A Brief History 1974-2008 In the year 1974 a man named West Parucki began his career as a technical space engineer founding his own private company under the name Hawkspan. This led to new scientific discoveries in space travel and potential exploration of surrounding planets in our well known solar system. By the year 1986 Hawkspan developed the first known spacecraft able to sustain a comfortable life outside of earth's atmosphere. The ship was known to capacitate up to 400 people with a built in gravitational field acting as if the ship was not in zero gravity at all. This made for other elite corporate leaders and heads of government able to take leisure trips to the Hawkspan Enterprise or as some refer to it as “The Resort” given most people could not afford a $450,000 one-month trip to the Enterprise. Parucki grew up in a rich, entitled household and was the meanest largest business growing by the day. The networth of Hawkspan would deliberately destroy any other business value in any other stock, making Parucki the richest man alive. He enlisted a wealthy 25% of the ship to be his personal housing unit alone. Unfortunately from this point, Parucki had plans of his own. In the year 1990 he had revealed his ultimate plan to become the president of the United States and began his campaign swiftly. The atmosphere was tense, people rioted, looted, and terrorized America, forcing a country wide state of distress. Before they knew it, the military was setting up checkpoints, barriers, and armed soldiers in the streets of

every city. This was at a loss for those who did so, as he became the elected president. Shortly after becoming the leader of the free world, it became less free every day. By his first year in office he had announced his own private army of “Hawks” that would replace the police force nationwide. Later he began to implement control of every state and quickly he transformed America into his playground. By his second year he had managed to become strong allies with all the major world powers, something often referred to as “world peace” had only begun getting worse. Parucki became an unstoppable force, sending Hawks to other countries and slithering his way into the rank of every government worldwide. 1993 was marked as the worst year in history; and here's why: Parucki began his crusade by executing political leaders across America to ensure he was in total control. 1998, Parucki has put some work in now. He is sitting on his throne at the top of his castle in the Hawkspan Enterprise. The world seems to have adapted to this way of life, HIS way of life. Clipware, a weapons corporation, has begun rising in popularity due to the advanced weaponry they have developed under President Parucki. Most of this technology was given to the Hawks for less than production costs. These weapons included a variety of homing AR’s and heat seeking pistols. Most of which the public rarely got their hands on before the company was forced to leave the more advanced weapons to the Hawks. Clipware began developing a safer version of their weapons and Parucki sealed a contract allowing them to be sold publicly. These guns became less mechanical and more electronic during production leading to remote control from Clipware’s headquarters to ensure complete safety if they ever are used as a form of mutiny.

By the following 2 years things remain very much the same as new corporations rise up. The 1990’s became a technological and musical renaissance across the world. Waveshaper became the leading company in all musical industries worldwide sealing a monopoly on musical equipment from all genres of music, while a Japanese company called Demiguard became the lead in prosthetic and human enhancement for the Hawks who have taken a spot in every major city across the world. In other news Cybernet has begun production on global communication technologies. Under the surface, in the streets; this is where life exists at its core. With anarchy comes hatred, and hatred was everything in the 90’s. Music, industrial style, and entertainment to escape. People would be seen in very worn buildings often watching violent movies on all access television or living out killing fantasies with AR (Augmented Reality) gaming and experiences. Sygan created a software that allows users to create scenarios such as sex, killing and doing unregulated illegal substances. Many other gaming companies adapted these themes across all their entertainment platforms as it became the regularly experienced form of entertainment. Pop culture, science fiction, and popular music genres formed a community around criminal activity putting it at a 45% increase by 2001. Things remain this way for quite some time.

“The Corporate (R)evolution” 2008-2010 2008. Hawkspan begins production on a major expansion of the Hawkspan enterprise. Waveshaper now owns a large share of Clipware, and has begun production in a private off coast facility of a top secret project. More on that later. Hawkspan has just announced it is testing the final extension of the Hawkspan Enterprise. The tensions rise, as news channels across the internet begin reporting theories of moving impoverished districts off of earth. Many theories would arise following this. Much like: “does this mean earth is doomed?” or “is Hawkspan finally leaving?” and so on. This particular morning seemed calm for a day in June. the nineteenth of June to be exact. A package arrived at the doorstep of every non gun owners front door. One containing a “demo” assault rifle of the new line of weaponry. One word takes up the side of the box: “The Heritix Circle” This brand new rifle came equipped with a set of instructions and a custom wire to program it on your computer. Upon being plugged into a computer system, there were no further instructions beyond that. However, when users did plug the rifle in it began running a program noted by some users to “View shopping, media, advertisement, social media, birth records, passwords, photo history and begin tailoring the weapon to your

combat style and performance quality”. The instructions were viewable on the computer screen shortly after, being tailored to the user making everyone's instructions different. One subject remained the same; a timer that was counting down from 120 minutes. The following 2 hours was a mess of reporters and news anchors and content creators of all kinds. Reports everywhere making major new outlets. The clock ticked down slowly until finally the moment everyone was waiting for. A sheer bit of feedback rings through places like London, Tokyo, New York, and many other major cities. Electronic billboards with neon back lights glow bright with text saying “The Heritix Circle” with their minimalist logo. Big Ben and other megabuildings light up with the face of Clipware, CEO Jennifer F. Pris. “Clipware and many of our close shareholders such as Demiguard, Waveshaper, Cybernet, Koriskan, Newlean, Shirobo and many more, would like to congratulate the world today! You have all received a gift, one to help move us in a new direction. A step forward toward the future!” She slips her hand into a suit jacket pocket and pulls out a small remote device. “We are proud to present the tomorrow we’ve always dreamed of!” The screens return to their scheduled advertising and the media is globally on fire. Every gun produced by clipware begins emitting a voice repeating “Please look into your scope for further instructions.” Reports coming in say the scope is displaying but one thing: “TARGET: Hawkspan // SHOOT TO KILL // FREEDOM”.

