in playoff at Hoag Classic

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Kirk Triplett made a 12-foot eagle putt on the second hole of a playoff with Woody Aus- tin on Sunday to win the Hoag Classic for his seventh PGA TOUR Champions victory.
The 56-year-old Triplett forced the playoff with a similar left-to- right breaker for birdie on the par-5 18th, then matched Austin with a par on their first extra trip down the tree-lined hole.
"It was the exact same putt I had the first time through," Triplett said.
Playing together, Triplett and Austin each shot 3-under 68 to fin- ish at 10-under 203 at Newport Beach Country Club.

Austin parred the 18th in regulation, then drove into the right rough on both extra holes. He left a greenside bunker shot well short on the first playoff hole, and hit his approach to the right of the green on the second. "He hit three quality shots there to win, but I gave him a chance to win," Austin said. "He should have never even had a chance. That's how it goes. I didn't get the job done when I was supposed to."
Triplett did on the eagle try.
"Got a couple tries at it," Triplett said. "We both hit great shots in regula- tion. They just hit that kikuyu edge there. Very easily Woody's ball could have kicked up there 3 feet from the hole for eagle. I was fortunate to make a putt and get in the playoff."
Jeff Maggert and Scott McCarron finished a stroke out of the playoff. Mc- Carron three-putted the 18th from 30 feet for par and a 68. Maggert shot 65, but couldn't overcome a five-putt triple bogey on 18 in the first round Friday.
Fran Quinn, three strokes ahead entering the round, had a 74 to tie for fifth with Paul Goydos (68) and Steve Flesch (69).
"It's a tough game," Quinn said. "Right now I'm burning inside thinking I should have done a lot more than that. ... I didn't miss a shot for two days and played just flawless golf, and today I looked like about an 8 handicap, or I felt like it."
Newport Beach resident Fred Couples closed with a 69 to tie for 10th at 6 under.

101st PGA Championship at Bethpage Black

The PGA of America today announced, in collaboration with Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, a new and innovative transportation solutions to the 101st PGA Cham- pionship at Bethpage Black. The partnership between Bell and the 2019 PGA Championship will offer an unparalleled flight program that will transport key stakeholders - including C-Suite executives, corporate hospitality clients and PGA Officials – from multiple sites in Manhattan and surrounding New York Metro corporate centers to/from an on-site landing zone located at Bethpage State Park, just minutes from the PGA Championship. As part of the relationship, Bell will be the Official Helicopter Provider of the 2019 PGA Championship. Jin Y Ko Breaks Through
For First Win in U.S.

On a day that included numerous lead changes, it was reign- ing Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Jin Young Ko who emerged victorious from a crowded leaderboard at the 2019 Bank of Hope Founders Cup. Ko played the weekend bogey-free to finish at -22 and earn a one-stroke victory over Jessica Korda, Nelly Korda, Carlota Ciganda and Yu Liu.
The win is Ko’s third career LPGA victory and second since be- coming an LPGA Member in 2018. She is a 10-time winner on the KLPGA, but Sunday’s victory was her first ever in the U.S. The

23-year-old said she felt relieved to finally breakthrough for that first win in the United States.
“Last year I think too much, so I lose a little bit confidence,” Ko said. “But my friends told me, You can do it. Also my manager and my parents, my caddie, all people say, You can. So I got lots of confidence for this year. Really good for third win in the States, so I’m really happy.”
The win at Wildfire Golf Club was extra special for Ko with LPGA Founders Marilynn Smith, Shirley Spork and Marlene Hagge cheering her on from their usual perch on the 18th green. “I want to say thank you to the Founders,” she said. “I wouldn’t have won if there was no Founders here, because if they weren’t here, we don’t have a chance to win on this Wildfire Golf Course. I really want to appreciate the Founders and all the girls out here today and for the weekend.”
In 2019, Ko has played four events with four cuts made, with one victory and two additional top-10 finishes

