma Hadkiao, Ganesha, Luang Phor Tanjai, and The Weir’s Pu Ta. There are Tree Marigold field called Thung Bua Ban. They bloom at the end of October every year. Pha Wang Daeng Pha Wang Daeng, a natural attraction at Moo 2, Ban Nanum, is a 90-degree laterite cliff formed by rain erosion. Giant Afzelia Tree or Makhamong Giant Afzelia Tree or Makhamong, is a 1,500 years old tree located in Nam Pat national conserved forest, Ban Huay Kan Luang, Moo 5, Fak Tha district, In 2009, the circumstance size of the tree was 11 meters. Lai Huea Fai/Jam Kao Sim Tradition Lai Huea Fai/Jam Kao Sim is a local traditional festival held at the end of Buddhist Lent day, on a full moon or after the full moon day of October. Huea Fai is a local dialect meaning fired boat. This festival is to worship the Lord Buddha’s footprint near Narmada River to apologize rivers for putting sewages and to burn sorrow with the stream. On the Buddhist Lent day, villagers will gather at the shore, singing and dancing. They will each bring one handful of glutinous rice, and a wooden trunk. They put all wooden trunks together in the boat and burn them. The pile is called Gong Ha. The deacon will lead the people to pray to Goddess Ganges. During the ceremony, villagers put rice on their bodies to take away disease and bad luck, and then throw the rice into the burning boat and send the boat floating away with the stream to take bad luck away with it. Boat Racing Tradition Boat racing tradition is a folk game that is inherited from the old days. On Buddhist Lent Day, the community come together to organize the event. The best rowers are selected to compete in the race. Each village must have a boat to participate. The tradition is held to create a unity among people in the community, to preserve the culture, to teach inherited tradition to children, as well as to promote love for the homeland. As the population grows, some people left to set up a new village called Ban Bang. Some built houses near Ban Khok Nuea Temple. The origin of Ban Khok name is from the village location which there is a low hill called Khok. There are many mountains surrounding Ban Khok, a border district in northern part of Uttaradit, about 115 km to Laos PDR. It has an area of 1,055.119 km2 . The area consists of high plateau and mountains. A mountain ridge marks Thailand-Laos border. About 1/5 of the total area are plains. Its north is adjacent to Na Noi District, Nan Province and Laos. Ban Khok district is divided into 4 Sub-districts, 31 villages: Chet Ton Muang Sub-district (7 villages), Ban Khok Sub-district (7 villages), Na Kham Sub-district (7 villages), and Bo Bia Sub-district (10 villages). Main occupations are agriculture, livestock, mercenaries, and trading. Major agricultural products are sweet tamarind, corn, rice, and pineapple. Part time occupations are weaving and handicrafts. Most people are Buddhist (99.8%). Natural resources and environment are the highlights of Ban Khok. Most of the forests are conserved forests with limited buildings. On an environmental aspect, Ban Khok is very clean because there is no factory, and there is good rubbish management by burying in landfill in a hygienic manner. Temperature can reach as high as 39-41°C in summer due to the high mountainous terrain and high altitude. In winter, the minimum average temperature is 6-12°C which gives Ban Khok its slogan “not cold, not far, not Ban Khok”. Ban Khok is 165 km from the city of Uttaradit. To get to Ban Khok by personal vehicle, take Highway 1047 through Thong Saen Khan District, Nam Pat District, Fak Tha District to Muang Chet Ton, then take Highway 1268 for another 11.7 km to Ban Khok district office. There is an Uttaradit - Ban Khok bus, which runs 6 times a day from 6 am-2.30 pm (Bus station is in front of Uttaradit old train station). Two hours journey with beautiful views will pass very fast and the super views are guaranteed. 