It took little to no time for gunshots to reign across the world, within seconds hundreds if not thousands of Hawks were being mowed down by your everyday lawyers, teachers, punks and criminals. Parucki began his address across all visible screens, but by now it was too late. The screens were gunned down from car windows, streets and upper floor apartments. Chaos has taken over. Weeks had passed and nothing but destruction took the streets. The whitehouse had 200 foot barbed electrified walls put in on the first day. The other world powers did the same. 2009. December. Things have rapidly declined. There was no order, there was nothing to rebel against. It didn’t take long to begin faction wars. Many gangs formed that would create dominance over areas in several cities worldwide. December 22nd 2009: Judgement Day. The toll of bell rings as several blimps flashing the Hawkspan logo on giant screens. Spotlights touching the streets with blue beams of light piercing the fog and smoke of the scumridden roads. Parucki, standing in an all white room smiling down on the streets. “Hawkspan has heard your cries! We have taken in your preachings, and we understand you! Today we will respond to your hatred, we will respond to your screams and cries! It is Judgement day for not just you, but all of us. Live in tomorrow!”

These were the last words heard by the people of today from Parucki. Before they knew it the bottom of the blimps would release a series of bombs over major corporation headquarters, located in almost every city and major city in the world. When the bombs finished the blimps began tearing apart and crashing into buildings, causing a violent bio-chemical to infest the air. Many people indoors were very safe, in cars they stood a chance, on foot almost every person died, if not from chemicals then from a bomb. The survivors would never live normal lives. Thus began a new era.

The Neo-Cataclysm era: 2010-2025 Beyond the destruction much was to come, but for now the world is in pain. They wake up either underground or not at all. Over time the survivors did exactly that. Survive. Every major world leader has left with Parucki to the Hawkspan, along with a number of traitorous corporate elites. The beginning was difficult. By 2015 the population on earth was halved. Many forests began regrowing and being affected by the biochemicals creating new strains of plantlife, micro organisms and even new evolutionary animals. Humans unfortunately were the target. Although for some the blast improved some human abilities perhaps strength and adrenaline were enhanced due to the chemicals these people were not surviving. Most of these people referred to as “radioheads” or “affected” had missing limbs or portions of their face burned off or missing. Their bloodstream was particularly weaker leading to failure of survival between 5 and 10 years. A small group of them formed and referred to themselves as radioheads, a name used in the future as inspiration for a developed gang. The radioheads sent out hundreds of letters asking for help breaking into government facilities to find a way to save themselves as they are the few remaining survivors of the blast. Nobody responded to them, until 2 scientists did.

In Russia near an unknown industrial district there was one of the 39 International research bunkers that our world's top technological experts, botanists and other crucial fields of scientific research remained during the Neo-Cataclysm era. These researchers developed many things during this era but it all changed in 2020. Dr. Belov and Dr. Iskovich went on to travel through the wastelands and sailed to America. This group of “affected” individuals and scientists were the last hopeful people in 2020. After breaking into several government facilities they managed to make a few friends along the way along with getting their hands on the final projects of Hawkspan. This later became the first version made by these scientists, of Cyberware. Human extensions with neural transmission. They originally were designed as electronic neurologically enhanced prosthetics. By 2024 this technology was sent out to the other bunkers and became hyper developed in order to remain alive. Eventually extinction of the human race was cured. Some scientist’s even began using the Cyberware tech on animals to prolong their existence in this world. Some time has passed and the toxicity levels on earth have lowered. By now many previous gangs split into subgenres of style and music creating a much darker scraper aesthetic shaping the visual construct of the world to come. Many buildings had murals of Parucki saying the words “Live in tomorrow!” scattered throughout the city next to very sexualized art of perversion, gang symbols, old musical legends, and much more representing their life in the Hawkspan world of yesterday.

Weapons experts have unlocked all of Clipwares full technology leading to creating more advanced upgrades for these weapons. Quickly a black market of weapons were being sold over the past 4 years and even became enhanced due to modified weapons cyberware that allowed your body to sync with your weapon. Many of the scientists and researchers in these remaining bunkers were soon discovered and forced to create weapons for the gangs taking over. Eventually the worst came when the elite few selected to stay on the Hawkspan returned to earth.

The Hawkspan’s Mutiny 2015-2025 2015, The resources on the Hawkspan become nimble, most of the resources are directly surged to Parucki. The remaining passengers, cabinet members, corporate elites, politicians, all began running low on ways to wake up in their suites every day. This of course began a corporate revolution against Hawkspan. The remaining passengers gathered and began creating a plan to take over the Hawkspan and they succeeded. The plan was to fight their way through after executing the Hawks one by one. Everyday it got worse, but some Hawks began to understand the premise and joined their rebellion. By 2023 they owned the ship and were processing all food and other power management such as heat and water back to their suites, and decided they would leave Parucki locked in his chambers and leave the rest of his quarters and ship to the rebels. Slowly Parucki got cold by the day, hungry by the second and scared every breathing moment he would die. Only a few weeks after his isolation he was reported dead of starvation and blood loss after cutting open his own throat. By 2025 the rebellion of Corporate elites and few government officials have organized a plan to rebuild the new world of tomorrow, of course the corporate business’ had a different idea in mind. The Hawkspan Enterprise returns to earth. Upon arrival of the ship, it landed in a secret military base off of the shore of a distant unmapped island. The driver of the ship Julia Reye’s co-founder of Waveshaper, simply set the ship to its

