THE IMPACT OF EMOTIONAL LABOUR TOWARDS THE LEVEL OF PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL BEING AMONG HOTEL INDUSTRY WORKER IN DAERAH MELAKA TENGAH, MELAKA MUHAMMAD MIKHAEL BIN AZMAN Universiti Selangor [email protected] ABSTRACT Emotional labour involves workers attempting to feel the correct emotion for the job. Mental health encompasses hedonic refer to enjoyment and pleasure; eudaimonic refer to meaning and fulfilment, and resilience which is coping, mood management, and healthy problem-solving. This study examines how emotional labour affects hotel workers’ mental health in Daerah Melaka Tengah, Melaka. This study examines three goals. Three types of emotional labour— surface acting, deep acting, and true acting—impact hotel workers’ mental health. The independent variable is emotional labour, and the dependent variable is psychological well-being. This study employed quantitative research. The 14-item Diefendorff (2004) emotional labour questionnaire was used in this study. The 42-item Psychological Well-Being questionnaire is adapted from Caroll Ryff’s 1989 scale. This study included 14 hotels and 84 hotel employees who completed questionnaires using simple random selection. Simple Linear Regression analysis was employed to evaluate the hypotheses, the final result showed no significant impact between emotional labour and psychological well-being among hotel industry workers. Therefore, the three dimensions or forms of emotional labour did not affect hotel industry workers in Daerah Melaka Tengah, Melaka, regarding their psychological well-being while serving their customers. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JOB TRAINING AND PRODUCTIVITY AMONG EMPLOYEE NUR AIN BINTI ROSLAN Universiti Selangor [email protected] ABSTRACT This study investigates the correlation between job training and employee productivity. An organisation offers job training to equip employees for a new role or a new technology or system. Productivity assesses the efficiency with which an individual accomplishes a task and the effectiveness of producing goods and services. This study examines the impact of work training on employee productivity. This study employed a quantitative approach with a 5-point Likert scale ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Sampling method is purposive sampling. Online Google Form surveys were used for this study. Correlational data analysis reveals the relationship between work training and employee productivity. Employees demonstrate increased simplicity and efficiency in their work after involving in job training, as indicated by the study’s initial findings. This study seeks to establish the correlation between job training and employee productivity in order to assess the training efficacy. Keywords: Job Training, Productivity, Employee

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MOTIVATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AMONG EMPLOYEES RASSHWINI SHANMUGANATHAN Universiti Selangor : [email protected] ABSTRACT The study evaluated employee motivation and organisational commitment. A motivating work environment cultivates proficient employees with leadership, interpersonal, and other skills. Employees need to be motivated to excel. Employees in Malaysia’s competitive market need to adjust to legal changes and enhance engagement in all circumstances. The researcher employed a quantitative methodology to investigate workplace motivation and organisational commitment. The poll utilised the scientifically validated Situational Intrinsic Motivation Scale (SIMS) and the Organisation Commitment Scale (OCS) to measure work commitment. The researcher employed a quantitative methodology to investigate workplace motivation and organisational commitment. The study’s independent variable is motivation, and the dependent variable is organisational commitment. Section A includes profile demographics and employment experience, Section B includes motivation, and Section C includes organisational commitment. A preliminary investigation found good internal consistency among items using Cronbach’s alpha. The study will demonstrate the impact of employee motivation on work engagement. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OF ANXIETY AND JOB PERFORMANCE AMONG INDUSTRY WORKERS IN MALAYSIA NURUL AFIQAH BINTI MD MZLI Universiti Selangor [email protected] ABSTRACT Employees in an organisation are valued as a crucial asset due to their significant role in maintaining the sustainability and long-term development of the organisation. Prior research indicates that persons with anxiety disorders can lead to higher rates of absenteeism and worse work effectiveness among employees. Research in this sector is crucial to maintain optimal work performance among workers in Malaysia. This research aims to assess the anxiety levels and work performance of industrial workers in Malaysia, and explore the correlation between anxiety and work performance in this group. This study employed a quantitative approach. The data was gathered by a set of questionnaires that consisted of the anxiety subscale of the Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7), which has 7 items, and the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) scale. Questionnaires were sent to 200 industrial workers using the total sample approach, and the obtained data was evaluated using statistical relationship analysis. The data indicate a positive correlation between anxiety and work performance. Empowering employees by granting them the autonomy to make decisions and receive treatment aligned with their personal values. Keywords: Anxiety, Work Performance, Organizational.
