FOREWORD Landscape Exploration 2022/2023_Design Competition 8 This book is an outcome of substantial effort from young colleagues to share on their landscape exploration experiences. Begin with critical design process on paper, physical training and preparation towards real journey of natural landscape adventure, it shows a symbiosis of knowledge exploration in understanding of environmental design process. The design progress from multi-projects highlighted in this book illustrates the diversity of design opportunity in meeting the community needs and sustainable environmental objectives. Apart from that, the expedition shows the beauty of natural landscape and should be explored with high appreciation. This group of colleagues really enjoyed and translated their appreciation of the whole experience through publication of this book. I hope this book will be beneficial to all and encourage others to appreciate nature and landscape design for better healthy living. GS. DR. WAN YUSRYZAL BIN WAN IBRAHIM

UMMI'S AGRO FARM Landscape Exploration 2022/2023_Design Competition 10 PROJECT 1
Project of an Argo Farm This project is located in Bukit Merbau, Kelantan. It can be stated as a project that combine both modern and traditional elements as our clients' vision is to educate people on the ways of farming using new technology and to provide cultural experiences for visitors through creating Malaysia's kampung ambience. This project is meaningful in rising awareness and appreciation among users towards our country's culture, able to help users explore new planting methods and encourage people to plant more green in their respective environment. Hanis Amira Our story Nurul Syazwani Syaidatul Suhaida I am very excited and happy to be given the opportunity to participate in this competition. It teaches a lot of patience, perseverance, teamwork and leadership. Being in a good group also enables us to meet the needs and requirements of clients throughout producing the design. It yields very lucrative results when clients are happy with our design! Emerilya Ann "I would like to thank you for giving me this opportunity to deal directly with the client and this is the first time throughout my learning. Landscape Exploration 2022/2023_Design Competition Harivili It was such a pleasure working with real clients, since it's my first time experiencing real client. I learnt a lots of skills such as communication skills, team work, problem-solving and confidence. I believe it is a complete victory to be able to complete this project successfully with my team members. I believe that integrated design is really the key to achieving a return on investment for our clients and site performance. Even while we may occasionally believe that our designs are the ideal one, working with others and having discussion with clients have truly helped me see what the future of this profession as Landscape Architect holds. 39
Dhivya Nurul Bahriyah Our story Esmeralda Sasha Fazleen Nabila Landscape Exploration 2022/2023_Design Competition Nur Liyana "It is my first time dealing with a real client. Through this project I got to learn how to handle a project that meet the client's needs. I take pride in the result of our group's work as the client approved our design and use it on the real site. "I was fortunate enough to experience and learn a lot from this first client project that given to us as we get to explore many different sides of what goes into a project, the general process of how it is initially planned, developed and completed. It was one of the most memorable project that I have done!" I feel so honored to be part of this project. It gave me an exposure on how to deal with client, and how to find the solution to fit both ideas of our client and also the proposed design solution from us. I also personally happy that our client is very satisfied with our design. Other than that, I also improve my confidence and communication skills when I'm presenting in front of my client.
