Prof. B.S. Murty
Director, IIT Hyderabad
“Set your goals high and always dream big.
Because you are only as big as the dream, you dare to live”
The moment of leaving the Institute after spending a few years for a degree is full of mixed emotions for a student. It is a
time when one feels happy for finally becoming a graduate but at the same time feels sad for all the dear faces you have to
leave behind.
The year 2020 was the testing time for all of us and I am proud of all you who have proven what an IITian is capable of by
adapting to this changing scenario. Right from online classes to the online assessment, your tenacity is indeed admirable.
One should never stop learning but the things you have learned so far will always guide you towards a bright tomorrow.
Dedication you showed throughout your student life is unimaginable. There is no doubt that this dedication will take you
on to new heights in your life. Always keep up the dedication and sincerity and pursue your passion that gives you a life
of satisfaction. A graduate with a positive attitude is more valuable compared with a graduate with only good grades.
We had amazing memories with you like ELAN 2020, MILAN 2020, E-Summit 2020 and many other wonderful things to
recall. These events are indicative of the great work done by each you and would remain as fond memories in our minds
for many years to come. I thank each of you for having set the bar high for your juniors in all the events that you have
organised.
Those who have taken-up entrepreneurship, I urge you to keep your aim high and see that you become a source of
inspiration and employability of many others. Please remember a true growth lies in inclusive growth.
Always strive to be the best in whatever you do, without comparing yourself with anyone else. Be humble and let your
actions speak for you. I am sure that all of you will bring glory to IITH and keep its flag high wherever you go.
Let me wish you success in all your endeavours and that you lead a life of satisfaction.
STUDENT

their memories and piece of advice.