128 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมถือเป็น จุดเด่นของอ�ำเภอบ้านโคก เพราะมีป่าไม้อุดมสมบูรณ์ อยู่หนาแน่น พื้นที่ป่าส่วนใหญ่เป็นป่าสงวน จึงไม่ค่อยมีการปลูกสร้างที่อยู่อาศัยในบริเวณนั้น ในด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ปัจจุบันบ้านโคกจัดว่าเป็น อ�ำเภอที่มีสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ดี เพราะไม่มีโรงงาน อุตสาหกรรม มีการก�ำจัดขยะมูลฝอยด้วยการ ฝังกลบอย่างถูกสุขลักษณะ แต่เนื่องจาก ภูมิประเทศส่วนใหญ่เป็นภูเขาและที่สูง จึงท�ำให้ ในฤดูร้อนมีอุณหภูมิสูงสุดเฉลี่ย 39-41 องศา เซลเซียสและในช่วงฤดูหนาวอากาศหนาวจัด อุณหภูมิต�่ำสุดเฉลี่ย 6-12 องศาเซลเซียส อ�ำเภอบ้านโคกจึงมีสโลแกนว่า “ไม่หนาว ไม่ไกล ไม่ใช่บ้านโคก” การเดินทางไปอ�ำเภอบ้านโคก มีระยะทาง 165 กิโลเมตร จากตัวเมืองอุตรดิตถ์ โดยใช้ ทางหลวงหมายเลข 1047 ผ่านอ�ำเภอทองแสนขัน อ�ำเภอน�้ำปาดอำ� เภอฟากท่าจนถึงต�ำบลม่วงเจ็ดต้น แล้ววิ่งต่อบนทางหลวงหมายเลข 1268 อีก 11.7 กิโลเมตร ก็ถึงที่ว่าการอ�ำเภอบ้านโคก หรือใช้ รถโดยสารประจ�ำทางสายอุตรดิตถ์-บ้านโคก ที่วิ่ง 6 เที่ยวต่อวัน ตั้งแต่เวลา 06.00 น.-14.30 น. 129 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ แหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่ไม่ควรพลาด Attractions จุดผ่านแดนถาวรภูดู่ หรือด่านภูดู่ เป็นด่านพรมแดนไทย-ลาว โดยฝั่งประเทศไทย ตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านภูดู่ หมู่ 2 ต�ำบลม่วงเจ็ดต้น ห่างจาก แยกทางหลวงสายบ้านม่วงเจ็ดต้นบ้านห้วยมุ่น 6 กิโลเมตร เมื่อข้ามเขตไปในประเทศลาว จะเป็นด่านสากล “พูดู่” หรือ “ด่านผาแก้ว” (ชื่อเดิม) แห่งบ้านผาแก้วเมืองปากลาย แขวง ไชยะบุรี ดังนั้นด่านภูดู่จึงเป็นจุดเชื่อมโยงไปยัง หลวงพระบางที่สั้นที่สุด เพราะเมื่อข้ามแดน สู่ด่านผาแก้ว สปป. ลาว แล้วสามารถเดินทาง ไปสู่นครเวียงจันทน์อีก 230 กิโลเมตร หรือสามารถ เดินทางไปหลวงพระบางด้วยระยะทาง 480 กิโลเมตร โดยวิ่งผ่าน “สะพานปากลาย” ที่เปิดให้บริการเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2560 ด่านภูดู่ เป็นจุดผ่อนปรนค้าขายชายแดน ไทย-ลาว ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นสินค้าอุปโภค บริโภค เช่น อาหารสด อาหารแห้ง บุหรี่ สุรา เสื้อผ้า รองเท้า เมล็ดพันธุ์ข้าวโพด ปุ๋ย อุปกรณ์ ในการท�ำการเกษตร ฯลฯ และเปิดให้ค้าขาย Phu Doo International point of Entry Phu Doo International point of Entry is a tourist site at Thai-Lao border. Phu Doo checkpoint is located at Ban Phu Doo, Moo 2, Muang Chet Ton Sub-district, 6 km away from Ban Muang Chet Ton-Ban Huai Mun highway intersection. Crossing the border to Laos is the international “Phu Doo” or “Pha Kaew” (old name) checkpoint of Paklay, Xaignabouli. Phu Doo checkpoint is the shortest link to Luang Prabang. However, it is considered a rather busier than other places. About 200-300 people, both Thai and Lao, come to the market every Sunday. Phu Lae Lao Phu Lae Lao is a new tourist site just opened at the end of 2017. It is a viewpoint showing connecting ThaiLao areas. It is located in Mae Charim Wildlife Sanctuary, under The Conservation Area Management 11, National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department. It is the junction between Ban Huai Pai Moo 2 Bo Bia Sub-district, Ban Khok