THE JOURNAL RESEARCH THE KNOWLEDGE OF MOTHER’S PARTURITION ABOUT VITAMIN A By: NOVAYANTI ARZAKY PUTRI NIM 1401300048 STUDY PROGRAM DIPLOMA III NURSING BLITAR NURSING MAJORS POLYTECHNIC HEALTH MINISTRY OF MALANG 2017

THE KNOWLEDGE OF MOTHER’S PARTURITION ABOUT VITAMIN A Novayanti Arzaky Putri Study Program Diploma III Nursing Blitar e-mail : [email protected] Abctract : The puerperium is started after the placenta born and end when content tools to your before pregnant. In the puerperium need to be given Vitamin A to increase the number of Vitamin A in content asi.selain for their Vitamin A useful also in infants, because in the puerperium nursing mother the baby and indirectly babies too also find it. The purpose of this research is to know picture knowledge mother parturition about Vitamin A. In this research is using design descriptive with a population of mother parturition that visit poly KIA. Data collection used the questionnaire for two week from taken from poly KIA the UPTD health Kecamatan Sananwetan using a technique accidental sampling. The results of the study obtained knowledge mother parturition about Vitamin A majority of a yaitu34 % (11 respondents) knowledgeable good, 63 % (20 respondents) knowledgeable enough, 3 % (1 respondent) knowledgeable less. Advice to the UPTD Health Kecamatan Sananwetan especially poly KIA expected increase education service directly to the mothers parturition especially on the topic Vitamin A Keywords: knowledge, mother parturition, Vitamin A INTRODUCTION The puerperium (puerperium) is the after the placenta to recover alat-alat reproductive as before pregnant and time limit parturition is the shortest no restrictions time, even could be a relative short sudahkeluar blood, while the maximum velocity is 40 days (ambarwati & amp; wulandari,) 2010.The puerperium is the recover, ranging from childbirth done to alat-alat the back as prahamil (bahiyatun, 2009).According to the who (2000) suggestion of Vitamin A on the the puerperium of 400.000 iu (2 x 200.000 iu day) while different women after the puerperium (there is also possible some pregnant) of 10.000 iu / day or 25.000 iu / week In the puerperium need to be given Vitamin A to increase the number of Vitamin A in content breastfeeding, besides for their Vitamin A useful also in infants, because in the puerperium nursing mother the baby and indirectly babies too also find it. Benefits Vitamin A besides to increase child survival and helping restoration of health mother parturition that were closely related by anemia and reduce the risk blind evening nursing mother (saleha, 2009) Who have just given birth mother got enough Vitamin A will improve the content of Vitamin A in milk the mother (breastfeeding), so babies who was

breastfeeding more immune to a disease. In addition to that, the health of pregnant mothers is faster recovering (merryana, dkk 2012). Vitamin a was found in animal food, like a heart, the yolk of the egg milk (inside the fat), and butter, while carotene especially inside vegetable food as the leaves of the cassava, leaves nuts, convolvulus, spinach, a nut long, beans, carrots, tomatoes, yellow corn, papaya, mango, nangka cook, and citrus (ambarwati & wulandari, 2010) Healthier a country determined by how many indicators, one of indicators are maternal mortality (AKI). Maternal mortality according to a survey demographic and Indonesian health (SDKI) in 2012 is the mortality rate in Indonesia still higher by 359 per 100.000 live births. This figure is slightly lower compared with sdki in 1991, which are 390 per 100.000 live births. This figure declined slightly although not very significant. Global target (mdgs millennium development goals) to 5 is down maternal mortality (AKI) be 102 per 100.000 live births in 2015 An infection in the puerperium is the cause of the maternal mortality (AKI) (dinkes, 2005). According to data from sdki 2012 the maternal mortality drop from 390 be 228 per 100,000 live births. But in sdki 2012 the maternal mortality back rose to 359 per 100,000 live births.Although AKI the results of sdki 1990 and 2012 is not very different, but to achieve the target 102 in 2015 in think difficult to be reached. The figure is getting far from target the mdgs of 102 per 100,000 live births.City blitar has the highest namely 339.31 per 100,000 live births (dinkes east java, 2012).Cause of death mother 2010-2012 year, increase in factor preeklamsia / eklamsia (pe / e) and other factor, while factor bleeding and infections has declined every year (dinkes east java, 2012) In the city blitar until November 2016 there are 2.301 the mother parturition. And obtained in sananwetan data about 849 people, in kepanjen kidul about 668 people, while in kecamatan sukorejo about 784 the city (dinkes blitar, 2016). According to the interviews in december in uptd health in sukorejo on 7 mother parturition were asked questions about the merits of Vitamin A for mother parturition, obtained 2 mother parturition knowledge good, 2 mother parturition knowledge enough and 3 mother parturition knowledge less. According to preliminary results on hence writers take the title” a mother parturition knowledge about Vitamin A in uptd puskesmas sananwetan” Vitamin a is one of of essential nutrients fat-soluble and deposited in the heart, serves to sight, growth, and increase endurance to a disease. Current in Indonesia still happens the increasing trend less Vitamin A (kva) on the and children under five in poor areas urban (indonesian dept. of health, 2005). According to the ministry of health (1992) shown that 10 million toddler suffer kva subklinis (serum retinol & <20µg/dl),) 60 are in sertai by symptoms spotting bitot threatened blind. The toddler kva (less Vitamin A) would increase in pain and death,