She is the season’s fourth winner from the Republic of Korea, joining Eun-Hee Ji, Sung Hyun Park and Amy Yang

Won the 2018 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award With her win, Ko earns $225,000; she has earned $450,159 this season and $1,609,164 for her career
With her win, Ko earns 500 points and is projected to move from seventh to second in the Race to the CME Globe with 1,032 points
The LEADERS Top 10 competition awards a $100,000 bonus to the LPGA player with the most top-10 finishes through the com- pletion of the event held immediately prior to the CME Group Tour Championship. In the event of a tie in total top-10 finishes, the award will go to the player with the most official wins, fol- lowed by most second-place finishes, third-place finishes, etc., until the tie is broken.
Nelly Korda’s runner-up finish at the 2019 Bank of Hope Found- ers Cup is her fifth top-10 finish of the season as she leads the competition through the first six events of the year.

CARLSBAD, Calif.— Nasa Hataoka won the Kia Classic on Sunday at Aviara Golf Club for her third victory in her last 16 LPGA Tour starts.
The 20-year-old Japanese player closed with a 5-under 67 for a three-stroke victory over playing partner Inbee Park, top-ranked Sung Hyun Park, Jin Young Ko, Azahara Munoz and Danielle Kang.
“First couple days I wasn’t putting very well so I didn’t really think I could pull this off,” Hataoka said through a translator. “Until the 18th hole, anything could happen, but I was just very relieved that my second shot landed on the putting surface.” After driving left into the water en route to a bogey on the par-4 16th, Hataoka hit a sand wedge to a foot for birdie on the par-5
17th and closed with a par on the par-4 18th.
“I forgot about the bogey very quickly,” she said. “I knew that 17 was a chance I could make a birdie, and just very relieved and felt great that I was able to actually get a birdie.”
Hataoka shot a 64 on Saturday to pull within a stroke of Inbee Park entering the final round in the final event before the major ANA Inspiration at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage.
Hataoka finished at 18-under 270. She won the NW Arkansas Championship and Japan Classic last year.
Winless in 12 months, Inbee Park had a 71 to miss a chance for her 20th LPGA Tour victory.
“Just unfortunate day with the putter,” she said. “Never wanted to go in. Just one of those days. I just have to take it. I think it’s still

a very good momentum going into next week.”
Sung Hyun Park shot a final round 68. Ko and Kang had 65s, and Munoz a 68. Ko won the Founders Cup last week in Phoenix. Hyo Joo Kim matched the course record with a 62 to tie for sev- enth at 14 under. She parred the first five holes, then played the final 13 in 10 under with an eagle on 16.
“I felt like I had a really great rhythm,” Kim said. “I want to con- tinue that going into next week’s major.”
Mi Jung Hur sat at 3-under for the day through her front nine. A solid showing for the eleven-year LPGA veteran, backed up with a par at the tenth hole.
Then Hur turned the flamethrower on. She made seven birdies in a row from the 11ththrough 17th holes, carding a 10-under 62, a new Kia Classic record.

Sung Hyun Park has entered Carlsbad with a history of success. She’s sitting bogey free at (-10) heading into the weekend, posi- tioned for a strong finish with two T4 finishes in her three ap- pearances at Aviara Golf Club.
At the start of the season, Sung Hyun Park announced in a press release that she wanted to once again become the Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking’s No. 1 player. Accomplishing that after her victory in Singapore, she has since set her sights on a new objec- tive to keep her there.
“Of course, World Ranking No. 1 is important, but winning is more important to me. My goal for this season is five wins, and I’ve done one already,” Park told
Accomplishing that goal would double the career wins of Park. She had two her rookie season and three last year.
Her three wins last year were tied for the most wins that season with Ariya Jutanugarn, whom Park passed to become the World’s No. 1 player. Jutanugarn was the last player with five wins in a

season, which she accomplished in 2016.
Park’s given herself a chance at the Kia Classic to add another victory to her list, but recognizes the difficulty Aviara Golf Club poses. “The course is not easy, the fairway is narrow and the greens are pretty soft. The line is pretty hard to see for me,” Park explained.
That challenge hasn’t stopped her from rising to the top of the leaderboard. She’s been within five shots of the lead heading into the final round her last two events, looking to extend that streak with a strong moving day performance.

