SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., -- Miura Golf today introduced the lat- est addition to its growing product line by giving one of its most iconic clubs a modern upgrade. Following in the footsteps of the original 1957 K-Grind wedge, the new K-Grind 2.0 fea- tures the signature knuckled sole of the 1957 model, but adds cutting-edge milling techniques for an unrivaled combination of functionality and feel.
Given the proven staying-power of the K-Grind, the Miura fam- ily craftsmen sought to maintain the integrity of the original
design by preserving the fluted sole that enables the clubface to remain square at impact. The three knuckles deliver increased playability through every type of turf. The K-Grind 2.0 sole grind features increased bounce and roll along with heel and toe relief designed to stabilize golfers’ swings of all skill levels.
Club Face Now Fully Milled
The other significant evolution of the line is evident on the club- face of the wedge. To keep in line with the modern style of play, the face and grooves of the K-Grind 2.0 have been fully milled to provide increased spin on intermediate and full shots.
The K-Grind 2.0 is hand-forged in Himeji, Japan, using Miura’s time-honored 14-step manufacturing process. It is offered in five lofts, from 52° to 60°.

FAIRHAVEN, Mass-The introduction of the new Titleist TS4 driver provides golfers seeking ultra-low spin performance with the speed and distance gains that have made Titleist TS2 and TS3 the most played driver models this season on the PGA Tour.
The new TS4, making its debut this week at the Valero Texas Open, is engineered to be a high-speed ultra low-spin design – challenging the notion that a driver designed for extreme spin reduction can’t produce this level of ball speed.
Available in golf shops and fitting locations beginning in late June, TS4 merges technologies developed through the Titleist Speed Project with a low, forward CG that neutralizes spin to produce a longer, more piercing ball flight.
“TS drivers have exceeded all our expectations both on tour and with golfers around the world,” saidJosh Talge, Vice President of Marketing, Titleist Golf Clubs. “When it comes to driver per-
formance, TS has shown that it’s no longer a one- or two-horse race.”
“While we know most golfers find their best fit in a TS2 or TS3 driver, there is a percentage of players out there with distinct per- formance needs, such as aggressive spin reduction,” Talge said. “TS4 is the ultra low-spin driver that still produces exceptional ball speed. If you want to hit it longer but are having trouble con- trolling spin off the tee, TS4 was made for you.”
TS4 TECHNOLOGY & PERFORMANCE
The innovations used to drive ball speed in TS2 and TS3 driv- ers have been optimized for TS4’s 430cc Speed Chassis, designed to aggressively reduce spin and maximize distance for high-spin players:
• Ultra-Thin Titanium Crown. The thinnest cast titanium crown (20% thinner than 917 drivers) in the game allows weight to be redistributed low and forward for reduced spin.
• Thinner, Faster Face. The fastest face Titleist has ever made – a refined Radial VFT (variable face thickness) that reduces weight – delivers faster ball speeds and increased forgiveness. Every TS driver face undergoes a 100% CT inspection to ensure speed performance is at the maximum allowable limit.
• Streamlined Shape. The aerodynamic design of TS4 – featuring a 430cc classic, pear shape – reduces drag, allowing golfers to

swing faster for increased club head speed and more distance. • Low, Forward CG: The low and forward CG position (5mm forward vs. TS2) – highlighted by the placement of the SureFit Flatweight– produces ultra-low spin for a piercing ball flight
that is straighter and more consistent.
Titleist’s patented SureFit Hosel, featuring 16 independent loft and lie settings, allows for additional ball flight optimization through precision fitting.
“When it comes to ultra low-spin drivers, there’s always going to be some tradeoff in terms of MOI,”Talge said. “But for those golfers who create too much spin because of the way they de- liver the club head, we know through our player testing that TS4 can give them greater distance consistency versus what they would see in a higher-MOI product.”

Hankook Chinaware opened its US flagship store on March 1st. As it opens its door in Orange County (with large Korean-American population), many people are looking forward to shopping from the famous brand.

If you travel North up the Northern Atlantic, there appears the largest island on the earth, Greenland. It is not easy to travel there, hence there aren’t too many people that’s traveled there. Around 2,500 B.C. the Inuit from Alaska moved and settled down in Greenland. Then during 10th cen- tury, about 700 Norwegian Vikings led by Erik were exiled from Iceland and moved to this island. In some way, they were the first to arrive at North American soil, 500 years be- fore Columbus.
The name Greenland makes you think of a green pasture. But the irony is that it is covered with white ice; 2/3 of the land is considered to be part of the North Pole, and it is a na- tion of glacier. Then why is it called Greenland? There are many theories: Erik mispronounced ‘grunt (land)’ and the name stuck as Greenland, or some saw the short grass during sum- mer months and thought it would be green all year round, or Erik called it to mislead others into migrating here by telling them it’s green.
In 1721, Greenland became a colony of Denmark, and while it obtained its sovereignty in 1979, Denmark still takes care of its diplomacy and mili- tary. IN 2009, there was a declaration of limited independence, where it is still under Denmark’s government yet independently manages its resources, as well as law enforcement and polic- ing.
Greenland has population of 56,000, and it is least populated nation on the earth. It is 10 times the territory of Korean peninsula, but about 85% of the island is covered in ice year- round, so most people reside in the comparatively warmer southwestern coastal areas.
Greenland retains most of prehistoric ice age: humongous minke whales, native Inuit people (popularly called Eskimos), sea lions, Narwhales (one- horned whales) that resemble uni- corns, mesmerizingly large glaciers and icebergs. One cannot imagine such a habitat, yet in Greenland, you