vulnerable to infectious diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia, pneumonia, and finally (almatsier death, s 2001). Vitamin A useful to reduce death and the pain, Because Vitamin A could increase endurance against disease infection as measles, diarrhea, and ispa (merryana, dkk 2012). RESEARCH METHOD A design used researchers are descriptive that is to describe or describe a phenomenon that happening today (notoatmodjo, 157: 2013). The researchers described (described) a mother parturition knowledge about Vitamin A This research on a population that used was the mother who have just given birth who is visiting in KIA poli uptd puskesmas sananwetan. Samples to be taken in this research is mother parturition that visit poly KIA the uptd puskesmas sananwetan This research on a technique that is used is a technique accidental of sampling. The sample collection in aksidental (accidental) this is done by taking a case or respondents things that got happened in or available somewhere in accordance with the context of research (notoatmodjo, 2010). Respondents researchers to meet during a visit in KIA poli community health centers are sananwetan blitar city An instrument data collection in this research was using a questionnaire closed, mother simply to choose the answer that has been provided with a choice between “ right “ and” wrong”. The formula used is : = 100% Description : P = Prosentase F = The number of correct answer n = the number of reserved The determination of the level of knowledge can diketahuidan respondents interpreted with a scale that is both qualitative, as follows value 76-100 % = Good value 56-75% = enough value <56 % = Less THE RESULTS OF RESEARCH Characteristics Of Respondents Research was conducted in kecamatan sananwetan city blitar. Public records presents the characteristics of respondents are the age, education, work, the puerperium, the birth of a child, the number of, information about Vitamin A, a source of information, persons nearest with the parturition, after giving birth control, the provision of Vitamin A The research results show 59 % (19 mother parturition) are less than 30 years, 56 % (18 mother parturition) educated high school, 66 % (21 mother parturition) work as a housewife, 97 % (31 mother parturition) have a parturition for more than 21 days, 53 % (17 mother parturition birth their children to the two, 53 % (17 mother parturition) never give birth to more than 1 times, namely 100 % (32 mothers parturition) had never been informed regarding the provision of Vitamin A, 100 (32 mothers parturition) obtain information about Vitamin A of health workers, 87 % (28 mother parturition) a person who

close to their postpartum are husband, 53 % (17 mother parturition) control to poly KIA, 53 % (17 mother parturition) given Vitamin A when their examination or control to poly KIA. The Knowledge of Mother’s Parturition About Vitamin A Table 1 Mother parturition knowledge about Vitamin A Knowledge Frekuensi Prosentase Good 11 34% Enough 20 63 % Less 1 3 % Total 32 100 % Based on table 4.1 known that the majority of 63 % (20 mother parturition) Know enough about Vitamin A. While 34 % (11 mother parturition) having knowledge good and only 3 % (1 mother parturition) having knowledge less about Vitamin A. Discussion Picture Knowledge Mother Parturition About Vitamin A The results of research known that the majority of 63 % (20 mother parturition) having knowledge enough about Vitamin A. While 34 % (11 mother parturition) having knowledge of good and only 3 % (1 mother parturition) having knowledge less about Vitamin A. This can be deduced that in general the most mother parturition (63 %) namely 20 mother parturition have enough knowledge that. On the parameter c2 (understand) most (63 %) namely 20 mother parturition prescience in the category of sufficient. On the parameter this only 7 mother parturition that can be answered correctly about the source of Vitamin A. According to keller, (2004) Vitamin a contained in food animal, while carotene especially in food vegetable.A source of Vitamin A s the heart, egg yolks, milk (in fat), and butter.Margarine usually enriched with Vitamin A because Vitamin A colorless, a yellow color in the egg yolk is carotene that turn Vitamin A.Fishliver oils used as a source of Vitamin A given for the purpose of healing.According to researchers that mother parturition are really almost every day consume a source of Vitamin A, but they not understood correctly that in fish oil containing Vitamin A that is.There are several factors affecting knowledge mother parturition among others age and a capital work parturition. Based on data show that 59 % mother parturition are less than 30 years. Gunarsa, s (1990) suggested that the old age someone so the process of development mental will become much better. Rising age someone will affect the additional knowledge obtained where but in a certain age. At the age of less than 30 years is reproductive age, where experience of mass parturition still small making them trying to find much information. With age was young memory is still good that when an information or knowledge so will be better also in catch a matter. This is supported with the theory knowledge to the understand interpreted as the ability to elaborate on right about the object to