LOS ANGELES, CA – One of the strongest fields in profes- sional golf just got stronger, as 96 of the top 100 players on the LPGA’s money list are expecting to be in Los Angeles later this month to compete in the 2019 HUGEL-AIR PREMIA LA Open.
Since the preliminary commitments were first announced on March 17, the field has added Jin Young Ko (ranked in the top 10 and finished tied for second in last year’s inaugural event); In Gee Chun (top 30); Angel Yin (top 30 LA native); Jennifer Song (top 35 from Univ. of Southern California); and four other players in the top 100.
The additions further bolster an already stacked field that in- cludes early commitments from the following:
• 14 of the last 15 major winners, including Ariya Jutanugarn, Danielle Kang, Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko and Anna Nor- dqvist.
• Every season-ending money leader since 2010, highlighted by Lexi Thompson, Inbee Park, Stacy Lewis and Yani Tseng.
• All eight players who have held the top spot in the Rolex World Rankings since 2011, including Shanshan Feng, So Yeon Ryu and current World No. 1 Sung Hyun Park.
• Every winner in 2019, including current money list leader Nelly Korda.
Other notables include Michelle Wie and World Golf Hall of Famer Juli Inkster, as well as crowd favorites such as Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel, Cristie Kerr and Christina Kim. Nata- lie Gulbis, one of the most popular players in LPGA history, will
play in the tournament on sponsor exemption for the second year. Moriya Jutanugarn will also be on hand to defend her title.
The final field of 144 players will compete over 72 holes at Wilshire Country Club for a share of the $1.5 million purse. The event will be held April 24–28, 2019, and will be televised live on Golf Channel.

Hit the Little Ball Before the Big Ball

Last week I spent a lot of time on the course with high-hand- icappers trying to improve their game. There were some obvious areas for improvement that almost all amateurs should consider: spending more time on the putting green to get a feel for the speed and grain of the greens, only hitting shots and clubs that are within their comfort zone, aiming away from penalty areas and bunkers, and maintaining a consistent pre- shot routine to reduce anxiety and build positive habits. But what I found most disconcerting was the amount of times that a high-handicapper failed to strike the ball even remotely cor- rectly. In one case, a student went from dribbling a 9 iron to carrying it 100 yards in the air, just by taking the time to under- stand why hitting down on the ball, and hitting the ball before the ground, was so critical to improving her play. To improve your distance and accuracy, consider some of the ball striking “musts” when hitting your approach shots to the green.
The most important thing to remember is that the club needs to strike the ball on the sweet-spot aimed precisely at the target. An open or closed clubface will do more harm to the direction and spin of the shot than just about anything else. However, what most people fail to grasp is how important it is to strike down on the ball. Here’s why it matters. The golf ball has between 300 and 500 dimples that are responsible for keeping it in the air. As you strike down on the ball and the ball spins backward, creating airflow under and over the ball that helps keep it aloft. If you didn’t have dimples (or didn’t strike the ball solidly to create spin), the ball would knuckle and fall more quickly to the ground. When you hear tour pros talking about the Smash Factor, they’re speaking about the amount of energy transferred from the club head to the golf ball. It’s not just how fast you swing, but whether you properly square the clubface, center the hit – and whether you are hitting the ball with a downward strike with your irons and approach shots. With some of the physics under your belt, let’s apply some drills to help create more consistent downward striking of the ball. First: Practice swings. As you take your practice swings, notice where the sole or leading edge of the club strikes the grass. Nothing frustrates me more than watching an amateur take a practice swing where the club makes contact behind where the ball would be and then proceeding to walk up and hit the shot. No surprise, it’s often hit fat. Take as many practice swings as it takes, but don’t approach the ball until you can consistent- ly strike the ground in front of the ball.

