BLUELINE Architects - INTERIORS BROCHURE

BLUELINE Architects - INTERIORS BROCHURE

Blueline celebrates over 15 years of architecture and traces a lifelong journey of exploration and discovery - a journey that is
illustrated in these pages. Blueline has been blessed the past decade and a half by continually growing, broadening and
expanding our horizon and becoming a significant player in corporate and office interior design.

We believe that our firm has been blessed in both the clients that chose to work alongside us and the opportunities that were
presented to pursue our dreams and produce the type of significant architecture shown herein. Our journey allowed us to
meet clients with courage to believe that, given a chance, Blueline would meet its promise and deliver.

As you review this publication, we hope that it will become evident, as our clients entrusted us with increasingly significant
design opportunities, we more than exceeded those expectations while growing both creatively and spiritually.
The works presented herein serves as a testament that good design comes from the collaborative process that can develop
between clients and design architects. In this respect we have been exceptionally fortunate in the clients we have partnered
with over the years. Together we have worked to stretch the limits of architectural design and innovation and help our clients
realize their vision.

Our client-centric orientation allows us to excel at building relationships and enables our firm to solve design issues in a
logical, yet highly creative, way. By focusing on our clients’ vision, we have built many long-lasting relationships across the
country that have resulted in repeat commissions and enabled us to have profound and positive impacts on our client’s
operations and growth.

INTERIORS

LEGGE FARROW, McGRATH & BROWN, LLP
HOUSTON, TEXAS

Here a relaxed, tranquil, casual aesthetic abounds. Client
meeting rooms, framed by woodgrain joinery portals and doors,
are supported by a large break-out space. Perfect for functions.
On the remaining floor, where staff work day-to-day, the firm
undertook a cultural shift which saw Legge Farrow’s team move
from a traditional cellular office floor plate to a predominately
open plan workspace. Shared access to daylight offers views to
west Houston. We engaged with the partnership from an early
stage, gaining their trust and confidence in the proposed design
outcome. It is fair to say we surpassed their expectations and
with staff embracing the new workplace.

Client’s Mission:
Entrepreneurial. Creative. Collaborative.
A global law firm with deep, sector-focused expertise.

BRAZOS VALLEY SCHOOLS CREDIT UNION
KATY, TEXAS

After analyzing Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union’s varying
needs, Blueline translated these ideas into a strategically sized
branch to serve Standard Branch Markets. This proto-type
branch is consistently modern, progressive, and inviting to
support the updated service model and reflect the bank's brand
and culture, and includes key features such as universal banker
pods, integrated branding, and an informal flex-space.

Client’s Mission:
Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union – a trusted financial partner
in providing cost efficient, high quality products and services.

KARL STORZ INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS
STAFFORD, TEXAS

This international medical equipment company, required a tenant build-out
in Stafford, Texas. The space needed to accommodate the system
assembly needs, as-well-as, the business and sales needs of the company.
An attractive, cutting edge and technologically advanced look and feel was
required of all areas within the space, as the client wanted the entire
14,000 SF facility to act as a showroom. The installation and design of a
mock operating room allows potential buyers of medical equipment the
opportunity to view and test the products in a virtual environment.

Client’s Mission:
Shaping the future of endoscopy with you.

BLUELINE’S OFFICE
HARRISONBURG, VIRGINIA

When Blueline expanded our Bruce Street office, we wanted to repurpose
the unusual adjoining multi-level structure, emphasize functionality, and
pay close attention to detail. Within the converted building, we have
crafted an environment in what we refer to as the “nook” that allows multi-
use of the space for group gathering, small conferences, or individual “me-
time” to relax. Outfitted with an open kitchen, the space allows
opportunities for events where food and drink can be served. A feature of
the new space is the original mercantile building’s exposed roof structure
contrasted with the new exposed unfinished pine wood deck. The use of
exposed metal ductwork further emphasizes the “retro-tech” feel of the
space.

Client’s Mission:
Blueline delivers buildings for purpose-driven organizations. We provide

strategic planning, architectural design and construction management.

GENESIS ENERGY OFFICE
HOUSTON, TX

After successfully remodeling the
downstream Genesis Energy, L.P.
offices, the corporate offices realized
they needed a refresh and once again
hired Blueline to provide interior
design services to renovate their
executive suites. The executive suites
are located on the sixth floor of the
building and has been in its original
state since the 1990s. The client
wanted to keep a similar look and feel
to the other portions of the building but
wanted to incorporate the latest
technology. In addition, they wanted a
timeless design that would last. The
use of wood, soft tones and colors, the
latest lighting technology, and updated
A/V systems helped to bring this vision
to life.