District, Uttaradit Province and Ban Sali, Nammuab Sub-district, Wiang Sa District, Nan Province. It was originally a forest and farm of people lived in this area. At present, it is Huai Pa Kham extraction checkpoint (temporary) checking people who want to pass on this route. It is one of the places many people come to check in, especially in the winter. It is popular for overnight tent camping to get exposed to nature and cold weather, watching beautiful scenery amidst the misty mountains at no cost. There are staffs for security purpose. There are 2 free toilet rooms available. There are no tents, food, drinks or equipment provided or sold. Tourists must bring by themselves. It can accommodate up to 20 people only. Getting to Phu Lae Lao from Ban Khok district office, one can take highway 1268 about 11.7 km and turn right along highway 1241 for another 35.3 km The viewpoint Phu La Lao is on the left. Grandpa Muakkham Shrine Grandpa Muakkham Shrine is on Nasan road 300 m away from Ban Khok district office. Grandpa Muakkham was expected to be the governor of Bhu Ngern Bhu Kha during the reign of King Chulalongkorn. The King sent his army to defeat the Ho in the city of Sao (Luang Prabang) and has taken a lot of people including Bhu Ngern Bhu Kha governor. 133 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ที่เหมาะสม แม่ทัพจึงสั่งให้เจ้าเมืองภูเงินภูค�ำ สร้างค่ายคูประตูหอรบที่ภูเวียง ซึ่งปัจจุบันเป็น ที่ตั้งที่ว่าการอ�ำเภอบ้านโคก และอีกค่ายหนึ่ง อยู่ที่ภูโพง ต่อมาเจ้าเมืองภูเงินภูค�ำสิ้นชีวิตลง ชาวบ้านเห็นว่าเป็นบุคคลส�ำคัญต่อบ้านเมือง จึงร่วมใจกันสร้างศาลเพื่อดวงวิญญาณของท่าน ได้สิงสถิตอยู่ ชาวบ้านส่วนใหญ่เชื่อว่าท่านจะ ปกป้องคุ้มครองลูกหลานที่มาบนบานศาลกล่าว จึงมีผู้คนมาบูชากราบไหว้เพื่อขอพรอยู่เนืองๆ วัดโพธิ์ ชัยศรี ตั้งอยู่ที่ต�ำบลโพธิ์ชัยศรี เป็นวัดที่มี พระไม้โบราณอายุ 300 ปี ศิลปะแบบล้านช้าง พระครูวีรศาสน์ประดิษฐ์ เจ้าอาวาสวัดโพธิ์ชัย ศรี และเจ้าคณะอ�ำเภอบ้านโคก เล่าถึงที่มาของ ชื่อหลวงพ่อเสี่ยงทายว่า เกิดจากชาวบ้าน มาอธิษฐานเรื่องของหาย สัตว์เลี้ยงหาย ว่าจะได้ กลับคืนมาหรือไม่ ? ชาวบ้านจึงเรียกว่า หลวงพ่อเสี่ยงทายมาถึงปัจจุบัน ที่น่าทึ่งคือ ไม่ว่าจะวัดในส่วนไหนขององค์พระจะลงท้าย ด้วยเลข 9 ทุกด้านซึ่งการอธิษฐานเสี่ยงทาย จะท�ำ 2 ครั้ง ครั้งแรกให้อธิษฐานว่าถ้าส�ำเร็จ ขอให้ยกขึ้น และครั้งที่สองให้ทวนค�ำอธิษฐาน เดิมว่าถ้าส�ำเร็จขอให้ยกไม่ขึ้น เป็นการยืนยัน ค�ำเสี่ยงทายนั้น the governor to build a camp, wall and battle towers at Phu Wiang which is the current location of Ban Khok district office. Most villagers believe that he will protect the descendants. People are still worshiping and pay homage for his blessing. Wat Pho Chai Sri Wat Pho Chai Sri is located at Pho Chai Si Sub-district which possesses a ancient 300 years old Lan Chang style Buddha statue. Phra Kru Veerasatpradit, the temple abbot and Ban Khok district primate, told that the origin of the name of the statue “Luang Phor Siang Tai” comes from events that the villagers asked if they would get their lost cattle and things back. The amazing thing is that all parts of the Buddha’s body measured will end with the number 9. One would wish if his wish will be successful, he can lift the statue. 