We have been working with civil servants, UKAS and various

speaking, we welcome the changes. However we do continue
to express our concerns regarding enforcement. Given the
reduction of the litter threshold, some local authorities will
need to licence ten times the number of breeders than they
do currently – and when similar changes to regulations were
made in Wales, this simply did not happen due to their lack of
resources.

As a result we have been calling on Government to ensure

Sigurd
A judge and exhibitor’s view

This started as an interview with Sigurd Wilberg,
I had this idea of a one off article with insight into the man himself. Well I
certainly got that and a lot more to boot. Indeed I found myself enthralled
by the several rewrites he sent me each one full of information. Eventually
the last draft was settled on and with it the news that he would be prepared

to write for us in future issues.
How can anyone introduce a man who is so well know in the show world, if
you did not know him before, when you have read this you will feel you will