CULTURAL COUNCIL
The Campus life of us students is incomplete without the Cultural Events.
These events bring the entire Campus to life.
Be it grooving to the DJ while overdosing on Ice Cream on the Ice-Cream
nights or Showcasing your talents during Open Mics, there is one thing
that one can’t deny and that’s that these events bring with them a lot of fun
and happiness to all of us. These are events that most of us look forward
ato.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that these Days give us relief from all
the stresses that are built up Because of a multitude of reasons and enjoy to
our heart’s content.
Speaking of Cultural Events, one cannot forget about the various cultural
clubs that we have. One Simplify cannot forget things like Loud Music from
the Vibes members’ Practice sessions on the UDH stage, the enthusiastic
bunch inside the Dancing room, the passionate RDM members’ practice
sessions before any Cultural event, or the Fun Quizzes and Debates
conducted by Litsoc. We couldn’t have imagined our Campus life without
all these clubs and events. These events and clubs have played a huge part
in us making all the Friends we’ve made during our campus lives and gave
us these Special Memories that would go on to stay with us throughout our
lives.
INTER IIT CULTI
From their 1st year, the 2020 batch has been proving their excellence in all
the Inter IIT Cultural meet gaining experience and moving a step forward
every year. The late-night practices hoping for selection, train journeys,
convincing passengers to exchange their seats, roaming the campus of IIT
Bombay with a feeling of superiority, mustering up the courage to compete
with other IITs, the experience of performing on the big stage, getting close
to the juniors and seniors are memories that can never be forgotten.
SPORTS COUNCIL
Sports are one of the best ways to have fun with friends. It could be
Borrowing your friend’s Table tennis bat to play TT or occupying the
Football ground to Play Cricket and Football or Playing Basketball
and Volleyball late at nights. Playing these sports with buddies was a
great way to relax, have fun and also stay active and healthy.
At the same time, everyone trying their best to complete their NSS
hours with a lot of ‘jugaad’ made a lot of us come up with innovative
methods. Students trying their best to get into the Inter IIT team or
teams for other competitions like Milan induced a Lot of Competitive
spirit among us and also taught us the power of teamwork. This way
the Sports Activities too played a key role in shaping our years in the
Campus.
INTER IIT SPORTS
Inter IIT sports fest is like a dream true for many playing at such a
big stage. From making sports a habit to keep the body healthy, fit,
and refreshing to representing IIT Hyderabad the journey gives many
sweet memories. The endless effort of months in teams always will be
the most memorable days of one’s life. The journeys, interacting with
juniors, spending the final year of college in such a memorable way
will be an ever refreshing memory for all.
SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGICAL COUNCIL
Every esteemed university has its fair share of clubs dedicated to various fields, here is a
collection of clubs meant for those who wish to quench their thirst for knowledge.
SciTech is a unified organization of various technological clubs whose aim is to inculcate
scientific innovations to solve technological challenges faced in the real and virtual worlds
whilst also making the process fun and frolic. Many clubs fall under the wing of SciTech:
Robotix, Electronika, Cepheid, Aero Club, Kludge, Infero, Lambda, Torque, Epoch, and
Prakriti.
The platform where the SciTech clubs show off their talents and skills while bringing
recognition to the college is Inter IIT Tech Meet, the annual technological competition
organized by the IITs for the IITs. The batch of 2020 has made major contributions to
achievements in Inter IIT Tech Meet. In the previous Inter IIT, we bagged Silver medals
in Ashoka Challenge(Tech for Change), Bosch Rote Optimization Challenge, NeenOpal’s
Case Study, we also received a Bronze medal in Coding Hackathon. IIT-Hyderabad was
ranked 8th overall, this is an outstanding result!
Inter IIT Tech Meet 2019 was probably the best Tech Meet of IITH. The train journeys,
playing UNO, watching movies, last-minute presentations, low-cost food at IIT Roorkee
cafeteria, mail threads to reduce the prices in our cafeteria, etc, have a special place in our
hearts.
Let’s hear what Snehith, the Scitech secretary from the batch of 2020, has to say:
“Being a SciTech secy is not an easy job. You have to manage various clubs at the same time,
negotiate with professors for permissions and funding, prepare for Inter IIT Tech Meet,
and be the bridge between students and professors. It was a team effort to help people
come up with new ideas, initiatives, and to bring them to life which is a difficult task. But
what matters the most is that we have the freedom to learn something new every time.
I felt such great pride representing IITH at Inter IIT Tech Meet. Shouldering this
responsibility has taught me how to be a good leader, how to assess a situation and make
decisions. I will miss the support from the seniors and professors for the implementation of
our ideas and the development of the clubs. I would finally like to thank the coordinators,
cores, professors, my gymkhana team, the student community, and my dear friends who
helped and supported me in this wonderful journey. It was a beautiful experience with
SciTech!”
ELAN AND NVISION
Elan and Nvision - the annual techno-cultural fest is known for
bringing the best memories and fun for the students of IITH. The
fraternity of Elan and Nvision team( the organizing committee)
works together with the single minded ambition of providing the
whole university with the 3 best days of their life.
Their work ethics, ambitions and responsibilities set examples for the
other students. From saving up money to binge on the food stalls
to trying to look our best for the best pictures, we all undergo a
transformation. Elan and Nvision- the much needed break amidst
assignments and exams, the time of the year you feel the adrenaline
rush that boosts your energy for the year.
We all can safely say that’s the time of the year we feel alive. Seeing our
favourite stars up so close, banging our heads to the concert, dancing
till we can’t breathe anymore! Whoosh they constitute a tiny fraction
of the plethora of emotions that we go through every year. If we ever
decide to take a jog down the memory lane, Elan and Nvision would
feed our Nostalgia.
MILAN
Milan is the annual techno-cultural-sports general championship of
IIT Hyderabad. This event brings an emotional feel to the batch of
2020 for it being the first and last Milan the 2020 batch witness. This
event brought unity and healthy competitions among students of all
the blocks. Though Milan 2020 is the first edition, every student put
in their utmost thought and effort to represent their block and be the
best. Milan reminds hostel representatives of finding and convincing
people wandering through the blocks for participation. All of us, UG
or PG, experienced or not have come forward, united together and
proved their block is the best. Many of us have gone a step forward in
their personal interest or participated the first time, might be poetry,
fashion show, dance, film making what not. We got a glimpse into
the hidden creative talents people had while decorating the hostels.
From shirts and pajamas to models and costume designers and using
the weird properties given to us during costume designing gave us
really an everlasting experience. Late-night music practice at mess,
last-minute participation, face-painting, getting dressed up for
fashion shows though we know nothing about it, dance practices
in hostel blocks and so many beautiful memories filled our heart
with happiness. We always remember the students who were always
there only to cheer their block. Rallies of the blocks showing their
success are never to be forgotten. Milan 2020 holds a special place in
everybody’s heart.
My time at IITH has been the most exciting part of my life. The things I have
learnt, both inside and outside the class, have had a profound impact on me and
made me a better person. The institute and its people will always have a special
place in my life.
D Krupakar Reddy
Had a nice time. Made good friends. Explored my interests. Enjoyed playing
sports, football was my favorite. I am grateful to the professors and staff for
helping me pursue my interests. I would like to thank my friends and students
at IITH for inspiring me and for giving me a wonderful experience.
Sai Dhiraj Rampelli
“Four Years” Not just two words, those two words consist of lots of emotions, a
lot of pain and hard work, remarkable life. IIT Hyderabad is a place in which I will
never forget in my life. These four years at IITH are the best in my life. Friends,
Career. I learned about the concept called “LIFE” here only. Friends: II T Hyd. Gave
friends whom I never leave, and they never leave me.
Shanmukha Rao