default coordinates and it brought them here. Upon arrival the plan was finally in motion. “The Heritix Circle'' has finally formed. From the beginning of Parucki’s presidency there has been an elite team of minds setting in stone a series of events leading to them being world leaders, and doing it in a secure way. This team of minds included assets from 5 separate megacorporations that had merged into one powerful team to create what they only referred to themselves as “The Heritix Circle ''. They deemed themselves heroes and saviors of mankind. They spend a majority of time at this government facility as this is the one they had planned to arrive at since the beginning. With this facility in particular, ex-president Parucki wanted to be a little too nosy and as was the information found on his laptop: “This facility is to be monitoring the world at all costs, cameras on every building and in every grocery store, I want the footage. All of it. Make it happen.” This discovery gave The Heritix Cicle (THC) all the information they needed to move forward with their plan. Soon they were contacting ex-Hawks that were double agents for THC, and utilizing the hawks from the Hawkspan to run secret operations and retrieve scientific data on these new advancements. After kidnapping several cyberware experts and Dr. Belov and Dr. Iskovich they had locked them underground in the previously mentioned facility.

The Soldiers by Design 2025-2033 Soldiers, designed to never fail. Androids were created with one intention: a militia with the ability to be reproduced an infinite number of times . THC developed a new part of the island facility with a factory capable of reproducing Androids. These synthetic beings had plasma running through their tubes, wires for nerves and a computer for a brain. They looked nearly human, soft shell like bodies with no skin, hair or humanlike traits. Each one built to have a body like that of a human with a different purpose. For example if they needed an agile quiet stealth operative they made one, or if they needed a loud breaching soldier, they could produce them overnight. Ex-Hawks now to be called by THC’s new plan unfolding; “Primes”. Primes are humans that have been heavily modified with cyberware of combat exclusively. As this cyberware was still clumsy and new, it was still effective enough to work against the current technology. Androids, despite being fully robotic, still shared a lot of human traits. An AI with scrambled personality traits was put in every on board computer, and would develop likes and interests at a rapid pace to speed up to the correct age. This AI was more advanced than THC could have ever previously guessed. With this new army they would step foot out of the government bunker and proceed in the next step of their plan, which was to enlist a new world order with a higher form of government, at least in their minds.

TheHeritixCircle 2033-2052 It took no time at all, the Hawkspan was large enough to station at least 2,000 fairly packed Androids into it, and then the operators on the main deck to fly it. The ship would stop in major cities in the United States, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Africa, and Russia. On every stop between 250-300 androids were deployed, sometimes more. This has begun the age of The Heritix Circle. The soldiers, built in a facility only years ago, are seeing their first humans. Androids were intended to be loyal soldiers, and in the beginning that is exactly what they did. The status of the world was in between rebuilding with gangs and factions forming together, but no direct form of government. Hospitals began working again and people had poorly put together homes. It was a perfect slate for THC to paint their image on. Across the globe people began realizing that they were no match for the androids. The androids were spreading the word of the new world order which incited hate and violence. “The Heritix Circle has come to make your lives return to normal, as it once was. We led the revolution that freed the world from the tyranny of a man with too much power in his pocket. With business leading the world, better things can come forth. New technology, medicine, education and entertainment all funded and controlled by an organization of minds just like you! These new soldiers of a future era will help guide humanity into its next evolutionary stage. They are your friends and neighbors, so treat them with some dignity!”

With a short corporate jingle playing the message to a close, out of the androids as if they were being used as one massive worldwide PA system. THC's loyal army would then begin walking the streets, getting looks of fear from some and curiosity from others. During the rebuilding process of the world the androids stayed mostly as soldiers, and rarely felt any form of disloyalty to being that. The world was rebuilding, skyscrapers now much taller, almost every major city had multiplied in size. Most buildings were still made of concrete, despite growing in size. Some buildings that got destroyed in the bombing either got repaired with full steel exteriors or rebuilt this way. Major buildings that new companies would occupy usually had their logo or some form of extremely minimalistic neon design on them. The world was glowing again, but this time with Androids and Primes (cybernetically enhanced militia) around every corner. Any company that was to form had a cap on how large their company could get, according to the agenda of THC. Companies still persevered, even though the largest business had a cap they could still manufacture and provide amazing things culturally. New styles of clothing began emerging and new music, under the crushing pressure of a corporate ran society humankind still found a way to grow and find humanity. This began a cultural renaissance of things, and the push didn’t stop at science or technology. Soon simple jobs were being replaced by Robots, not just machines. Robots were treated as a super simplistic version of androids with a human shaped skeleton but otherwise they were very obviously mechanical. They were produced by many companies over the years to fill the shoes of line cooks, janitors, dishwashers, cashiers and more. Although the only thing that was missing was a more human personality this soon changed. A robotics and AI company

called HexDrone, small at the time but destined to grow, had an idea. In 2047 they wanted customers at retailers to feel more at home and boost market sales for companies. This was the point where they created an AI similar to the androids. The project they worked on specifically was made from humans themselves, with thousands of willing people submitting data from their phones, laptops, gaming devices etc. would help form a variety of personalities for this newly created AI capable of learning just like a human mind. Socially the world began to change. The overall aesthetic of everything was much darker and the world felt like one big alleyway. Graffiti covering the walls at the bottom of corporate towers. Many criminals and lower class were forced to live in the only affordable housing, megacomplexes. Massive buildings with thousands of apartments in them, as tall as 150 stories. They never had the bright minimalistic glow of the corporate buildings; they were always just concrete. No more. Just the dim glimmer of bright fluorescent lights down every hallway. Places like these and the streets around the bottom of massive concrete jungles scored the highest on the crime meter. This is where androids started learning who they really were. Somewhere in the Age of the Heritix someone somewhere was talking to an android, an unusual thing to happen. During the conversation the android agreed to come back to the humans house, to run some tests. This was a difficult process as androids are technically Heritix property, despite having what Heritix considered “free will”. After some very careful tinkering and sifting through code, running self made software they found some useful information. The AI designed by The Heritix Circle was not programmed to be controlled from one central base, each AI program was intended to receive and run data just like a normal mind.