get to experience the grandeur and mys- tery of nature. Greenland also boasts a large population of sea otters (it contains more otters than humans), and you get to meet animals such as polar bears, rein- deers, arctic foxes and ferrets, residing only in the North Pole.
Travel Season lasts only two months during Summer, during the Midnight Sun
Not everyone can travel to Greenland; it has been said that you need God’s favor in order to visit there. The only possible travel season to Greenland is during sum- mer, during the Midnight Sun. Only then there are flights from Iceland to Green- land, and even those flights get cancelled due to weather conditions; because of short runways at the airport, only smaller aircrafts can land there anyway.
Once you are airborne, Greenland looks like a land covered in white snow, unlike
its name. It seems like staring at a blank piece of paper; and not just the landscape, but the atmosphere as well. The air feels transparent and fresh, and you breathe in the cleanest air on the planet. Finally you’ve arrived in this land.
Do not be surprised if you were expect- ing dead of the winter or a land filled with frozen tundra and igloos. Greenland dur- ing the summer is crisp and fresh enough to require only a warm sweater and a light jacket. There are many beautiful hotels, people reside in modern Europe- an homes, and yes, shops do take credit cards. In Nuuk, the capital, there is the University of Arctic, Greenland.
Of course, not all of Greenland is warm; Ultima Thule (the end of the world), lo- cated in the northern Greenland, is com- pletely different. Even during Summer months, it is freezing cold and you can see original Inuit people, riding on dog sleds and hunting polar bears, sea lions,
and whales.
Best Ice Show on the Earth
Ice cap covering Greenland averages 1,500m in thickness, and tops out at 3,000m. If all the ice in Greenland were to melt, the world’s mean sea level would rise up 7m, and around 2/3 of the world’s major port cities would be submerged. Ilulissat is the major pathway for all the glaciers in Greenland to float into the ocean. It is the third largest city in Green- land and its biggest tourist spot; it was listed as Unesco’s World Heritage Site in 2004. Glacier floats at a high speed along the villages (at the highest speed in the world), moving out more than 35 km3 worth of ice into the ocean every year. The Titanic famously sank in the Atlantic due to an iceberg that floated away from Greenland. Just like we saw in the movie, here in Ilulissat it is very easy for you to witness an iceberg breaking off from the

larger chunk and speeding into the ocean. Numerous glaciers as such float around in the ocean in front of Ilulissat, as if flour dough torn off from a larger dough. They break off in the ocean in various colors and shapes; it is such a mesmerizing site where you can stare at them all day long. It almost brings you to adore its extreme- ly cold beauty.
Highlight of this trip is glacier trekking. Ilulissat is the one place in the world where you can witness glacier breaking off right next to you, and it does not require any special equipment. You can simply go trekking on the glacier in order to witness the amazing show of ice and ocean. There are three trekking courses available: Yellow, Blue, and Red, and each color represents a different route. US Aju Tour participates on Yellow and Blue courses, which were chosen as top ten trekking courses in the world. Each course has its colored stones along the courses, and as you follow the trekking courses, the ice- berg and glacier pieces, small and big, fill the heart and eyes of each traveler.

The cruise departs from Ilulissat and navigates between icebergs, and it makes the experience of a lifetime. Large iceberg forms a skyline of its own, as if it is a skyscraper. It is definitely the highlight of our trip to Greenland, and it is not a stretch to say that it is the largest ice show on the earth. Through the trans- parent sea water, you see the body of an iceberg and you get to understand what they mean when they say ‘tip of the ice- berg.’ Blue hues of these glaciers rival that of a jade or a sapphire. Icebergs that seem to be stationary are actually in motion along with the movement of the ocean. Two hours from Ilulissat aboard the cruise ship, you arrive at a small fishing town called Rodebay, with its population of 100. The village has a long history, and it has a restaurant called H8, which is the northernmost restaurant in the world. You can enjoy the most romantic lunch in the world, and it makes a fantastic din- ing experience with a breathtaking view in backdrop.
Greenland offers a magnificent view that only Greenland can offer, and it almost convinces you to join the Inuit and settle down there. The midnight sun and the sound of glaciers moving are still so alive in my brain.