ball, with the hands falling behind the head of the club. The hands must stay ahead of the clubhead, leaning the shaft. I re- member as a child, someone said that your hands had to go PAST the ball before you released the club.
Third: Think down! Watch for the divot after the ball and mea- sure your success not by how far the ball goes, but by whether you’ve made contact with the ground after impact.
When I work with elite players who are struggling with these concepts, I will actually put the ball in a divot (or press the ball into the ground with my foot). The deeper the ball rests, the more downward strike is required (and you can’t dig a ball out of a buried lie). If you want to really improve your ball-striking, try hitting out of divots until you can catch it cleanly.
In summary, one of the easiest ways to improve your approach shots it to hit the ball with a square clubface on a downward trajectory – and by hitting the little ball before the Earth (the big ball). The dimples on the ball help create distance and con- trol – and trying to lift the ball actually decreases the distance and control you can achieve with your short shots. Take time to rehearse practice swings that produce a divot in front of the ball, keep your hands forward on your strikes, and focus on a downward trajectory to get the ball airborne. If you need a drill to help reinforce proper downward contact, try hitting out of a divot or a buried lie.

가장 중요한 사실은 클럽이 타겟에 맞도록 조준된 스위트스팟을 정확 히 쳐내야 한다는 사실입니다. 클럽 페이스가 너무 열리거나 닫혀있는 것 만큼 샷의 방향과 정확도를 좌우하는것은 없습니다. 하지만 많은이 들이 놓치는 것은 볼을 아래로 쳐내야 한다는 사실입니다. 볼에는 보통 300개에서 500개의 딤플이 있는데, 그 딤플들이 볼이 공중에 떠있도 록 돕습니다. 볼을 아래로 쳐내며 뒷쪽으로 스핌이 들어가면, 볼의 아 래위로 공기가 흘러가며 볼이 자연스럽게 떠있게 됩니다. 만약 볼에 딤 플이 없던가, 제대로 쳐내서 스핀을 만들어내지 못하면, 너클볼이 되며 땅에 금방 떨어지게 되지요. 투어의 프로 선수들이 스매쉬 팩터라고 부 르는 이것이 바로 클럽 헤드에서 골프볼까지 얼마만큼의 에너지가 전 달되는가에 대한 내용입니다. 스윙이 얼마나 빠른지보다도, 정확히 클 럽페이스의 중앙으로 공을 쳐내는지, 그리고 아이언과 어프로치샷은 아래로 힘을 가하며 쳐내고 있는지가 정말 중요합니다. 공의 움직임 에 대한 물리적 법칙이 이해되었다면, 어떻게 하면 좀더 일관성있게 아 래로 볼을 쳐낼수 있는지 몇가지 훈련방법을 알아보도록 하겠습니다. 첫번째는 연습 스윙입니다. 필드에서 연습 스윙을 하면서 클럽의 솔이 나 앞쪽 엣지가 어디서 잔디를 쳐내는지를 확인하세요. 제가 가장 답답 한 부분은 아마추어들이 연습 스윙을 하면서 볼이 있을 지점의 뒷부분 을 겨냥하며 연습스윙을 하고나서 어드레스에 들어가는 것입니다. 보 통너무두껍게맞을수밖에없지요.필요한만큼많은연습스윙을하 고 들어가셔야 합니다. 볼 앞쪽의 지면을 확실치 쳐낼수 있을때 까지는 공에 가까이 가지 말고 계속 연습스윙을 하시기 바랍니다.
둘째로 양손이 앞쪽으로 가야 합니다. 많은 경우에 클럽이 볼보다 땅을
먼저 쳐내는 이유는 공을 띄우겠다는 이유로 양손이 클럽 헤드의 뒷편 에쏠리기때문입니다.항상 두손은클럽헤드보다더앞서나가며샤 프트를 자연스럽게 기울여주어야 합니다. 제가 어렸을때 코치에게 배 운것은, 클럽을 놓기 전에 손이 볼 앞에 있어야 한다고 말씀하셨지요. 셋째로, 아래방향을 기억하세요.디봇을 잘 관찰하며, 성공율을 비거리 자체에 두지 말고, 임팩트 이후에 클럽이 땅에 닿았는지 여부에 두시 기 바랍니다.
