Emoji is a small digital icon that says
everything, without words.
World Emoji Day is an annual celebration of
the creation and use of emojis, and is
observed internationally on 17th July.
Emojis are now considered to be a huge
part of popular culture, and have
revolutionized the way in which people
communicate. Once known as the
emoticon, the little symbols that began as
mere happy and sad faces have now
evolved into people, animals, vegetables,
occupations and household items. Taking
the legacy forward to enjoy each moment
of life, the youngest members of the Lotus
Valley Family celebrated this day with
merriment and laughter. Learners
enthusiastically created their own emojis
for their friends and enjoyed the interactive
activities like ‘Emojis to Express’ and ‘Tiny
Transmitters’. They also had fun playing
interesting guess games such as ‘Emoji Jiyo
Ji’ and ‘Emoji Pictionary’ to identify various
objects and movies. It was a fun-filled day
for learners who loved every moment of
using emojis on the virtual screen.