기원전 2500년 무렵부터 알라스카 에서 온 이누이트족이 그린랜드 에 정착해 살기 시작했다. 10세기 무렵 에는 이웃한 아이슬랜드에서 추방된 노 르웨이 출신 바이킹 에릭이 추종자 700 여명과 함께 이 섬으로 이주했다. 이들 은 콜럼버스보다 500년이나 앞서 북아 메리카 땅을 밟았다.


Feeling overwhelmed in face of mesmerizing beauty of nature in Greenland / 그린랜드 자연이 빚어낸 경이로우며, 차가운 아름다움 앞에서 필자는 깊은 경외감을 느낀다.
‘그린랜드’ 하면 국명이 그렇다보니 자연 스레 ‘푸른 초원’ ‘초록땅’의 풍경이 떠오 른다. 그런데 실상은 하얀 얼음으로 덮 여있는 겨울왕국의 섬이니 아이러니다. 국토 3분의 2 이상이 북극권에 속하는 빙하의 나라에 그린랜드라는 이름이 붙 은것에는여러설이있다.에릭이‘그룬 트’(땅)를 잘못 발음해 그린랜드가 됐다 는설,짧은여름철해안가에푸르게자 란 풀을 보고 그린랜드라고 했다는 설, 추운 이곳으로 이주민을 끌어들이기 위 해 에릭이 일부러 그렇게 이름을 지었다
는설등이있다.
그린랜드는 1721년 덴마크의 식민지가 됐고 1979년 자치권을 얻었지만 아직까 지 외교와 국방은 덴마크가 맡고 있다. 2009년 제한적 독립을 선언해 덴마크의 속령이면서도 그린랜드의 지하자원 사 용에대한권리,사법권,경찰권등을독 립적으로 행사하고 있다.
그린랜드의 인구는 5만6000여명 정도 다. 지구상에서 인구밀도가 가장 낮다. 면적은 한반도의 10배나 되지만 섬의 85% 이상이 만년설로 덮여있어 상대적
으로 날씨가 따뜻한 남서부 해안가 지역 에 주민들이 모여산다.

혹여 수염이 꽁꽁 얼어붙는 날씨나 눈으 로 만든 이글루를 상상하셨다면 놀라지 마시길! 여름의 그린랜드는 따뜻한 스웨 터나 가벼운 점퍼 하나면충분할만큼 날 씨가 쾌청하다. 이곳에도 제법 근사한 호텔들이 있고, 주민들은 유럽풍 주택에 살며, 신용카드 한 장으로 쇼핑도 즐긴 다. 수도인 누크(Nuuk)에는 이름도 멋 진 북극대학도 있다. 물론그린랜드전역이모두그런것은 아니다. 북 그린랜드의 울티마 툴(ul- tima thule:세상의 끝) 지역의 상황은 180도 다르니까... 그곳에 가면 개썰매 를타고북극곰,바다표범,고래등을사 냥하며 살아가는 본래 이누이트인들의 모습도볼수있다.
지상 최고의 ‘아이스쇼’
그린랜드를 뒤덮은 얼음의 두께는 평균 1,500m 최고 3,000m가 넘는다. 만일 그린랜드의 얼음층이 전부 녹는다면 지
구 해수면이 7m 이상 높아져해안에 자 리한세계주요대도시의3분의2가물 에 잠길 것이라고 한다.
그린랜드의 빙하들이 바다로 흘러가는 가장 중요한 길이 바로 일루리삿(Il- ulissat)이다. 일루리삿은 그린랜드에서 세 번째로 큰 도시이자, 2004년유네스 코 세계문화유산에 등재된 최대 관광지 다.마을의옆을흐르는빙하는전세계 에서가장빠른속도로이동하면서해 마다 35km³의 얼음덩어리를 바다로 밀어 낸다.
그린랜드에서 떨어져 나온 빙산에 의해 그 유명한 타이타닉호는 대서양에 침몰 했다. 실제로도 빙하가 굉음을 내며 바 다로 무너져내리는, 영화보다 더 영화 같은 장면을 이곳에서는 쉽게 목격할 수 있다. 그렇게 무너진 얼음덩어리들은 일 루리삿 앞바다를 무수히 떠다닌다. 마치 밀가루반죽을손으로뚝뚝떼어낸바 다에 잔뜩 던져놓은 것같다. 수제비 같 은 얼음덩어리들은 바다 위에서 갈라지 고 부서지면서 신비로운 빛깔과 형태를

On hardened ice surface, the sled dogs can run at about 20 km/hour and run about 250km per day. 얼음이 단단할 때 썰매개들은 시속 20km 정도로 하루에 무려 250km나 달릴 수 있다고 한다.