이 사항들을 이해하지 못하는 프로 선수들과 훈련할때라면 저는 볼을 디봇에두거나,볼을제발로땅깊숙히밀어넣습니다.볼이더깊숙히 들어갈수록, 스윙을 더 아랫쪽으로 해야하기 때문입니다 (그리고 라이 에 파묻힌 공을 꺼낼수는 없으니까요.) 정말 정타를 만들어내기 원하 신다면, 깔끔하게 쳐낼수 있을때 까지 디봇안에서 쳐내는 연습을 하시 는것도 좋습니다.
정리해보도록 하겠습니다. 어프로치샷을 향상시키는 가장 쉬운 방법은 공이 클럽 페이스에 아래 방향으로 정타를 내는 것입니다. 그래서 큰공 (지구)보다 번저 작은공을 쳐내도록 하는 것이지요. 볼의 딤플들이 비 거리와 컨트롤은 제공합니다. 그리고 볼을 띄우려고 억지로 노력하면, 간단히 끌어낼수 있는 비거리와 컨트롤을 오히려 잃게 되지요. 볼 앞에 디봇을 만들어내는 연습 스윙을 반복하고, 스윙마다 양손이 앞서 나가 도록 하며, 아래로 향하는 스윙으로 볼을 높이 띄우시기 바랍니다. 만 약 아래로 향하는 타법을 더욱 훈련해야 한다면, 볼을 디봇이나 파묻힌 라이에서 쳐내는 훈련법을 추천합니다. Do you want to increase your distance? Then you need to ask your self the following questions.
First, what are you willing to do? Second, do you have the time to work for extra distance? Third, do you have a train- ing plan? Let us assume you truly desire more distance. First, does your swing have the proper body movements necessary to increase your distance? Second, can you move the club on an improved path to hit the ball with correct impact to path? Third, will you train to hit the ball longer?
Let’s assume your golf clubs fit you properly. Increasing your smash factor and ball speed is a good place to start.
I am going right to the point of training with a great drill if done properly will help you become a better and stronger striker of the ball.
Credit for this drill goes back to the 1940’s as it was intro- duced the golf world by a british legend as a player and teacher.

The tools that you need are very simple and can be used at your home requiring enough room to swing a club safely. The two most important tools are
A used tire that any tire store would gladly sell to you for a very minimal price
You need a pressure stick designed to take the punish- ment of beating this tire... a golf club will bend and break becoming dangerous
I have developed a pressure stick that will serve you well if you are serious about training.
Or you can purchase a light long sledge hammer to swing into the tire. I find it very cumbersome to use but it can be used.

이 훈련법은 영국의 선수이자 교사로서 골프계의 레전드였던 한 사람에 의해 1940년대에 소개되었습니다.
그 이름은 헨리 코튼입니다.
필요한 도구들은 매우 간단하며, 클럽을 온전히 스윙할만한 공간 만 있다면 집안에서도 가능합니다.
가장 중요한 두개의 툴은 어디서든 매우 싼 가격으로 구입 가능 한 중고 타이어 하나와 이 타이어를 계속 두드려도 부러지지 않 을 막대기 하나가 필요합니다. (골프 클럽은 휘거나 부러질수 있 어서 위험합니다.)
진지하게 훈련하시기 원하신다면 제가 개발해놓은 막대기도 있 습니다.
하지만 그렇지 않다면 경량 대형 해머 하나를 구입하여 타이어 에 스윙하셔도 좋습니다. 사용이 조금 불편하지만 충분히 사용 가능합니다.