All I had was mixed feelings. From not liking the college as it was only in the
beginning phases when I first joined, to loving the college so much that I still want
to be in college. I’m not sure when it happened, but it became a Home to me and
I’ll miss my home.
Pamula Bhargav Ram
Joining clubs, late-night walks, exploring ODF premises, 20-25 minutes bus
trips between Kandi & ODF, Icecream & DJ nights, Student gymkhana elections,
experience in IITH-Racing team, CB for dinner on Sundays, IPL screenings,
ELAN & Nvision fests, NSS activities, asking classmates for assignments,
group-study preparation & seating arrangements for exams.
Kota Akshar
4 years filled with unforgettable moments. Moments I enjoyed, I suffered.
Moments which taught me a lot about life. Most memorable incident for me
would probably be shifting from ODF to Kandi, which began in disappointment
but ended in such a sweet and happy manner.

I spent four years trying to run away from home and now I’m back to my high
school bedroom : a new Disney original movie

II TH a beautiful place and my home for 4 years. It gave me a beautiful life
which I can never have again In my life. have learnt a lot of things from IITH and
fraternity.. .Most importantly my friends who made my life in IITH awesome
and memorable... Those late night walks, roaming all around The campus with
them were amazing times I would say. Had a great time being part of inter iit
sports meet for 3 years and with one time singing experience.I’m so blessed to
be part of iith. Thanks for all the love and support IITH....Gonna miss you and
my amigos !!
Ajmeera Swarna Naik
My experience? It has been quite an adventure. I miss everything about II TH,
my second home. Being a part of the dance club, I gained confidence, made new
friends and memories. It may sound cliche but I really evolved as a person through
my experiences at IITH.
Keerthi
It’s hard to believe that from now there won’t be any Dj-Ice cream nights, Zam
Zam ka biryani, weekend funfilled CA’s, working for ELAN fest, late-night walks,
swimming pool, exam preparations..... I can’t believe how quickly time passes. See
you soon, IITH!
Siripuram Sai Bharadwaj
To all the faculty who were not adamant on our attendance, To all the friends
who helped me transform from a boy to a learned man, To all the staff who
solved our issues immediately, You all have a significant impact on each decision
I take in life. Thank You :)
Pradyumna M Dinni
Akash Kolte I feel I have been very lucky that I did my BTech in IIT Hyderabad, not becoz of
the II T tag but becoz of the friends which I earned . I really want now to thank
my friends for being the light of my life, they stood with me in my ups and downs.
For the incomparable love, care, support and trust we had between us. We all had
our moments and you guys really made me feel special. The most invaluable assets
I have earned during 4yrs of stay at IIT Hyderabad is you friendship. I won’t say
anything else about our college, becoz we all know its the best in the country. I will
end by saying that these 4 years which I spent with you guys were the most
beautiful years of my life, and the memories which we had together, I will
cherish them forever.
My BTECH is insignificant without Team IITH RACING. We design and manufacture
AT V’s for student racing competitions. I had a chance to attend 5 professional
competitions. We worked very hard, sometimes we used to have restless nights
in ODF (even in 2019) just to work. Lessons learned are ‘to have faith in team
members’ and ‘to have compassion’.
Jadi Radha Krishna
I have made memories for life in college. I met new people, learnt a lot from
them, and found another family in the form of my friends. These have been
some of the best years of my life . Honestly, it has been quite a thrilling journey.
Janmejay D. Kulkarni
College, for me was full of exploration. A ride passing via all stations of study, sports
and culture. Going through Magic highs and depressing lows. Passengers onboard
became family. This train was my best journey, now onboard for the next ride.
Madhur Gupta
Thumati Ujjieve The experience is one of a kind. I cherished the moment playing CSGO, PUBG
with my pod mates during lunch breaks. I enjoyed the time playing Volleyball and
Cricket at midnight even during placement times. My pod mates used to go to
ZamZam almost 3 times per week to eat Biryani. If it was not possible to go then
we used to order from swiggy or other means. I like the mess food especially during
sundays when we used to get unlimited Chicken Biryani in my 1st and 2nd years.
The atmosphere of ODF was peaceful and great. We also used to go to vantillu to
eat different types of puloa and tried every single one of them. Even during
some serious times like during exams and placement we pod mates always
enjoyed and had fun times. The experience was awesome and would never
forget about it.
I still remember the day I got II TH during my counselling. I was excited
and nervous at the same time as for the first time I was going this far from
my home. Now, when I look back at the days spent at IITH, I find these to
be the most beautiful days I could have had. I met some the most smart and
hardworking people here and made few friends for life. So much learning, so
many experiences and millions of memories to cherish.
Mohammad Ayaz
Whenever I think about II TH, it humbles me and fills me with gratitude for what
it has given me. I met many great people and developed Life long friendships with
them. Although I broke my left knee while playing volleyball, but the good things
outweighed that little pain :). II TH changed me from aggressive and naive to
humble and mature person. It changed the way I looked at world. I learnt that
people and relationships are more important than grades.