Client’s Mission:
We remain steadfast in our mission to

provide long term value for our
stakeholders without ever losing our
strong commitment to operating in a
safe, reliable, and responsible manner.
At Genesis Energy, we focus on further
integrating these considerations into

our business strategy every day.

40,000 SF retail facility; the remainder is for

CITY OF KATY CITY HALL
KATY, TEXAS

Blueline was commissioned by the City of Katy, Texas to
oversee design and construction of their new City Hall Project.
The new building replaces the former city administration
complex, which consisted of four different buildings and housed
city staff and city counsel meetings. The three-story high
structure is designed to hark back to the early years in Katy
history when settlers traveled from Galveston to homesteads on
the Katy Prairie.

Client’s Mission:
Our mission is to protect the overall quality of life for our
citizens by providing excellence in public safety, economic
growth and community service

THE SALVATION ARMY
BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

HOUSTON, TEXAS

This facility, located in the Acres Homes community in Houston,
Texas, contains a competition gymnasium with support facilities and
a viewing area from the main concourse. The program is defined as
a series of children’s centers, intended to bridge disciplines and
foster a new approach to learning and discovery with the purpose of
the facility being to provide after-school and recreational programs
for area youth. The project’s design and master plan allows for
future, seamless expansion of the facility, essentially doubling the

TXDOT NAVARRO COUNTY VISITORS CENTER
CORSICANA, TEXAS

Blueline was engaged by TxDOT to design the new Visitors
Center in Corsicana, Texas. The design intent was to
incorporate the surrounding environment and history of the
area. Located in the "Prairies & Lakes" region of Texas with
patches of woodland throughout this rolling grassland prairie, it
was decided early in the design process that wood would be a
key featured element in the design. The use of pine wood
decking and wood timbers accompanied by the river rock,
established the key building materials for the project.

Client’s Mission:
Through collaboration and leadership, TxDOT delivers a safe,
reliable, and integrated transportation system that enables the
movement of people and goods.

PHILLIPS 66 REFINERY
CONFERENCE/TRAINING CENTER

SWEENEY, TEXAS

The multi-disciplinary design team
drew upon the plant’s industrial
aesthetic for inspiration, utilizing
structural and mechanical elements in a
sculptural fashion. The cafeteria and the
state-of-the-art fitness center serve a
total population of almost one thousand
workers on the site. After Hurricane
Harvey destroyed the existing Change
House and Fitness Centers, these
projects were added to the scope on a
“fast track” basis, more than doubling
the project size.

Client’s Mission:
At its massive refinery in coastal
southeast Texas, Phillip 66 required a
functional and aesthetically pleasing
facility to foster employee and
community meetings, and to offer
healthy food in a place convenient to
the many administrative shift workers.

THE SALVATION ARMY
SALLY’S HOUSE
HOUSTON, TEXAS

Tucked in among downtown
Houston’s skyscrapers and
ballparks is this residential
facility, a shelter for women
facing abuse and poverty.
In concert with the Salvation
Army’s mission of “doing the
most-good,” this two-story facility
is an expansion and upgrade of an
existing shelter, providing the
space to accommodate additional
clients. The intentionally designed
bright and uplifting environment
coveys a sense of safety and
security, which is important for
the clientele.

Client’s Mission:
The Salvation Army, an
international movement, is an
evangelical part of the universal
Christian church. Its message is
based on the Bible. Its ministry is
motivated by the love of God. Its
mission is to preach the Gospel of
Jesus Christ and to meet human
needs in His name without
discrimination.

MEMBERS CHOICE CREDIT UNION
KATY, TEXAS

Now a state-of-the-art space project, the Members Choice Credit
Inion Branch consisted of a new interior fit-out, creating a re-
imagined customer experience. Much of the design of this new
flagship branch has influenced the design of new branches. The
redesign of the branch creates a multi-functional space, where
areas can be used for different functions within the branch itself,
tucking away back of house spaces such as storage and
employee meeting spaces. Accents of wood and the BMO design
colors are highlighted and incorporated throughout the space
creating a new branding style while still using standard BMO
furnishings and finishes.

Client’s Mission:
We Believe in people-helping-people by providing sound
financial solutions and resources, as well as sharing our passion
for supporting the community.