134 คู่มือการท่องเที่ ยวจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ดอยพระธาตุ ตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านโคก อยู่ในบริเวณใกล้กันกับ วัดโพธิ์ชัยศรีสามารถเดินเท้าหรือไปทางรถยนต์ ก็ได้ สร้างเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2500 ตั้งอยู่บนเนินเขาเล็กๆ สามารถมองเห็นทิวทัศน์ชุมชนเทศบาลบ้านโคก ในมุมกว้าง สวยงามและน่าตื่นตาตื่นใจมาก มีเมฆ หมอกลอยล่องอยู่ตามทิวเขาให้เห็นในระยะ ไกลๆ เหนือทุ่งนาและสวนผลไม้อันเขียวขจี เป็นจุดเช็ก-อินอีกหนึ่งแห่งที่ไม่ควรพลาด พระพุทธชยันตีเมตตาทันใจโลกนาถ (หลวงพ่อทันใจ) ชาวบ้านเรียก “หลวงพ่อใหญ่” เป็นแหล่ง ท่องเที่ยวทางวัฒนธรรมที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้น เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2558 อยู่ห่างจากเจดีย์พระธาตุประมาณ 100 เมตร เพื่อใช้เป็นสถานที่ยึดเหนี่ยวจิตใจ และร่วมท�ำกิจกรรมเกี่ยวกับพระพุทธศาสนา ที่ได้ชื่อว่าเป็นหลวงพ่อทันใจก็เพราะเป็นพระ ที่สร้างเสร็จภายในวันเดียว หินอุ้มบาตร ตั้งอยู่ที่บ้านโคก อยู่ห่างจากหมู่บ้าน 1.5 กิโลเมตร เป็นเส้นทางที่ต้องเดินเท้าเพราะต้องลัดเลาะ ตามไหล่เขา ลักษณะเป็นหินสองก้อนวางซ้อนกัน โดยหินก้อนใหญ่จะมีส่วนคล้ายบาตรพระวาง บนแท่นศิลาที่ลาดเอียง และมีหลุมขนาดเท่า ฝ่ามือเว้าลึกลงไปในเนื้อหิน มีน�้ำใสๆ ขังอยู่ในนั้น Doi Phra That Doi Phra That is near Wat Pho Chai Sri by walk or by car. It was built in 1957 on a small hill. From there, Ban Khok Municipality community can be seen in wider perspective where beautiful and amazing clouds and mist float above mountains from afar beyond rice and fruit fields. It is one of the check-in points that should not be missed. Phra Buddha Chayanti Metta Thanjai Lokkanat (Luang Phor Thanjai) Phra Buddha Chayanti Metta Lokkanat (Luang Phor Thanjai), the villagers call “Luang Pho Yai”, was built in 2015 about 100m away from Chedi Phra that as a spiritual place for Buddhists to engage in Buddhist activities. It is called Luang Phor Thanjai because it was built within a single day. Monk’s Alms Bowl Rock Monk’s Alms Bowl Rock is 1.5 km away from Ban Khok village. The way to the rock is only by walk because it is hilly brae. The rock is two stones stacked. The large stone has a shape like monk’s alms bowl with a hand-sized hole on top always with water inside, placing on a sloping stone pedestal. Thus, villagers call it Hin Um Batr. It is the only last border post left with ancient wooden borderline between Thailand and Lao PDR. Mudmee Ki Lan Chang Village Mudmee Ki Lan Chang Village is in Ban Na Khum, Moo 1, Na Kham Sub-district. This village has a long weaving history since 1982 and it weave more than all others of Ban Khok district. At present, 30 members are housewives who gather to spend their free time from farming to weave traditional Mudmee fabric using artificial thread. The most popular and best selling fabric patterns are the railroad pattern, flowing water pattern, and treasure stone pattern. A fabric costs 500-3,000 baht. Other products are shawls, loincloths, handkerchiefs, and so on. Souvenirs are sold at affordable prices. Open daily from 9 am - 6 pm. There are 3 GI products of Uttaradit as following: 1. Huai Mun Pineapples in Nam Pat District Pattawia pineapple in Huai Mun is unique for its thin skin, shallow eyes, thick and soft texture, honey yellow flesh, aromatic sweet, juiciness, and smooth flesh. It is grown in well drained sandy soil suiting for pineapple production. 2. Long-Laplae Durian Long-Laplae has a round and oval shape, thin rind, thick lush yellow flesh, dried and fine texture, sweet and creamy flavor, small flat seed with less pungent. It is planted in Laplae, Mueang, and Tha Pla District. 3. Lin-Laplae Durian Lin-Laplae durian, which is cylinder in shape with thin rind, thick lush yellow flesh, dried and fine texture, sweet and creamy flavor, less fiber and less pungent with small flat seed, can be kept fresh for a long time.
