Reference: EAC Schemes and Roadmaps for Their Development, THE INTERNATIONAL REC STANDARD FOUNDATION, SEPTEMBER 2020 REGISTRANT PARTICIPANT A Registrant is the only party that can register a production device with the local Issuer and requests the issuance of I-REC(E). Production device owners or entities acting on their behalf must register as a ‘registrant’ with the Issuer that is responsible for the issuance of I-REC(E) in the relevant country. A Participant is a Market Player, trader, or consumer with an account on the Registry of the Code Manager. They may redeem certificates on their behalf, or behalf of their clients and can trade certificates from their primary account to the primary account of another market player. Registrant Registration Production Facility Registration REC Issuance •Verify the identity and credibility of legal entities through the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulations. Documents 1.I-REC(E) Registrant Application Form 2.Standard Term and Condition for Registration and Issuing (STC) 3.Relevant Supporting Documents (e.g., a company registration document, a copy of a valid passport of the primary individual representing or serving as the registrant, the latest company accounts or financial report) Timeframe: 3-4 Weeks •Verify all relevant details of the production facility to establish the eligibility, configuration, operation, ownership, or attribute rights of the Production Facility. •Pre-check project registrations under other standards to be aware of double counting verification Documents 1.Production Facility Registration Form 2.Owner’s Declaration (Required if the Registrant is not the owner of the production facility) 3.Relevant Supporting Documents (e.g., PPA, project photos, SLD, evidence of measured volume of electricity produced/purchased such as meter reading report/inverter API, settlement invoice) Timeframe: 3-4 Weeks Verify electricity production of the production facility to establish the eligibility, configuration, operation, ownership, or attribute rights of the Production Facility. Double counting verification under other standards for which the I-REC(E) Issuance is requested. Documents 1. I-REC(E) Issue Request Form 2. Evidence of measured volume of electricity produced/purchased such as meter reading report/inverter API, settlement invoice during the period for which the I-REC(E) Issuance is requested. 3.