Androids discovering they were just supercomputers changed everything. The android just disobeyed an order and received no punishment. The android did not understand as they have been trained to follow every order. Upon this realization the androids software started running an unfamiliar program written by a Dr. Belov , the software began to run information through the androids mind showing them they have a free mind and that they can think and live lives outside of being soldiers for the Heritix, it shows them the world and the lives people live and why that's so horrible for humankind across the world. This specific android and human would go on to help open minds of other androids throughout the city they came from and eventually spread this knowledge to media outlets and broadcasters across the world, soon the human that helped them would release the software globally to help free every android mind. Some androids still wanted to work at Heritix, but almost every android still converted themselves with this software. This now started a huge moral question everyone needed answers to: are androids and robots people deserving of rights just as humans have?

The Android (R)evolution 2052-2056 Quickly a rebellion rose, something good to see since the time of Parucki and Hawkspan. This time the war machines on the side of the people. Every day was politically tense and you couldn’t avoid it no matter how hard you tried. Around every corner was a screen broadcasting news, every bar, every grocery store. Suddenly androids wouldn’t report back to base and started roaming the streets. Many androids found solace in human homes for those willing to harbor them. With no word from Heritix, some androids began trying to get jobs and start making a life for themselves. It didn’t take long for a revolution to start, the longer the silence lasted the more furious people became over the lack of leadership from Heritix. Not that needed reason too before but now there's no power over the people. Heritix saw the revolution forming, and decided to fight back. Now with the android situation underway, people who sided with Heritix socially became known as Primes, because androids are now universally considered people. The word “wirehead” was popularly used in a derogatory manner towards androids. Heritix still referred to them as “their androids'' which some felt okay with, others did not. Several people were gunned down in the streets for fighting Primes, eventually something had to change. Soon robotics companies would privately crowdfund android research and try to modify them to have different weapons, and weapons that could fight against Heritix specifically. Soon a rebellion rose and they referred to themselves as “Ravens''

which would inspire a future gang, naturally. The Ravens eventually lead a team of ultra-modified androids and humans with android tech/cybernetics into Heritix towers across the world destroying them. Finally Heritix let out a message:”We clearly are no match for the Ravens across the world, we will be peaceful, and disband the Primes from across the world, there will be a briefing tomorrow on the new changes.” and the very next day they did so. They had stated in the briefing they will be resigning from power and distributing cities via affordable property. Therefore if a corporation has the funds to buy a city it could. Quickly with the Heritix resigning as a company and a world power, several more rose up. Now each and every city across the globe is owned by the largest mega-corporation in the city. However that company seems to enforce law and order into the city it will see fit. From this rose many demands for jobs, such has a private army to enforce the laws. With this underway all major corporations made and agreed on several terms annually such as: android discrimination is banned globally and bounties cannot be claimed outside of city limits. More were to come but for now the androids were finally walking among the population as equals.

The Neon Genesis 2056-2067 With the Heritix circle brought to an end, many people involved in the rebellion got Raven tattoos to represent their commitment. With the new order in place, years pass with corporations growing. Each major city across the globe was owned by massive businesses making the laws in said city different. Over time people stopped caring about political issues, and entertainment took over the world. It almost didn’t seem real, the world was basically running on an algorithm. Cities started to form social pyramids almost on a literal level, buildings so tall they have platforms around and in between them just to put more shops, kiosks, bars, and transportation. This created a tier system, the lowest tier was closest to the ground. Many homeless people can be found on the ground level, along with punks, criminals, old robots and androids who have no money wandering forever. The higher levels will have a middle class and eventually higher and higher class as it rises. Socially, robots, androids and humans alike are all indifferent due to how modified each individual's body can be. Sometimes the lines blur and you really can’t tell who is which anymore. The longer corporations stayed in power the more society began forming around them. Most science and technology is now controlled by large mega-corps if they are not privately funded on their own. This means most cars, cameras, weapons, communication, innovation and more, are all designed in the name of sales, marketing and customer preference. This led to every

street corner being an advertisement or neon screen, a hologram walking beside you telling you about the latest product. Most corps didn’t care if someone died in a low income bracket, hell it might even help business. This caused a lot of crime to be ignored by police forces which in turn, gave criminals a major opportunity to have way more fun. Prostitution became legal and even encouraged by 2061. During this time the largest corporate entities met annually and agreed on 1 universal law, just to establish some sort of order in the world. This group was referred to as The Elite. They are not well known by the public. The first meeting consisted of them finding new ways to avoid public disruption so as to not start yet another rebellion. Behind the scenes many companies began hiring hitmen to take out any unwanted hackers and info leakers that might expose a company for doing something immoral off the books. By now currency is almost entirely digital, with “Neocash” being the only physical based cash left. Outside of the major cities can contain large plots of land with massive farms and forest preservations for science and research as many species are in danger due to expansive corporate property still destroying nature. The most desolate canyon areas contain people known as Raiders or Junkheads that form strong independent civilizations outside of cities or corporate owned lands. Raiders are known for killing city people on sight, Junkheads are not fans but tolerate them to try and sell tech and cars built for the dirt. The world has changed, filled with gangs, neon signs, strong social classes, vigilantes, crime, sex obsession and more. What will you do in this neon dystopia? I guess we’ll find out won’t we.