One of the most interesting stages in life that gives you an opportunity to explore
is the ?college phase.? Life at college is the time when the teenage years end and
we all dive deep into the ocean of new beginnings and possibilities. This golden
period better equips you for all the challenges you?ll face in life and creates a
strong foundation of knowledge. My experience at IIT HYDERABAD has taught
me one fundamental thing ? life is unpredictable. It might be good, it might be bad,
it might be weird, and it might not interest you, but expect anything to happen.
For example, you might have a wonderful job this moment, and be fired the
very next moment. College life prepares you for all of this. It is a perfect
Vineesh Kumar Singh blend of joy and hardships. It was wonderful time of my Life till now. I will
surely miss.
I had quite a roller coaster kind of experience. I had ups and downs of my life,
times of pleasure and happiness, sadness, joy, triumph, and depression, which
I’ll cherish forever. It is a mini version of life packed into four wholesome years
with a fairy-tale twist, turns, and ending.

The last four years at IITH have been the most impactful ones I have had in my
life. I changed for the better because of the many many things that I have seen
and experienced, because of the people I met, and most of all, because of the
environmnent that enabled it all. My time at IITH had its ups and downs but I
wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

The experiences I had in II TH will always stay close to my heart. From last-minute
assignment submission to the late-night walks are my precious memories. Most
importantly, I miss the campus and its environment. I want to thank my friends,
my seniors, my teachers who have taught me not just academics but precious life
lessons.

It is one of my best experience till now. My journey with the college started
in ODF and ended in Kandi. There were many joyful and hardship moments.
Every experience made me a better person. Miss that freedom and late-night
discussions.

Its been an incredible journey for the last four years. The people I met here are
impressive and crazy, and their friendship is something I would cherish all my life.
It is the memories that we made here, which will last forever and keep us connected
to this place.

Hi friends, This has been an amazing and an exhilarating journey. So many wonderful
memories, starting from days at ODF with many first bus(8AM) adventures to
multiple endless nights of Pod games and ripostes between us. From our first year
to very last day in March, wherever we had gone, we were always as a group be it
dining, classes or anywhere... I’ll cherish these all through my life and finally sign-
off by a quote of John Lennon “Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.?

4 years huh it’s been a roller coaster ride and badminton people played the
important role. Those pod moments with friends , representing the college
team and leading them all those memories I will cherish my entire life though
I can’t still believe that we completed our last moments like this but I am sure
we will make most it when this ends. I will miss my college. And I will be proud
of myself for captaining the badminton college team for 2 years and winning
milan tournament

Our college Experience is a series of images they pass us by like towns on the
highway. but sometimes, a moment stuns us as it happens. we know that this
instant is more than a fleeting image and the memories we carry through are like
the shadow which follows us all the time and those memories, every part of them,
will live on forever
P Vivek Vardhan
As a tiny caterpillar I came to IITH, as a butterfly I left, ready to face the world.
IITH is the pupa in which I grew my wings. I learnt how to face real challenges in
life. I became independent. I met amazing people and made friends for life. I made
countless memories that live in my heart. It took me 4 years and 1 degree to realize,
that H stands for Home.
Sudhanshu Chawhan
Between longing for “Ghar ka khana” and “Next sem ache se karenge”, I found
my support systems who would not only manage my proxy and get me food
from a cafe on lazy days but leave no opportunity to humiliate me in front
of professors. The countless memories that one could make in just 3 days of
Elan&Nvision every year never fails to surprise me. Real happiness was hidden

