Coach Lore n Gammon looks approvingly at Radik 's
score card after Emi I won the city match.

Coach Gammon's golf team wound up the season,
May 30, with a four-won, two-lost, record for third
place in the Inte rcity League.

The ir onl y losses came from Prep a nd Central,
who finished one and two, respecti ve ly, in the lnter-
city.

Em i l Radik captured fi rst p lace in the Missouri
Va ll ey meda list tournament, shooting a 76. He also
took first in the Intercity tournament, wi th a 70.

On ly Radik and Scott Eidson will graduate. John
Sorenso n , A l Ludwig , J ohn Yankovich, J oe Gushard ,
Jim Dwora k, and J ohn Radi k wi ll be back on the
greens next year .

BACCAlAURlAll

The Baccalaureate service was held Sunday, June 3, 1951, at
Technical High School at 5 P.M. The guest speakers for the evening
were Dr. A.H. Pinkall of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and The Very
Rev. Carl M. Reinert, president of Creighton University. James Mc-
Camley, a member of the class played the processional, "Pomp and
Circumstance" on the organ. Special musicwas provided by the Senior
Prep Girls, directed by Miss Mabel Shipherd and accompanied by Mrs.
Frank Raska. Their numbers were "TakeMy Hand, Precious Lord," and
"There is a Green Hill Far Away."

The final gathering of the 1951 graduating class was held June G,
1951, at Technical High School. The invocation was given by Dr.
George S. Bancroft of Wheeler Memorial Presbyterian Churc h followed
by "The Lord's Prayer" sung by the A Cappel la Choir.

Joan Fiala spoke on "The Chai lenge 1951," and David Rowe's
topic was "Tommorow's Victory. "

"Ode to America," theme of the commencement, was sung by
the A Cappello Choir. Presentation of awards was made by Mr. L.R.
Hill assistant principal.