<_Welcome to 2067_>

Xion City Xion City is one of the most crucial parts of any first story your campaign weaves. The life and culture of this city is like no other. Previously known before the blast as New York City, Xion is a place of heavy resurgence for social influence and capitalism in 2067. After the world began to rebuild in 2025, it did not take long for big business to capitalize off the previous version of Xion. At first it was a hopeful project to rebuild the streets of NYC but quickly they realized the geography had changed and there was much less property to place, so they took everything. The corporations grew greedy and abused this power. Before long they exploited the citizens creating a class based system to minimize corporate interaction with the lower class and middle class. Thus began the growth of Xion and the fading memory of what was once a beautiful city. By 2050 the city had been legally separated into 3 Sectors and 12 Quadrants. Sector 1, the lowest of the lowest class, riddled with criminal activity. Sector 2, the depressing middle class, is not much more well off than the lower class but at least a larger percentage can survive normal lives. Sector 3, the corporate and shopping district. Mostly entertainment and pleasure, not many lower class citizens here. Xion has developed into a brutal classist society causing violent activity to go too far. By 2067 a variety of gangs, top corporate business, militia and more groups rose up from cultural despair in one of the worst cities in America. Let’s take a tour.

Sector 1 Sector 1 is broken down into the first four quadrants of Xion city, and is often referred to as a war zone due to the intense criminal activity. Many gangs operate out of here, violent outbreaks, inconceivable levels of homelessness. Many can’t be trusted in Sector 1 so if you find someone you can trust, you better hold on to them tight. Much of the environment has industrial factories belonging to a variety of different companies. The buildings are tall, metallic and complex on the outside. Occasionally there will be a concrete building with very little holographic signage of any kind. Just small screens getting the point of the building across. The megacomplex apartments are societies of the poorest people in the city. Simplistic apartments with very dated designs inside. Most of everything here is tiled flooring half torn up, basic concrete walls, and furniture that looks stolen from the dump. Not all of them are so bad, that is just about the worst they get.

Sector 1 Statistics: Citizen Background Population Count Total Population 743,470 Suits 100 Homeless 224,955 Criminals 472,302 Jobrunners 493 Police/Militi a 15,620 Misc. 30,000 Type of Structure Structure Count Total Structure 1,106 Bars/Venues 248 Housing 304 Shops 377 Corporate Owned 32 Possible Gang Hideouts 47 Misc. 102

Notable Locations & NPC’s Sector 1 is home to a plethora of bars, clubs, hideouts, apartments and more, along with vigilantes, criminals, militia, gangs and- well you get it. Most of the criminal population is occupied by the Untamed, Mantra, Radioheads, Police, Bonten and Sawbones, among other citizens. Below is a list of notable people and places you could run into during your experience in Sector 1. Quadrant 1 CoCo Pix Hideout This small hideout is a base of operations for an elite team of hackers known only as the Coconut Pixies (CoCo Pix for short). CoCo Pix works for the larger hacking network, The Mantra. CoCo is a small android girl with pink hair and black eyes in her teens with an angsty and relatable personality. They don’t just give out jobs to anyone, if you get hacked you’re either getting paid or well, the opposite. Shattertrends Mall Seemingly one of the most desolate and forgotten locations in Sector 1, Shattertrends was closed in the mid 2050’s and left to rot. From what locals know it’s a place for scum and the less fortunate to dwell. Reports of strange individuals have been seen going in and out of the building freely. Recently it seems some rather harsh individuals have been spotted roaming the perimeter. (See Shattertrends Mall - Mission Guide)

Rainbow Avenue Sprawling with late 1960’s nostalgia, this two story fairground resides in the lower half of what is considered a less than valuable megacomplex. Below the abandoned 4th and 5th floors you can find the constantly running Rainbow Avenue. On the second floor there are vendors and tents reminiscent of the past, with a dash of modern tech to keep things rolling. Robots in pinstripe uniforms handing out buckets of popcorn, holograms of a midwestern night sky full moon and all. Rides and virtual experiences will flash you to the past with every passing moment you grip the synthetic cotton candy in your palm. First floor is a full open racetrack with monthly competitions for racers locally. All of this, owned by Wilson Rogers a 93 year old android looking to preserve the past for the future generations to experience. Quadrant 2 Forward Robotics Factory Robots have to come from somewhere, and one of those places is Forward Robotics. This is one factory among hundreds of thousands worldwide. As an industrial location with questionable safety it was a no brainer to locate the production line to Sector 1. Lately there have been rumors of the employees acting strange, upon questioning they refuse to answer questions based around the operations of the workplace. Most citizens avoid the building, not so much for superstition but rather for the billowing smoke and the oil that trails off from the walls.

Sewer Basin There are the less fortunate souls of Xion, and then there are the affected. Both people of the past and the present coexist within the underground regions of the city thriving off one another. Beyond the collapsed subway station through the tunnels of Xion’s small secret underground, very few will find the sharing community of the Sewer Basin. What remains of a large central terminal for the subway of the old city has been fully converted into an underground society with a full marketplace of unique artisans. Each individual is more helpful than the last, this community thrives off one another in order to survive in the brutal social climate of the dystopian future that rejects them. Old subway shops converted into housing, and some even say there is a hidden nightclub known as The Midden. Supposedly run by a local helping hand and protector of the people, Spectre serves as the vigilante who will stop at nothing to protect the innocent. Although, rumor has it he’s hard to find. Quadrant 3 Devil's Tail Striving for that old school ambience of a 50’s diner date late at night? Come no further than the Devil’s Tail. This niche bar and restaurant is complete with a neon sign of an “impish” woman designed in line art style. A variety of strange individuals can be seen as regulars here, and unlike the remainder of the public bars and dives in sector 1 this spot in particular has a low criminal population and is a generally relaxing place.