be check and known and interpret the material is right, those who have understood towards an object or matter should be able to explain, said example, concluded, predicted, and others towards an object learned. (notoadmodjo, 2007) Most (66 %) the 21 mother parturition who as a housewife, 41 % (13 mother parturition) understanding is.The work also affect mother parturition knowledge. As a housewife work was not easy as mother.Especially mothers young where experience in arranging households are still few. This is consistent with the theory notoatmodjo, (2002) work is done to earn a living, the jobs need time and energy to settle various types of a job masing-masing considered important and needs. Residents are busy only having little time to obtain information.Work generally activity can time consuming certain. This too is supported by the presence of mother parturition who control after delivery, than 20 mother of knowledge enough, only 11 mother parturition who control to poly KIA.The control routine, is expected to got the information from health workers especially the provision of Vitamin A. On the outcome of the study also didapatakan that 34 % (11 mother parturition) having knowledge nice about Vitamin A.On knowledge in the domain of know (seconda), mother parturition know about understanding Vitamin A, benefits Vitamin A in the healing process wound upon childbirth and a source of Vitamin A which is in food daily. The data shows that 94 % (30 mother parturition) can respond to properly. So also on domain analysis (c4) questions about how reduce Vitamin A deficiency on the parturition 72 % (23) mothers parturition can respond to properly. According to notoadmojo, in 2007 knowledge is the result “ know “, and occurring after people do pengindraan toward an object certain. Pengindraan occur through pancaindra man for his the sense of sight, hearing, of smell, think, rabbah. Most human knowledge obtained through eyes and ears. Know interpreted as remember a material been examined before. In other words knowledge also called recall remember back in what specific than all material learned or stimuli that has been accepte. According to researchers that mother parturition knowledge good dipengeruhi by education respondents are mostly high school (56 %) and 16 % educated college. From 18 mother parturition that berpedidikan senior and 5 educated people college, they their knowledge of Vitamin A in good category. According to the theory according to mubarak (2007) the higher education someone easier received information especially in empowering awareness. But low education is very difficult to receive empowerment and experience be a thing ever experienced someone in interact with the environment. The researchers argue that education higher, so the process think will be more mature and easy in received information so can increase knowledge better. Besides education, factors information will also affect insight and knowledge mother parturition. Based on

the research done all mother parturition had never been informed regarding the provision of Vitamin A. According to apriadji (1986), information will give impact on knowledge someone while there is a have education. This too is supported the provision of information entirely obtained from health workers at the time of control to poly KIA. The more informsi who diperolh regarding the provision of Vitamin A, the more good knowledge mother parturition. Knowledge mother parturition also obtained 3 % (1ibu parturition a lack of knowledge. Based on the data prosentase knowledge in the category of less almost entirely on the parameter apply (c3) as much as 91 % (29 mother parturition cannot answer the question truth of the capsule Vitamin A on the parturition to increase the number of content Vitamin A in breastfeeding and the causes of Vitamin A deficiency can result in skin to become dry and rough and wound difficult to recover. According to merryana, (2012) Vitamin A for their parturition influential to improve the quality of Vitamin A and the number of the Vitamin A in breastfeeding.Vitamin a also played an important role to maintain mothers during the puerperium, and decrease mortalitas that is associated with pregnancy up to 40 % (keller, 2004).Besides Vitamin A can also accelerated healing wound (almatsir, 2009).According to researchers that mother parturition knowledge low possible influenced by experience, knowledge mommy about Vitamin A to speed up the healing of injured after giving birth and increase the number of Vitamin A in content breastfeeding. The results of tabulation on the parameter c3, from 29 mother parturition there are 16 a person who is birth of a child first. Experience is one of a source of knowledge the best known and frequently used. From the experience people can obtain the responses on the questions they face. The ability to its guidance or knowledge of experience in general considered as the main characteristic of of behavior intelligent (hartono 2002). Researchers thought that mother parturition who first delivery and have a child 1 will affect knowledge someone regarding the provision of Vitamin A. It was because that with the birth of a child or number of children more than one, more or less mother parturition will be information especially in the provision of Vitamin A in the puerperium of health workers at the time examination or control in poly KIA. Aside from the experience, based on data shows that education mother parturition knowledge less about the Vitamin A are sd. Levels of education too easy to determine whether someone absorb and understand knowledge they receive (wied hary apriadji, 1986). Low education is very difficult to receive infromasi and will be difficult in the process of understanding with the lack of knowledge and in applying what was once known as it is more difficult. CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION A. Conclusion Based on the results of research it can be concluded that the picture knowledge who have just given birth
