Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary

Location: Nong Dern Sub-district, Bung Khla District, Bung Kan
Province

The Sanctuary covers an area of 186. 5 square
kilometers covering the area in Bueng Kan district, Bung
Khla district, Seka district, and Bueng Khong Long district,
which is almost attached to the border of the Lao
People’s Democratic Republic. The Sanctuary composes
of deciduous dipterocarp, dry evergreen, and tropical and
tropical evergreen rain forests with partial sandstone
mountain ridges, stone yard, and grass field.

Cha Naen waterfall

Location: Nong Dern Sub-district, Bung Khla District, Bung Kan
Province

Cha Naen waterfall is a large and beautiful
waterfall, it has water only rainy season. Furthermore,
there is a stone bridge, it’ s a natural phenomenon that
the water run through underneath the 100 meters reef
and there is also an enormous crocodile lake located
above waterfall. There is wide sandy area for camping.

Tham Phoon waterfall

Location: Nong Dern Sub-district, Bung Khla District, Bung Kan
Province

Tham Phoon waterfall is called by the dusty
surroundings, there is a buddha statue inside the cave
and pilgrimage monk to practice the dharma. Moreover,
there are others attractions like, cave, rock shed, so on.

Sida Beach

Location: Nong Dern Sub-district, Bung Khla District, Bung Kan
Province

Sida beach is sand beach caused by Mekong River
in January until April. Across Sida beach is Pakkading
district Laos PDR, can see two mountains separated from
each other called, “ Hellfire pass” . There is a Songkran
festival every year at Sida beach, people are enjoying
splashing water to each other.

rain if parade the standing Buddha image, then in
Songkran day people will take standing Buddha image to
parade.

Buddha’s Footprint Wern Pla
Location: Ban wernpla, wernphrabat Sub-district Tha Uthen

District, Nakhon Phanom Province

Located in Wat Phra Bat Wern Pla appears on the
small rock Mekong river called “ Don Phrabat” , it will
appear in drought season and very sharp around April of
every year. There is Buddha’s footprint wern pla worship
festival for people and tourists to pray respect to for their
luck.

The Third Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge View Point

Location: Samat Sub-district, Muang Nakhon Phanom District,
Nakhon Phanom Province

The third view point Thai- Lao friendship bridge is
connected between Thai ( Nakhon Phanom) and Lao
(Khammouan), this bridge is very fine one and in the back
you can see scenery of limestone mountains are well-
arranged. Beneath the bridge, there is sightseeing that can
see the bridge scenery from the bottom of the bridge.
Take a walk and enjoy watching sunset.

Phaya Sri Sattanaga Statue

Location: Sri Sattanagaraja yard Muang Nakhon Phanom District,
Nakhon Phanom Province

Phaya Sri Sattanaka statue is Nakhon Phanom
latest landmark enshrined on the edge of Mekong River.
Phaya Sri Sattanaka statue is the greatest golden Naga in
northeast, it has 7 heads in one body. If someone pray or
take an oath to Phaya Sri Sattanagaraja may achieve
because it is sacred.

Nakhon Phanom Museum

Location: Mekong River Rd. Muang Nakhon Phanom District,
Nakhon Phanom Province

The building is used to be a place where his
Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej stayed when proceeding
Nakhon phanom. It has been designed in western colonial
style, which influenced by France in the time of the
Indochina Wars. Nowadays, the building is registered as
historic site by Fine Art department and became an
official museum for Nakhon Phanom.

Saint Anna church

Location: Mekong River Rd. Muang Nakhon Phanom District,
Nakhon Phanom Province

Saint Anna church is an ancient church in Nakhon
Phanom established in 1926. The church is a dual tower
with a grand spike on top. It’ s easy to sight from a
distance. Saint Anna church is a symbol of the town with
diversified races, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Laos, for
instance.

Pra Tiw Pra Tiem, Wat O-kads

Location: Wat O-kads, Muang Nakhon Phanom District, Nakhon
Phanom Province

Wat O- kads or Wat O- kads Sri buaban is Nakhon
Phanom is respectable temple, in the center of the
temple has a tower that enshrined the statue of Pra Tiw
Pra Tiem. Pra Tiw made from wood padded with gold and
Pra Tiem covered with gold foil. Inside Buddhist sanctuary
also has fine paintings.

Keang Ka Bao

Location: Ban Na Kae Noi, Pongkam Sub-district, Wanyai
District, Mukdahan Province

Keang Ka Bao is long stone rapids along Mekong
River, there is stone yard on the riverbank to sit and relax.

of rapid and nice shore with all services like,

Wat Manopirom

Location: Wanyai District, Mukdahan Province

Wat Manopirom is an ancient temple constructed
by Vientiane architect. Inside the temple has old Sim
(e-san ancient hall) mixing Vientiane style and also Vietnam
style. Inside placed the attitude of subduing Mara statue
with Naga over his head. Spectacular staircase is also
antique and beautiful.

Location: Wanyai District, Mukdahan Province

Wat Si Maha Pho is an ancient temple for a
decade. In the temple has old Sim ( e- san ancient hall),
mixing arts between Thai, Vietnam, France and consisted
of 3 side walls with story of Gautama Buddha.
Furthermore, the temple has an ancient monk’ s house
that turned to public library built by Vietnamese in France
architecture style.

Wat Songkhon-Catholic

Location: Wanyai District, Mukdahan Province

Catholic church built in modern architecture style,
which is the most attractive and biggest church in South
East Asia. The church is a single square hall and built with
reinforced concrete, the wall made of glass. The church
received best architecture award from Association of
Siamese Architects.

Located at Sumranchaikong rd. in Muang Mukdahan,

Two Goddess Sisters Shine

Location: Sumranchaikong rd. Muang Mukdahan District,
Mukdahan Province

This place is regarded as sacred place for
Mukdahan people. There is a tell about two sisters from
Laos coast, traveling by a boat aimed to cross to
Mukdahan, unfortunately the boat was crashed and both
are died. The shrine has been built after that, every year
in May there is a sacrifice ceremony.

Kaewmukdahan Tower

Location: Muang Mukdahan District, Mukdahan Province

Kaewmukdahan Tower is a cylinder tower, 65. 50
meter height. At the peak has Mukdahan marble ball, a
white cloud circle produced by Germany. For the
convenience, elevator and escalator are provided. In
additional, not only the sight of Mukdahan city can be
seen in birds- 'eye view but also Kuntabuly Savannakhet
district Lao PDR (Lao People's Democratic Republic).

Pumanorom Lord Buddha

Up above Pumanorom is a place where Buddha
footprint settled. Now constructing Kaew Mukda Sri Tri
Rad Lord Buddha and it is Mukdahan sightseeing, also can
catch a sight of second Thai- Lao friendship bridge

Wat Matchimawat

Location: Dontan Sub-district, Dontan District, Mukdahan
province

It’s an ancient temple and a place to keep a grand
ancient metal drum, which the greatest metal drum in
Thailand. Sim ( E- san Buddhist temple) is also can be
found all over the temple.

Location: Ban nongmek, Pa rai Sub-district, Dontan District,
Mukdahan province

Pu Sa Dok Bua National Park is on a joint line of 3
provinces, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen. It has
abundantly natural forest and natural beauty differences.
The tourists can hike up to the top of the mountain to
catch the spectacular scenery like miraculous reef and