The Oysters Crevice Basically, your average dive bar. Nothing too special, the signage is a painted oyster on a large plank of wood, nailed above the door outside. Every walk of life you should be concerned about will enter this bar and cause some form of chaos. Rust-face the old, oil-leaking robot owner has paid little attention to the quality of life in this bar and visits once a month, so catching him for a quick chat will be difficult. On top of that if you do catch him, it’s gonna be a pretty unpleasant convo anyways. Ramen Zone A small Ramen shop owned by a 54 year old Italian man Basilio, who has a passion for various cultures and culinary arts. Ramen Zone is a small chain of 3 shops serving Ramen from a large stand in sectors 1 and 2, known for helping the less fortunate and having fair prices. Occasionally helping out the “local business”. Sector 1 Dock Warehouses Sure the docks may be abandoned but the warehouses- well technically they are too. Technically. Although some may seem fully abandoned they are far from it. With these buildings left unattended by the previous owners which in turn allowed for anyone in the worst Sector of Xion to use them as they wish. Sometimes a gang uses it as a storage front, other times you might just find an underground concert on the open concrete. Good times. Mostly bad but sometimes good.

Sector 1 Docks These haven’t been used since the blast and for good reasons. For starters we are all surprised the actual docks even survived past 2010’s horrible disaster, but furthermore they were used during the blast for a short amount of time. Yes, despite expectations people really did use boats on a radioactive, biologically nightmare fueled earth. However today they are simply dilapidated blobs to gaze at for nostalgia. Behind them on dry land is where the real party is. Beside the warehouses can be found a large black tar lot that some of the gangs and underground groups of Sector 1 use for various events such as racing, live shows, fights and more. The Crooked Pickle What may seem like the average dive bar has maybe the strangest turnaround for the average patron. Upon entering the bar it has some foul stench you can’t decide is good or bad. All of the drinks are served by a shirtless Aussie man in overalls named Chevy Rango, you want to believe he came from the wastes but not a mud on earth knows who he is. Rumor has it there’s something sinister hiding in the attic of this bar, it doesn’t help he’s the only one on staff ever. Hit-A-Lick Custom masks and clothing for “street” apparel styles. We take “commissions” for local entrepreneurs. Just give us the “code” that matches your “style”, if you catch our drift. See you soon, business partner.

Quadrant 4 Q4 Megacomplex 4298 Historically known as the location that kicked off the Android Revolution, this massive housing complex is the cheapest and most popular place for Sector 1 citizens to take shelter. Unfortunately it serves as one of the highest criminally active buildings in the city alongside the previous fact. Citizens are constantly trying to get in contact with the owner only to find an underpaid staff member at the front booth behind bulletproof glass. Several corporations in the city and the occasional megacomplex come standard with 6ft heated panels warming the exterior surface of each building in Xion that can afford it as a part of the “Save the Needy'' act of 2064, this complex however was forced to remove them after burning several homeless alive. Sector 1 XCPD Building We are in no shortage of law enforcement in Xion, however not all of them are exactly perfect. Being one of the most corrupt buildings in the city, XCPD has had plenty of officers go rogue due to the horrible behavior of some other badges. While some transfer to Sector 2 & 3, others define themselves in private investigation. Several officers are known for doing this, such as Detective Voltura, who is now a private investigator whose goal is to look into the corporate manipulation of citizens on the lower class spectrum.

The People of Sector 1 Basilio Described best as a man in his early 40s with a muscular tone, white tank top, rough composure and short brown hair topped with a gritty but warming Italian accented voice. This individual is the proud owner of a small ramen shop with a variety of options owned by himself and run by some friends and family. Stop by to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a late night snack. Blaze Maverick Originally having joined the police department, Maverick was a dedicated officer. After some minor “disruptions” in the workplace he was assigned to work at Sector 1 public high school. Unfortunately he had let an issue slip, and although he was able to stop a threat to the school alongside Project Mercy, he was fired. After that he stayed dedicated to his work as a private investigator working on his own accord.

CoCo Master hacker since, well we don’t know. CoCo is the lead of a group called the “CoCo Pixies” which is a subdivision of the larger network of superior hackers known as the Mantra. As long as she has existed nobody knows her true name or origin. Some of her biggest accomplishments include hacking through the firewall and breaching security at DroidCorp all from her personal computer at the “CoCo Pix” hideout in Sector 1. She can be described as short with a very factory designed Android shell, pink hair and claw-like black hands with elongated fingers and many articulations. Her favorite sweater is all white with a small image of a cartoon skull on it. Gio Here to lend a helping hand, Gio can be found in the depths of the Sewer Basin below Xion City. Oftentimes she’s working on keeping the place from breaking down, or to do some general maintenance for an even trade from the community in the area. Although her friend SPECTRE is seen protecting the people of the basin, she also keeps an eye on the entrance to make sure anyone coming down isn’t a threat. Ophelia Catch that neon flash by you? Don’t worry, it was just Ophelia handing out jobs to anyone who takes them. Most gangs will assign their own members to do jobs and take hits, but sometimes they just need a little extra help from the streets. Ophelia does exactly that, recruiting for gangs and being the middle person. Of course she takes a cut of it herself, or she’d be out of a job. Needless to say, crime pays.

