Summer Qamoum believes
we all are familiar with how
we operate and our behavior
styles, however we don’t
usually strive to understand
others and their styles.
The assessment focused on the positives
and negatives of each behavior style. It is
very important to accept the negative
and learn to improve your traits as you
begin to recognize them. This is a great
start to self-reflection and growth.
Summer Qamoum has previously held positions where she
did not understand her managers behavior, and it was
challenging at the start of a job to try and learn through
trial and error. It would be very beneficial for companies to
perform these assessments, specifically for their
management teams and share those with the team
members. Many of the DISC sections, such as the ways to
communicate, ways not to communicate, communication
tips, etc. would be beneficial to new team members who
have not learned through experience how to interact with
their managers.