Both Drills are fantastic drills for improving your strike. Pressure striking sticks should be used to maximize the drills effectiveness. Both drills should be performed with care and according to your existing physical abilities as you need to build up your strength.
Start out drills at 50% of your known club head speed. To avoid injury work up to 70% of your club head speed. Stronger golfers can build up to about 80% of your club head speed.
Maximum speed can not be used as the fast stopping of the body puts stress on your hands, wrists, forearms and shoulders.

본인이 낼수 있는 스피드의 50%에서 우선 훈련을 시작하고, 부 상을 방지하기 위해서 스윙 스피드의 70%까지만 훈련하시기 바랍니다. 체력에 자신있는 골퍼라면 80%까지 도전하셔도 좋 습니다.

They say more business is done on the golf course than any- where else. I would put it another way. You can learn ev- erything you need to know about a potential business partner by playing golf with them. Why? Because how someone does any- thing is how they do everything.
When I’m choosing what companies to invest in, it’s never really about the company – it’s about the people. I believe that before you do business with anyone, you have to find out who they are. And there’s no place better than a golf course to do that.
I like to get people in a social and semi-competitive environment to see how they operate. On the golf course, I’m observing how they play the game – do they cheat, do they get angry, are they throwing their game to be humble? All these are great tells as to how they will operate in a business setting. It’s a matter of congruency. How someone plays a game reflects how he or she conducts them self in life.
There’s something about a golf course that really brings out one’s character. I like the game of golf because you’re playing against

yourself, but others are there for accountability. I get so much information by watching someone play and listening to the con- versation around the game.
For example, does the player ask for a mulligan after a bad shot, or try to cover it up? Asking for a consensus among other golfers is the smart move. If they try to hide things in golf, they’ll hide things in business, too.
If you’re golfing with a guy who’s married and he talks a lot about other women, that’s a red flag. How is he going to be loyal to me as an investor if he can’t even be loyal to his own wife? At some point, they’re going to be unfaithful to me in a business relation- ship.
It’s not about how well you play, it’s how you face the inevitable challenges.
On a golf course, there’s the tee (where you begin) and the hole (where you end), and a long journey in between that may take you through the rough, through sand traps, or even in the water. Of course you want to sail smoothly to the green, but it doesn’t always happen. If I see a player get heated and emotional and blame his club or the ball or the course in general, I know that person has an anger problem, and an accountability problem. They’re not taking responsibility for their own mistakes. If they don’t own it on the golf course, they won’t own it in business. When the investment challenges in business arrive, odds are they’re going to have the same reaction.
Another thing I’m looking for on the course is caring. Sure, I like working with people who are competitive, but I don’t want to win at the expense of someone else. In my experience, most business owners and investors are Type A personalities, but you also have to have the disposition to care about the other alphas in the room and wouldn’t throw them under the bus for the sake of a dollar. A compassionate attitude has to be part of the equation so you know when and how to yield to others in the boardroom. I also look for people who show too much humility. That can be just as bad as having too much ego. If a player is purposely try- ing not to play their best game on the links so they don’t outshine the master, they’re cheating themselves. Although it may seem altruistic at first, that player is being false and deceptive. They’re playing the game how someone else wants them to play it, not