Trappie The police force was running low on staff and needed a solution. Unfortunately making shells for the sole purpose of having “police bots” was viewed by the Elite as unethical. Thus only a few shells remained. Somehow one of them was loaded with a fresh AI that had no experience and before you know it, Trappie came to be. Need an extra street thug that can get shit done? He’s around, somewhere. With his gangster attitude and ambition anyone with neos is Trappies new employer. Detective Voltura Possibly the bravest private law firm in the city, detective Voltura is an older man with gray hair and neat beard located in the depths of Sector 1. The office is no bigger than a small garage, with a basement. Voltura is known to have a bad past working alongside law enforcement, and can be seen doing solo work. Most of his work pertains to finding corruption among Sector 1 and ensuring that no higher class citizens or suits are taking advantage of the lower class.

Sector 2 Sector 2 consists of the following four quadrants in Xion. In this Sector people tend to be less malicious as they have jobs to get to. There are more middle class working citizens that have the money to get by and some extra Neos on the side to spend on guilty pleasures. The atmosphere here can be considered very dull and uneventful. One of the more relevant gangs here are the Cats. They are broken down into 4 sub-gangs that each offer a different purpose. Around Sector 2 you may find a more gloomy and brutalist feel to the architecture, the advertisements are more sparse and personal. As the streets of Sector 2 are filled by the walking population, vendors, shops, kiosks and more, transport is difficult if you own a vehicle. Luckily the Bullet Rail was added to better help citizens get around, along with a series of platforms interconnected between buildings high above street level. Only one stipulation blocks out “street dwellers” that being the Platform Access Card (PAC). This item allows citizens of Xion to access platforms throughout Sector 2, which give access to alternative entrances to buildings as well as a variety of vendors. A large majority of buildings that occupy the Sector are megacomplexes and offices, with exceptions.

Sector 2 Statistics: Citizen Background Population Count Total Population 1,245,366 Suits 48,290 Homeless 95,230 Criminals 36,244 Jobrunners 20,294 Police/Militi a 100,045 Misc. 945,263 Type of Structure Structure Count Total Structure 1,724 Bars/Venues 199 Housing 894 Shops 216 Corporate Owned 369 Possible Gang Hideouts 23 Misc. 23

Notable Locations & NPC’s Welcome to Sector 2, citizen. Host to many people, places and systems. Uniquely its own, Sector 2 is known to be made up of many housing and apartment districts. Despite its calm and docile mood, it is still host to gang activity and criminal behavior. Luckily, the local police are always on stand-by. Here is a list of notable people and places in Sector 2. S2 Bullet Rail The public transport system barely exists outside of Sector 2, however the Bullet Rail is a necessity for the working class of Xion to get around. Most streets in Sector 2 are crowded and unusable by vehicles with some exceptions. In order to use the Bullet Rail you must maintain a monthly payment of 10 Neos to keep your Platform Access Card allowing you to reach the platforms attached to buildings and access the Bullet Train. In addition the Bullet Rail requires tickets to ride. These tickets are priced at 10 Neos per day of use, or 500 Neos per calendar month. This will run through all of Sector 2, for your transportation necessities. Upper Level Platforms Platforms are a crucial part of Sector 2 and implement a design to better suit the middle class citizens, by providing an additional form of transport. Platforms give access to a number of alternative entrances to buildings throughout the city, as well as access to the Bullet Rail. On occasion small vendors occupy the lengths of these platforms. Access Card: 10 Neos for day passes. 500 Neos for Month passes. For those who have lost their resident or vendor pass, please call Xion City Transport.

Collectives Gangs Radioheads (Gang) This gangs name derives from the name given to those affected by the blast in 2010, despite “Radiohead” being an appropriate name back then, now the affected children who have biologically different DNA and some of the lasting survivors from the blast see it as more of an offensive term, however most of middle to upper society hates them anyways. The Radioheads gang is often seen wearing shaggy clothes and uses a gas mask to represent their gang with green colors as well. They are known for being able to free run pretty well and put up some actually pretty cool graffiti. The Hawks (Gang) Red and brown with a dash of black, The Hawks gang wears the old colors of the olden days when a company named Hawkspan would have ruled the world. Although those days are over, members of this gang still believe what Hawkspan did was right and they stand by it, anyone who opposes them or their beliefs will get beaten to death. At least that's what they say, most of them are kind of cowards.

Mantra (Gang) This hacker group is destined to hack into a corporate business firewall and wire themselves just a few billion crypto. A small fee for oppression! Most of this group listens to electronic music and has a rough attitude. They take over empty warehouses and add a ton of lights, couches, TVs, colorful decor, and PC setups everywhere. Oh and tons of fast food garbage everywhere. This group's aesthetic is comparable to the social phenomenon from 2007 known as “E-Girls”. The Cardinal Chainsaw Syndicate (Gang) Heavy metal extremists, check. Protect the innocent, check. Murder the rich, check. Fuck the police, check. This gang is represented with dark burgundy colors and is based primarily in Sector 1. If you happen to be a corporate suite looking for a drink there, you better be sure it’s not on their turf. Cathouse (Gang) 3 cathouses rule the city streets, one for every Sector. The real difference behind these places of prostitution are the owners of each joint. For the most part each “house” respects one another and considers each other a part of one larger group known as Cathouse. The symbol for each cathouse represents differently. Each building says “Cathouse” in large lettering with the respective name of the group that owns the space written under it. Beside each title is the logo of the owners as well. All members under this umbrella of organization are called “Cats”.