From my dad saying “You worked for this? Let’s go join other college” looking at odf
and deserted Kandi camous to “Campus is great, sad that you have to leave now”
everything worked out. I wish I can go back and tell my confused post JEE self and
worried single girl in Mechanical that all those regretted choices will at last give
not just a satisfied but a complete experience and a happy end.

From ODF to Kandi, mess to night-canteen, early morning walks to night Nescafe
talks, strangers to friends, projects to quizzes, internship rejections to happy
placements - been a wonderful phase. I think I have made amazing memories here
and now have a better past to think about. To anyone reading this, May the force
be with you!
Samhitha Khatravath
What can I say about IITH? I laughed. I cried. I fought. It was fun. This college
gave me my 3 idiots and yes, Woohoo! We made it! Thank you each and every
person who has been a part of my life for all the great life lessons. I’m outta
here!
Malkajgiri Bhavya
I’ve learnt life here, at least some of it.
Pramudit Tripathi
IITH will hold several fond memories, from the spicy Hyderabadi style dhabas
around campus to the academic freedom granted students allowing me to explore
my interests in Mathematics and eventually switch career paths, and the lengthy
drawn out lazing away in friends rooms on many a hot summer eve.
Karthik R
II TH has given me more cherish-able moments. I feel more independent, confident, R Karthick Paramesh
and secure when I’m inside the campus than in my home. College is about learning by
making many contacts; otherwise, it’ll be equivalent to an online certification program.
The number of people I met, the memories and experience I gained from the diverse
people can’t be achieved by any other means. I have learned the least expected things
I thought I would learn, like never in my wildest dreams I thought I’ll learn Kathak,
flamenco dance, etc. and change my career in entirely different stream. Speaking of
college life, the common in all my peer’s experiences will be about ‘friends’(Not the T V
series). The memories we share, the things we learn, the difficulties we overcome, and
the crazy things we do were all team effort with our dearest friends, and we can all
agree on that right!
My journey at IIT Hyderabad was full of ups-and-downs. But the one theme that
remained constant throughout was me living my dreams and following my passion.
I was never afraid to go against the tide and this attitude helped me explore and
understand myself. In the end of it all, I have only emerged stronger. I have made
friends for life at IIT Hyderabad. Looking back only makes me realise how blissful
those days in the company of fantastic people! You only live once, but if you do it
right, once is enough.
Piyush Udhan
Life at IITH was definitely a roller-coaster. These four years are and will remain
some of the most memorable years of my life. I found a bunch of great friends
who has been with me throughout my highs and lows, and had great mentors who
guided me throughout the journey.

“Life is a beautiful dream, we just need to imagine it in the right way” :) IITH
being a part of my dream gave me a chance to meet some exceptional friends/
professors who have all different perspectives toward life. Getting into IITH gave
me an immense opportunity in almost all diverse fields, and believe me as every
semester goes by you will have a little feeling of regret as many things will catch
your attention during this wonderful journey. Time flies so fast. The feeling that
you get when you enter on the first day on campus and the moment when you need
to wrap all your stuff to step out of this renowned institute are the feelings
that will last forever in your heart. So make that feeling count.

It’s been an awesome experience, starting college life with a beautiful &
peaceful ODF campus, bus trips to Kandi, then the single & private Kandi
hostels, late-night assignment submissions, projects, and most importantly the
lab reports..and CORONA climax is quite unexpected and disappointing. Miss u
IIT Hyderabad.

Life at IITH has taught me that failure is an integral part of the learning process
and I should not underestimate my mettle. It has given me people who I can always
rely on. I will miss all those amazing moments I spent with them that now turned
into memories.

Life at IITH was easy and challenging at the same time. I’m glad that I’ve got to
share the campus with some beautiful hearts and brilliant minds. A big shout-out

moments more memorable

II TH has been a thrilling roller-coaster ride of emotions, learning, experiences,
and camaraderie, which was periodically punctuated by last-minute assignment &
project submissions, exam preparations, and ever-changing senate rules that only
the Acad section seemed to be privy to. My journey at IITH has shaped me into
who I am today, and my time here, I shall look back on and cherish, as long as my
heartbeats.

