นับเป็นระยะเวลากว่า 50 ปีที่ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง มีพระมหากรุณาธิคุณต่อการอนุรักษ์ และสืบสานภูมิปัญญาการถักทอผืนผ้าและหัตถกรรมไทย เริ่ มต้นเมื่อครั้ งที่ได้ตามเสด็จ พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพล อดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร ไปทรงเยี่ยมราษฎรในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ เมื่อวันที่ 2 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2498 ได้ทอดพระเนตรเห็น ประชาชนที่มาเฝ้าฯ รับเสด็จ นุ่งผ้าซิ่ นที่สวยงาม จึงมีพระราชด� ำริว่าควรน� ำภูมิปัญญาของราษฎรที่ได้ทอผ้าไว้ใช้กันในครัวเรือนมาพัฒนา เป็นอาชีพเสริม เพื่อสร้างรายได้เสริมจุนเจือครอบครัว ต่อมาทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้จัดตั้ งมูลนิธิส่งเสริมศิลปาชีพในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้า สิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 21 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2519 เพื่อฝึกอาชีพเสริมให้กับราษฎร อีกทั้ งยังเป็นการอนุรักษ์และสืบสานภูมิปัญญา การสร้างสรรค์ศิลปหัตถกรรมไทยให้คงอยู่อย่างยั่ งยืน พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรรามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา สนองพระมหากรุณาธิคุณในการปฏิบัติพระราชกิจงานด้านศิลปาชีพ ตั้ งแต่เมื่อวันที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2565 เป็นต้นมา ด้วยทรงเห็นว่า สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา มีพระปรีชาสามารถทางด้านศิลปะและ การออกแบบ อันเป็นการสนองพระเดชพระคุณในการอนุรักษ์และพัฒนามูลนิธิส่งเสริมศิลปาชีพในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ให้มีความเจริญก้าวหน้า เป็นการสืบสานพระราชปณิธานอันยิ่ งใหญ่ในสมเด็จย่าของพระองค์ ในการฟื้ นฟูภูมิปัญญาทางหัตถศิลป์ที่เป็น มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของชาติ พระองค์ตั้ งพระทัยมั่นในการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมอาชีพการสร้างสรรค์ผืนผ้าให้เป็นอาชีพที่ยั่ งยืน มีเกียรติและ มีความภาคภูมิใจในตนเอง สืบสาน รักษา และต่อยอดภารกิจการอนุรักษ์ผ้าทอพื้นถิ่ นอันทรงคุณค่าให้คงอยู่คู่แผ่นดิน สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา สนพระทัยงานด้านศิลปาชีพมาตั้ งแต่ยังทรงพระเยาว์ ได้โดยเสด็จ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ไปทรงเยี่ยมสมาชิกศิลปาชีพในภูมิภาคต่างๆ อยู่เสมอ พระองค์ทรง รับรู้ว่าสมเด็จย่าทรงให้ความส� ำคัญกับการอนุรักษ์ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่ นที่ถูกส่งต่อมาจากบรรพบุรุษ จึงนับเป็นอีกหนึ่งในพระกรณียกิจที่ส� ำคัญยิ่ ง ในการแบ่งเบาพระราชภารกิจของ พระบาทสมเด็จพระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว และสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าฯ พระบรมราชินี ที่ทรงสืบสาน รักษา และต่อยอดโครงการอันเนื่องมาจากพระราชด� ำริใน พระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร และสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ซึ่งหนึ่งในนั้นคือ มูลนิธิส่งเสริมศิลปาชีพใน สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา เสด็จไปพระราชทานขวัญก� ำลังใจให้แก่สมาชิกศิลปาชีพและพระราชทาน แนวพระด� ำริในการพัฒนาการสร้างสรรค์ผืนผ้าที่มีความร่วมสมัยและเป็นสากล ทรงสนับสนุนเรื่องการหาช่องทางใหม่ๆ ในการจ� ำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์ เช่น การจัดงานจ� ำหน่ายผืนผ้าและงานหัตถศิลป์จากมูลนิธิ ในโอกาสส� ำคัญต่างๆ ทรงให้ความส� ำคัญกับการฝึกอบรมช่างทอและช่างฝีมือ ทรงแบ่งปันแนวพระด� ำริเรื่องโทนสีที่อยู่ในความนิยม ทรงให้ความส� ำคัญในเรื่องการย้อมเส้นใยด้วยสีย้อมจากธรรมชาติที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิงแวดล้อม ่ ทรงส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนคนไทยหันมาสวมใส่ผ้าไทย เพื่อเป็นการเสริมสร้างเอกลักษณ์ผ้าไทยให้เป็นที่ยอมรับทั้ งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ โดยทรงเป็นต้นแบบด้วยฉลองพระองค์ที่ตัดเย็บด้วยผ้าไทยมาโดยตลอด It has been more than 50 years that Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother preserved and carried on the wisdom of fabric weaving and Thai handicrafts which started when Her Majesty followed His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great to visit the people in the Northeast on December 2, 1955, and witnessed the local people in the audience wearing beautiful Thai traditional skirts. Therefore, Her Majesty had an idea that this wisdom of the weavers should not be used only in the households, but also developed to create side occupation and generate additional income for the whole families. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother established The SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand on July 21, 1976, to provide additional occupational training for the people. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua graciously allowed HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya to express the royal gratitude towards His Majesty’s benevolence in performing royal duties in the Arts and Crafts since February 20, 2022, with the view that HRH The Princess has specific talent in art and design. This is in response to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother’s grace in preserving and developing The SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand towards progress. It is the continuation of the great aspirations of the Royal Grandmother in restoring the wisdom of craftsmanship that is the cultural heritage of the nation. Therefore, HRH The Princess is determined to support and promote the profession of fabric creation to be a sustainable occupation with honor and self-esteem of the weavers, to inherit, maintain and build on the mission of preserving valuable local weaving fabrics to remain with the country. HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya was interested in The SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand since childhood when HRH The Princess followed Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother to visit the members of The SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand in different regions, making HRH The Princess realizes that Her Majesty places great importance on preserving the local wisdom that has long been passed down from the ancestors. Therefore, it is one of the most important royal duties to lighten the royal duties of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother who inherited, maintained and continued the projects due to the royal initiatives in His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, one of which is The SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand. As HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya offered morale and encouragement to the members of The SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand and bestowed the development of the creation of contemporary and universal fabrics, supporting them to find new channels in selling products, such as organizing a sale of fabrics and handicrafts from the foundation on various important occasions. HRH The Princess gave importance to the training of weavers and craftsmen, shared ideas on popular color tones, emphasized the importance of dyeing fibers with natural and environmentally friendly dyes, as well as encouraged Thai people to wear more Thai fabrics in order to strengthen the identity of Thai fabrics to be accepted both domestically and internationally. HRH The Princess has always been a role model in using Thai fabrics all along.

Since February 20, 2022, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua graciously allowed HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya to express the royal gratitude towards His Majesty’s benevolence in performing royal duties in overseeing the operation of the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles with the viewpoint that HRH The Princess has specific talent in art and fashion design. This is in response to His Majesty’s grace in preserving Thai arts and culture to remain as the art of the nation. HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya is therefore determined to continue, preserve and extend the royal duties in the preservation of Thai handicraft fabrics in Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother that has been bestowed due to the royal initiatives on the operation and development of the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles to keep up with the newcoming eras, to organize exhibitions that provide knowledge and inspiration to people, to build the Museum of Textiles as a center for collecting knowledge about fabrics and costumes according to the aspirations of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother who intended for the Textile Museum to be a sustainable source of learning. On this auspicious occasion where Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother is celebrating the 90th royal anniversary, HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya bestowed a royal initiative upon the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles to display an exhibition in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty’s 90th royal anniversary, the “Decades of Style: The Royal Wardrobe of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit”, where HRH The Princess took the position of the Chief Advisor and Chief Curator herself. This exhibition displays the royal attires of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother from different eras to demonstrate the integration of science and art and blending them together perfectly, as well as to commemorate the royal grace of Her Majesty in promoting local weaving handicrafts that elevates the well-being of the community and to preserve the national cultural treasures to remain indefinitely in Thailand.

สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้จัดตั้ งโรงฝึกศิลปาชีพในสวนจิตรลดา ขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2521 ปัจจุบันคือ “สถาบันสิริกิติ์ ” ที่เป็นศูนย์กลางในการฝึกอบรมราษฎรที่ทรงรับมาจากครอบครัวชาวนาชาวไร่ เมื่อครั้ งเสด็จฯ ไปทรงเยี่ยมราษฎร และพระราชทานพระราชวโรกาสให้มาฝึกอบรมงานด้านศิลปาชีพแขนงต่างๆ ทรงจัดหาครูและช่างฝีมือผู้เชี่ยวชาญ มาถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้และภูมิปัญญาหัตถศิลป์ไทยให้แก่เยาวชนคนรุ่นหลังได้ฝึกฝนด้วยความวิริยอุตสาหะ พัฒนาทักษะจนกลายเป็น “ช่างสถาบันสิริกิติ์ ” ที่เกิดจากพระวิสัยทัศน์ในการ “สร้างคน” ของสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรรามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้ สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา สนองพระมหากรุณาธิคุณในการปฏิบัติพระราชกิจงานด้านศิลปาชีพ ดูแลการด� ำเนินงานของสถาบันสิริกิติ์ ในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ ตั้ งแต่วันที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2565 เป็นต้นมา ด้วยทรงเห็นว่า สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา สนพระทัยในงานศิลปะและงานสร้างสรรค์ผืนผ้า อันเป็นการสนองพระเดชพระคุณในการอนุรักษ์และ พัฒนาสถาบันสิริกิติ์ ให้คงอยู่เป็นสถาบันหลักในการอนุรักษ์มรดกหัตถศิลป์ไทย ตามพระราชประสงค์ของสมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา จึงทรงตั้ งพระทัยมันในการสืบสาน รักษา และต่อยอดพระราชปณิธานอันยิ ่ งใหญ่ ่ และพระราชกรณียกิจใน สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง สมเด็จย่าของพระองค์ ในการเชิดชูผลงาน ประณีตศิลป์ชั้นสูงให้คงอยู่คู่แผ่นดินไทย พระองค์เสด็จไปยังสถาบันสิริกิติ์ สวนจิตรลดา ทรงทดลองปฏิบัติกิจกรรมสาธิตในหมวดงานต่างๆ อาทิ งานถมเงิน-ถมทอง งานค ร่� ำเงิน-ค ร่� ำทอง งานลงยาราชาวดี งานปักผ้าและทอผ้า งานเเกะสลักไม้ งานจักสานย่านลิเภา พระราชทาน ค� ำแนะน� ำในการออกเเบบที่ร่วมสมัยไปประยุกต์ใช้ และได้พระราชทานแนวทางพระด� ำริในการพัฒนาสถาบันสิริกิติ์ ให้มีความเจริญก้าวหน้า เป็นศูนย์กลางในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานหัตถศิลป์ไทย สมดังพระราชปณิธานในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนี พันปีหลวง ต่อไปอย่างยั่ งยืน Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother graciously established the Royal Arts and Crafts Workshop in Chitralada Villa of Dusit Palace in 1978, which at present became the “Queen Sirikit Institute.” It is the center to train the people selected from the farmer families when Her Majesty went to visit the people and offered them opportunities to be trained in various fields of arts and crafts. Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother provided teachers and expert craftsmen to pass on the knowledge and wisdom of Thai handicrafts to the younger generations to practice with perseverance, developing their skills to become “the Craftsmen of the Queen Sirikit Institute”, thanks to Her Majesty’s vision of “creating the people.” His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua graciously allowed HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya to express the royal gratitude towards His Majesty’s benevolence in performing royal duties overseeing the SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand and supervising the operation of the Queen Sirikit Institute since February 20, 2022, with the view that HRH The Princess has specific talent in art and creating fabrics. This is in response to Her Majesty’s grace in preserving and developing the Queen Sirikit Institute to remain as the center of institute for preserving Thai handicraft heritage according to the wishes of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya is therefore determined to continue, maintain and extend the great royal aspirations and royal duties of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother in glorifying works of exquisite art to remain with the nation. HRH The Princess visited Queen Sirikit Institute at Chitralada Villa, Dusit Palace and experimented with demonstration activities in various categories such as silver and gold nielloware, silver and gold inlaying, the Rachawadee enamel work, embroidery, weaving, wood carving, basketry using Lipao vine plant. Realising the value of Thai Textiles, she set her kind to preserve and upgrade them for wider recognition, most notably Nakhon Si Thammarat province’s Pha Yok, an ancient heritage enhanced by adding an extra Weft yarn to create a prominent bulging pattern on the fabrics popular among the upper class. Her visit brought joy to the local people as she shared with them ideas to expand their products, both in terms of design and business. Her advice covers the use of decorative Manorah beads in Phatthalung province, beading embroidery on Ranong province’s Pateh fabric as well as motifs that make Nakhon Si Thammarat’s bulrush basketry more outstanding. In this updated version designed by Tirapan Wannarat, the Princess explored the land where woven textiles have a long history and unique features. Her outfit reflects how the style of Thai silk outfits can remain exquisite even after over 50 years. The goal of this visit is to preserve Lamphun’s cultural heritage such as silk brocade. HRH The Princess observed the ways of life that follow the Queen Mother’s teachings, through which local craftsmanship has been sustained. She also explored local weaving techniques and patterns known as Lamphun silk brocade’s identities namely Jasmine Sambac with pollen, applied Lamphun mixed pattern and Opium flower pattern. The techniques involve alternately lifting warp silk threads upward and downward and inserting weft silk threads or gold threads to create a distinctive bulging pattern. While admiring the techniques, she emphasized the use of natural dyes to both protect the local environment and to strengthen local identity as they are made from locally-sourced materials unique to each locality. In addition, she advised on fashion-oriented colour matching compatible with the famed technique and features of Lamphun silk brocade. Apart from exploring the techniques and beauty of local textiles, the Princess viewed an exhibition on formal Thai traditional costumes made with silk brocade and rare Lanna silk as well as that on the bygone fashion of Northern royals and aristocrats. In 2007, the Lamphun silk became Thailand’s first GI (Geographical Indication)-certified fabric and was subsequentky registered in Indonesia and India. On 15th November 2020, HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya explored the making of the community’s famed indigo-dyed natural textiles, thoroughly studying the techniques and history of how local people have been optimising indigo to make distinctive and recognisable household clothing. This has laid the foundation for the development of “Donkoi Model” to promote knowledge of community cultures, weaving culture and indigo dyeing and natural dyes as Thailand’s weaving heritage. Less than a month after her first visit, the Princess travelled to the northeastern province again to explore more local handicrafts at “Suebsan Anurak Silp Pha Thin Thai Damrong Wai Nai Phaendin” (Inheriting and Conserving Arts of Thai traditional Fabrics to Remain in Our Land) fair where she was welcomed by people from 20 northeastern provinces. As expansion of the heritage is key to the comprehensive development of the textile-weaving ways of life, HRH The Princess spent a great deal of time examining and giving her constructive