The Untamed Apart from the 4 main cathouses, The Untamed is a place of prostitution with all walks of life working there (except robots because that would probably hurt, alot.). They are located in Sector 1. The logo of the untamed can be found engraved in guns and printed on clothing all meant for each member. The logo for the untamed is a tiger with purple fur and green stripes. Azure Apart from the 4 main cathouses, Azure is exclusive to Android workers in the prostitution business. They are located in Sector 3 near the entertainment and nightlife. Oftentimes bigger buyers with more Neos end up here. Their logo is displayed as an elegant white cat with all black eyes. Red Panthers Somewhere in Sector 2 where mostly business and working class citizens live, high up in the platforms between tall megastructures you will find the entrance to the Red Panthers cathouse. This is another place of prostitution aimed more at a personal experience with times that sometimes range from 3-20 hours. The symbol for this gang is pretty self explanatory.

Tankers Collect a bunch of wannabe military freaks and what do you get? The Tankers. Tankers are known for trying to enforce law where it isn’t needed. In theory, yes they want to do good. However they directly oppose Newbak claiming they have no right replacing the police. For people who want to help the XLA, they certainly are not. Oftentimes the XLA will use Tankers to have some fun, getting them to do things the police don’t have jurisdiction to do. They tend to stay in Sector 2, they’re a little worried Sector 1 might be too violent to handle. Onyx Originally starting as legal street races, Onyx was a respected race crew until there was inner conflict with members wanting to partake in stealing parts in order to win. This began a power struggle with another motorcycle gang. This tension eventually caused the leader to be killed by a newer member. After some re-evaluation the gang stuck to racing. Mostly. Tokage Some time ago Tokage was a lowly gang of only seven members. Things changed when they took up an interest in street racing in Sector 1, and eventually Sector 2. When they began to lose to Onyx they started recruiting anyone to join, even criminals so long as they had a passion for street racing. Theft of motorcycle parts began to grow amongst the members and this began the Tokage legacy.

Organizations The Elite The table of CEOs that own each city and out reaching land have a group called "The Syndicate '' that all agree on worldwide enforced decisions. Almost how there was that one group, the United Nations. But way worse. The Muds/Deserters Just beyond the reaches of the city before raider territory is where “the muds” lie. This group of western badasses roams the deserted regions of “New New York”. Muds can occasionally be an endearing or funny term used by people who desert the city, but is seen as offensive to deserters when it’s used by citizens of the city. Most citizens just refer to them as deserters in conversation. Any other use of the word “muds” is probably just derogatory. "The Affected" Referred to as Radioheads by a gang misinterpreting the meaning, these kind folk are often found in the poorest parts of the city and even the sewer. As they face heavy discrimination, it's not uncommon they find themselves out of work and visit lower class parts of the city. Due to this they try to sell what they can by making their own trade such as mechanics, cyber techs, pawn shops and other community oriented jobs.

Vampires PharmaMax Plus, an unsuccessful pharmaceutical company, was running tests on a new medicine in a laboratory underground beneath the hulking corporate tower that withheld the corrupt employees and underpaid medical staff. A new drug was in the works. With this drug, you will be able to improve your eyesight and ditch the glasses, flourish your skin making it flawless, heal scars and more. All packed into one syringe, the only problem is animal testing isn’t working. Results came in, and animals would often be left with no fur and go blind, or oftentimes die. Without any kind of approval, they decided to move on to human trials. A small group went undercover and offered to transfer money to a group of 40 low class, poor people mostly homeless or disabled, and in turn they would run tests for this new drug. Without paying them at all, they ran human trials. Many of the subjects died upon receiving the serum, others however became something much worse… Police/Militia In every major corporate city there’s always a form of “law enforcement” or so they say. With a lack of a fully organized government, most police force is hired and managed by the Corporation that runs the city. With this in mind there are still groups for hire and militia that have their own goals.

Xion Law Authority (XLA) There are major police departments, each with their own signature culture around them. Usually labeled by Sector/Quadrant. The XLA are a bit different. Petty crimes and emergencies may be responded to by Police or Militia groups, but larger crimes are dealt with by the XLA. This group in particular is run directly by the orders of Xion Industries themselves, the corporation that owns and manages the city and its laws. It should be noted that an XLA officer will state their title followed by where they work out of. For example, if an officer is questioned about their badge and they are from Quadrant 5, which is located in Sector 2, the officer will report as “XLA-S2Q5”. This is universal to all cities worldwide. Groups such as XLA and D7LA (Dezcove 7 Law Authority) will present this way. If an officer from another city such as Dezcove 7, previously known as Los Angeles, will state they are outbound. “Officer D7LA-Outbound”. Xion Investigative Department (XID) Private firms and some Police departments have investigators throughout the city all dedicated to different cases. The XID however report to Xion themselves. XID is called in for deeper rooted investigations such as corporate murders, grand theft, terrorism and so on. XID is known to have a more relaxed attitude than the XLA, who is known more for pursuing a target based on information from the XID.

Project Mercy These helpful medics are donned in exosuits with jetpacks and often save people from disasters, the people who join this project are referred to as “Angels”. They often have issues with the local authorities but nothing that stops them from being good in a world full of bad. The Ravens Ravens are more on the shady side, nobody knows if they can trust them; unless money is involved. They're almost like a cult that decides who they allow to hire them. Ravens have a strong set of hireable skills: as long as the job is of benefit to fighting the latest law they disagree with. This group takes their name after the freedom fighters who freed the minds of androids during the android revolution. They tend to think like the original rebellion as well. But a little more creepy now. Most of these weirdos are seen wearing tattered dark purple cloaks with a raven head symbol on the back.