Lots of memories to cherish when I look back at my time at college. Those late-

mornings for Dosa. Awesome concerts and other memorable events in ELAN.
Thank you IITH for everything.

Under the moonlit sky, Waited for the end of July,
The last minute assignments To start a new semester afresh
And manchurian dry, With a “”phod dega tera bhai””.
Somehow still ended up with good jobs
The class presentations that
Made us laugh till we cry Placement cell can verify
The campus was great There were fights which we resolved
Mess food even better, In just one try,
Had to satisfy late night cravings
With a Maggi noodle platter. Pulled each others legs
We showed up at Elan But still had a strong tie
With a hella’ lot of swagger Remember the fake profile from which
Met a campus princess Our friend never got a reply?
But never saw her later Alas, now we remember these memories
With a deep sigh!”
IIT Hyderabad, even though I stumbled upon it out of nowhere it was the best
thing that happened to me. In all the small and big moments there was learning.
These four years have made me stronger and more sensible than I once was. And
of course, the best part of all of college life is still “My Friends”.
Anandita Bendigeri
It’s very hard to express my IITH experiences in a few sentences. For me, It was
just perfect campus life. Without my friends, my seniors, and my lovely juniors it
wouldn’t be possible. I’m blessed to have you guys in my wonderful IITH Journey.
I can’t forget those night walks with my friends, Dancing tirelessly on DJ Nights,
Hutiyapas in InterII T, Late night Maggi, giving proxies to each other, and especially
that Night Out when we took the lift in a truck and went Ram ki Bandi, at 3 am. I
still cherish those evergreen moments.

College life at II TH was the best experience I ever had and I doubt there will
be anything similar in the future. I will always cherish all the memories I made
with my friends while playing games together all night or having tea with them
in the evening or just simply hanging out together. It is these little things that
I will miss forever.

Before entering campus I was like a frog in the well. I’m happy that I got good
friends, without them I’m nothing. The time period i travelled at IITH was totally
different. Finally i came out with a bag of beautiful memories and happiness.

. The last 4-years of my life at IIT-H has played a pivotal role in transforming
myself both professionally and personally. There were a lot of memories which
were made. Those late-night brainstorming sessions, spooky late-night walks
in ODF, playing pod cricket at odd hours, last-minute rush for exams and
assignments, late-night biryanis at kings/Zamzam, choosing some very easy
courses just for the sake of a grade. It was an enriching experience overall, and
I’m glad that I’ve been part of this amazing journey we all had together

The journey through the 4 years at II TH was indeed a memorable one. It was
filled with all kinds of emotions and will always be an integral part of my life. I
have now moved on to start a new journey but this one at IITH will always be
remembered!

I made many great and unforgettable memories in my 4 years, you can find some
amazing characters around you in college, one of the best experiences I can share
is performing on a big stage and representing our colleges, which I am going to
miss a lot.

The four years I spent in IITH have sure been the best four years of my life. I got to
learn many things and I changed a lot as a person. All credit goes to our Marathi
group with whom I spent most of the time. I will really miss being with them. If a
time machine ever gets invented, I would like to go back to ODF and spend these
four years again. Also thanks a lot EP guys. I don’t think that any college in the
world would ever get people who are as like-minded and united as we were!
Ketan Iyengar
These four years at IITH will remain as the best part of my life. Before coming
here, I was that shy boy who was always hesitant to talk to anyone. But this
campus shaped me into a man who can now speak and express his views to
anyone without any fear. It gave us a lot of freedom academically and personally
to pursue our respective areas of interest. I am really proud to be associated
with the family of IITH.

The past 4 years have been unforgettable and the most memorable time of my
life. The experience you get when you make friends who speak different languages
and later when you get adept at these languages were fruitful. Late night walks,
volleyball, football, movies and computer games with friends were entertaining.
My second year at ODF when half the people had shifted to Kandi had a very calm
atmosphere and I miss that. The most exciting nights would be the ones that had
an assignment deadline at midnight. “Miss that too LOL :)”

The four-year-long beautiful journey has come to an end. Though this journey’s
ending is not justified, the journey is worth every second—that taught me a life
beyond materialistic benefits and recognition. Sailing through the voyage, I had
an opportunity to experience some of the best memories. I have enjoyed each
moment in college, from watching late-night movies with friends to handling
events being in a position of responsibility. I have experienced failures and,
more importantly, learned to overcome it. Every day, I still wake up trying to
decide if I have to attend the 9 o’clock class; however, realizing this phase has
ended, I move on to the next chapter of life.

