Our ?:own Shows the

Trivia of Our Lives

On February 21 and 22, South High School pre-
sented Thornton Wilder's OUR TOWN.

The cast did a great job in making the play a suc-
cess. The story of OUR TOWN was of life itself, ex-
pressing sad, happy and foolish feelings.

Professor Willard, Tom Johnson, gives the
stage manager, John Svagera, the back-
ground material ofOUR TOWN.

"I think the moon's getting nearer and nearer and there'll be a big 'splosion."

On March 14-15, the senior class perform-
ed the hilarious Shakespearean play, THE
COMEDY OF ERRORS. This was considered
to be William Shakespeare's first play, written
somewhere between 1592 to 1594.

Two of South's English teachers, Mr.
Biggs and Mrs. Goodman, were the directors
of the performance.

"Hey man! Watch those feathers! They tickle!"

"I see two husbands,
or my eyes deceive me!"

Is t Loverly'

"My Fair Lady became one of those
rare momen ts when everything was 'lover-
ly'," stated Roland Hinrichs, head of the
Music Department.

Mrs. Clara Ross and Mr. Robert Hahn,
along with Mr. Hinrichs, felt that without
the efforts of all the students on stage, in
the pit, and behind the scenes, the musical
would not have been a success.

"I've grown accustomed to her face."

I

"Here we are at trackside. "

"All I want is a room somewhere."