how they would play it using their talent and potential. In busi- ness, I want someone who will stand up to me, tell me when I’m wrong, and challenge my thoughts and perceptions. It’s a guaran- tee that I’m going to make mistakes along the way. I want people around me to point them out constructively so we can all learn from them.
Usually at the end of 18 holes, I’ve spent enough time with some- one to know if I want to be in business with them or not. The game of business starts with the game of golf.
Five Things to Look for in a Business Partner
▲Honesty and Integrity
These are the cornerstones of any long-term business relation- ship. Actively listen to your potential business partner to make sure they’re disclosing important information about the pros and cons of any venture. Look for direct eye contact and open body language throughout those critical conservations.
▲Accountability
Seek out partners who will own their decisions and take re- sponsibility for good ones and bad ones. If they’re always try- ing to pass the blame to someone else on the team, they won’t be a strong link in the chain of success.
▲Loyalty
You need to know that you and your business partners have
each other’s backs no matter what happens. It’s all smiles and slaps on the back when things are going great, but you also want someone who’s willing to stick it out through the chal- lenging times, and learn from failure.
▲Compassion
It’s one thing to be competitive; it’s another to win at the ex- pense of someone else. A compassionate attitude has to be part of the equation so you know when and how to yield to oth- ers in business, especially when you’re sitting in a boardroom filled with Type A personalities.
▲Drive
You want partners who will push you, challenge you, and drive you to success, not ones who nod approvingly and remain pas- sive. A good partner comes with different skill sets and per- spectives, and you’re there to learn from each other.

저는 사회적이면서도 결쟁할수 있는 장소에서 사람을 만나려 고 노력합니다. 골프코스에서는 그들이 어떻게 게임을 만들어 가는지를 관찰하지요. 속이는지, 화를 내는지, 아니면 일부러 게임을 져주고 있는지 등등, 이런 방식이 그들이 비즈니스를 어떻게 하는지를 알려줍니다. 사람의 원칙은 동일하기 때문이 지요. 게임하는 방식이 그들이 어떻게 생활속에서 결정을 내 리는지 알려줍니다.
특별히 골프코스는 그 사람의 성품에 대해서 더욱 알려줍니 다. 골프는 사실 본인과의 싸움이지만, 재미있는 부분은 다른 사람들이 그들을 지켜보고 있다는 사실입니다. 한 선수의 플 레이를 보고 그들이 어떻게 대화하는지를 지켜보면 많은뜨 것 을알수있습니다.예를들자면,실수를하고나서멀리건을요 청하는지 아니면 숨기고 넘어가려고 하는지를 볼수 있습니다. 함께 참여하는 골퍼들에게 동의를 구하는 것은 아주 현명한 결 정이지요. 반대로 만약 골프장에서 무언가를 숨기려고 한다 면, 사업중에서도 숨기려고 할것입니다. 만약기혼남성과함께라운딩하고있는데그가자꾸다른여 자들에 대해서 말한다면 적색 신호입니다. 자기의 아내에게도 충실하지 못한 사람이 어떻게 투자자에게 신의를 지킬수 있을 까요? 언젠가 그는 저에게도 (비즈니스 파트너로서) 신뢰를 깨 트리는 날이 올것입니다.