My experience at II T Hyderabad has been life-changing. l practically grew up
in this college from a teenager to a responsible adult. My college life taught me
important life lessons, helped me make new friends and ultimately made me a
better human being. There was the competitive first year, the overconfident
second year, the nervous third year and finally the uncertain fourth year. Overall it
was an adventure of its kind.

A journey from a girl to a woman, an anxious to a composed person, many
experiences and people paved way for my wonderful yet meaningful life here. I am
grateful for all the happiness and hardships I faced here, for those made me who I
am today.

My last 4 years of journey, in a nutshell, was a wonderful one, Met some of
the smartest brains of the country, got new friends, made sweet and bitter
memories, learnt a lot. I literally laugh when remembering the incidents that
happened in my first years, IITH has transformed me so much. I am extremely
thankful for the people I met here and hope we stay connected for the rest of
life, maybe that’s why we didn’t have a chance to say goodbye...

From never having touched the hockey stick to leading the Institute Hockey Team.
From never having played any video game to having more than three thousand
hours on CSGO. Going out to parties with friends, preparing for the exam one night
before the exam, submitting the assignments a minute before the deadline, it has
been a surreal experience in IITH with a lot of ups and downs. Cheers to seniors,
juniors and fellow colleagues for making these 4 years memorable!

My experience at IIT Hyderabad has taught me one fundamental thing – life is
unpredictable. It might be good, it might be bad, it might be weird, and it might
not interest you, but expect anything to happen. College life prepared me for
all of this. It is a perfect blend of joy and hardships. Being a student, Being a
Fresher, being a Junior, being a Senior, being a very good friend, and whatnot,
it was a wonderful experience.

Grandhe Sumanth Kumar To start with my experience at IITH, I came to college to report my documents and I was a little disappointed with the look of the
campus. Anyway, I came to know that it’s not the campus that kept me happy. I am proud to say I’ve met my friends forever in IITH.
Starting college life at ODF which I would say was completely new to many newcomers because nobody would have at least stayed
in such a “cool” place before coming to IITH. Those journeys for class, the walks after food, the night canteen, late-night discussions
were great memories for sure. One unforgettable thing from my first year was I attended a DAC meeting (not that I cheated!!)
because of a surprise quiz (can you believe it!). Though it was a sad thing, I consider that as a crazy memory because hardly anyone
gets a chance like that :)).ÿComing to the Kandi hostel, I felt like wow, cool rooms, one per room. Great! (later hated that facility).
Slowly got attached to dhabas for food. Increase in the number of friends. Many activities, city visits, great time with classes, and
friends.ÿComing to the third year, I started to hear the word “Internship” and I was scared coz no bit of coding knowledge, no core
knowledge gained (thanks to fractal academics). Failed a lot of screening rounds and gave 1/2 interviews which also lasted with
bitter outcomes. Finally(you think I got one, right?) without any internship experience I entered the 7th semester, the most crucial
one for any UG student, and started my preparation with the help of seniors (one of the best things we get in college life). Yes! No
other thoughts till placements. I only concentrated on my preparation. Placements have come, I was a bit nervous on Day 0 waiting
for a call from the interviewer with my extra loaded resume. Got rejected in 4 interviews one after the other. EOD I felt exhausted
but didn’t give up, I edited my resume with whatever I was confident. Boom, the first interview the next day I got selected for JIO
as SDE. Thus I was able to cross the major milestone. Now the plans began as everyone around me also got placed and was ready
to give a kick-off start to the last semester. We enjoyed the time we had to the fullest. You know unfortunate things happen in life.
We were at the edge of the execution of all farewell events planned but glad some of them happened online at least. Waiting for
everything to get back to normal and a great convocation.
My life at IITH revolved hugely around football. The four INTER IIT sports meets
I participated in, gave me a sense of purpose. The nights spent playing CS GO with
my friends in a single room in ODF;the nights in Kandi, spent with my buddies
doing an array of activities, linger in my mind. Somehow every interesting thing
happened in the latter half of the day.