골프코스에서는 시작점인 티와 마무리점인 홀이 있으며, 그 사이에 러프와 샌드, 혹은 호수까지 지나쳐가는 긴 여정이 있 습니다. 그린까지 순조롭게 다다르고 싶지만 보통 쉽지는 않 지요.한사람이쉽게화를내며클럽이나볼,혹은코스탓을 한다면, 그는 분노조절과 책임회피의 문제가 있는 것이지요. 자신의 실수를 인정하지 않는 것입니다. 그리고 골프에서도 인정하지 못한다면 비즈니스에서도 인정하지 않을거고요. 투 자에서 문제가 생기면 똑같은 반응을 보일것입니다. 또한가지코스에서제가유심히보는것은어떻게남을돌보 는지 입니다. 물론 사업을 한다면 승부욕이 있어야 하겠지만, 남을 해치면서까지 이기려고 하는 사람은 피해야 합니다. 거 의 모든 사업자와 투자자들은 A타입의 성격을 지녔고 승부욕 이 강하지만, 또한 다른 리더들도 배려하며 돈 얼마때문에 남 을 버리는 자라면 피애가야 합니다. 남을 배려하고 돌보는 태 도가 있어야지 회의실에서도 남에게 양보하고 져줄때를 알고 움직일수 있지요.
저는 또한 너무 겸손한척 하는 이도 조심스럽게 봅니다. 너무
자존심이 강한것 만큼이나 단점일수 있기 때문입니다. 혹시나 일부러 남을 높여주기 위해서 모든 노력을 쏟지 않고 있다면, 그것도 자신에게 거짓말 하고 있는 것입니다. 이타적으로 보 이지만 그는 기만한 것이지요. 남들이 원하는대로 게임을 하 고 있는것이며, 자신의 재능과 잠재성을 사용하지 않고 있는 것입니다. 저는 비즈니스에서 당당하고, 잘못된것은 잘못되었 다고 말할수 있으며, 저의 생각과 관점에 도전할수 있는 사람 과 함께 협업하고 싶기 때문입니다. 저도 실수를 하게 될텐데, 이런 사람은 서로의 실수에 대해서 말해주지 못할것이며, 그 럼 함께 배우고 성장할수가 없습니다. 보통18홀의끝에서는이미많은시간을함께했기에,함께비 즈니스를 할지 안할지 결정을 내린 상태입니다. 저에게 비즈 니스의 게임은 골프 게임과 함께 시작됩니다.
비즈니스 파트너에게 필요한 5가지 덕목

어떤 장기 비즈니스 계약에서나 반석같은 존재이다. 항상 상대방의 말에 귀를 경청하여 그가 어떤 사업이던 장점과 단점을전부밝히고있는지확인해야한다.그런중대한대 화시에 시선을 마주치며 자연스럽게 편안하게 대화하는지 를 살펴본다.

PGA Catalunya Resort, one of Eu- rope’s finest golf experiences, today be- gins a year-long celebration to mark the 20th anniversary of its iconic Stadium Course, the No.1* ranked layout in Spain for the last seven years.
Since opening to huge acclaim in 1999, the Ángel Gallardo and Neil Coles MBE designed course has been one of the most talked about golf experiences in conti- nental Europe and has consistently won praise and awards including, most recent- ly, the ‘Best Golf Course in Spain’ at the 2018 World Golf Awards.
The course provides constant challenges for all true golf lovers, with each hole pre- senting a different test of skill thanks to a strategic combination of lakes, bunkers,
player-concentration throughout the round.
The superb natural landscape surround- ing the course gives players extra golfing enjoyment, especially at the signature 13th hole, commanding wonderful views of the Pyrenees’ dominating Montseny Massif.
The pedigree and appeal of The Stadium Course has also continued to attract ma- jor tournaments, including The Sarazen World Open in its inaugural year (won by 2018 European Ryder Cup Captain, Thomas Bjørn) and three Open de Es- pañas, the first in 2000, won by Spanish legend, Miguel Ángel Jimenez.
Course designer, Ángel Gallardo, who calls his course ‘a masterpiece’, said: “The Stadium Course is undoubtedly one of the finest golf venues in the world, and I am so proud of what we have achieved. I would like to think that when I have passed away, I will be remembered for my role in creating it.”
Also home to the Tour Course, PGA Catalunya Resort boasts some of the fin- est practice facilities in Europe, including The Golf Hub (opened by former Masters Champion, Sergio Garcia, in 2018) an academy that integrates the latest state- of-the-art golf ball tracking system with social gaming experiences to be enjoyed by the whole family.
Kicking off a series of functions and events over the coming months, PGA Catalunya Resort’s CEO, David Plana, commented: “We don’t feel 20 years old; we feel 20 years young! Our resort is more vibrant and exciting today than at any point in its history.”
Over the next few years, a further €20 million will be invested into new projects on the estate, which will include the cre- ation of a recreational lake, with its own lake club and a variety of water sports, as well as a comprehensive new spa and wellness centre.