feedback. Her concept of preservation covers both keeping the weaving legacy and protecting the environment, hence her emphasis on the use of natural dyes such as tree barks and leaves instead of chemical ones. The event also includes a symposium titled “Promoting and Developing the Image of Thai Fabrics to be International,” attended by design manufacturers, students, fashion media, weaving communities and producers of lifestyle products. This reflects the potential for wider development and how the acquired knowledge can be further expanded and shared. สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา เสด็จไปทอดพระเนตรนิทรรศการเฉลิมพระเกียรติ พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทร รามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 10 และเสด็จไปยังบริเวณนิทรรศการ “ผ้าไทยใส่ให้สนุก” ซึ่งประกอบด้วยผลิตภัณฑ์ด้านผ้าและงานหัตถกรรม 3 ภูมิภาค โดยจัดแสดงกี่เจ้าฟ้าฯ ผ้าย้อมครามลวดลายพระราชทาน และเสื้อผ้าที่ออกแบบ ด้วยผ้าไทยโดยนักออกแบบแถวหน้าของประเทศ 18 ชุด ความส� ำคัญของการเสด็จครั้ งนี้คือการเสด็จไปทอดพระเนตรการออกแบบต่อยอดการเพิ่ มมูลค่าให้กับผ้าไทยในโซนแพรพรรณชั้นเลิศ โดยกรมการพัฒนาชุมชน เชิญผู้ประกอบการ OTOP มาน� ำเสนอผ้าที่มีความโดดเด่นเป็นเอกลักษณ์ นอกจากนี้ยังมีโซน Modern Design ที่น� ำเสนอผลงานการออกแบบและตัดเย็บผ้าไทยของคนรุ่นใหม่ เป็นการผสมผสานความเป็นไทยเข้ากับแฟชั่นที่ทันสมัย พร้อมแสดงผลงาน จาก Young Designer Contest 2020 จาก 76 จังหวัดทั่ วประเทศ โซน OTOP First Lady เรื่องราวความเป็นมาของผืนผ้าและจ� ำหน่าย ผืนผ้าส� ำเร็จรูปพร้อมตัดเย็บ คัดเลือกจากชุดเสื้อผ้าแฟชั่นระดับพรีเมี่ยมที่ได้รับความนิยมและมียอดจ� ำหน่ายสูง และสุดท้ายโซนประชารัฐ ทั้ งหมดเชื่อมโยงวงจรการผลิตผ้าไทยที่พระองค์ทอดพระเนตรและทรงเห็นถึงมิติอันหลากหลายของแวดวงผ้าไทย “Valuable New Year Gifts Available at OTOP City 2020” is the concept of OTOP City 2020 in celebration of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s reign the opening of which HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya presided over. Part of the fair was the “Pha Thai Sai Hai Sanook” exhibition where textile and handicraft products from three regions were on display alongside the royal loom, indigo-dyed in royal pattern, and 18 outfits. At the fair, HRH The Princess also viewed a design exhibition showcasing unique and outstanding fabrics by OTOP Community Development Department at “Prae Pan Chan Lerd” zone. At “Modern Design” zone, she witnessed how Thai textile outfits by a new generation of designers reflected how Thai identity could be integrated with modern fashion. Also in the fair were “Young Designer Contest 2020” design works from 76 provinces, OTOP First Lady zone with information on textiles and ready-to-wear clothes selected from the best-selling, high quality fashion outfits and Pracharat zone. HRH The Princess explored textiles and handicrafts from 71 handicraft communities from 14 provinces—53 of which textiles and clothing and 18 handicrafts. Aiming to preserve local identity while developing the products towards international standard, HRH The Princess gave advice on production process, quality and patterns for future development. HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya closely inspected both the exhibition and demonstration and shared her thoughts on how to improve products such as expanding the size of the handbag while adding a smaller design into the pattern to make it more fashionable for everyday use. สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา มีพระปณิธานในการสืบสานการจัดประกวดผ้าไทยดังเมื่อครั้ งที่ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้า สิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง เสด็จพระราชด� ำเนินแปรพระราชฐานไปยังพระต� ำหนักภูพานราชนิเวศน์ พระต� ำหนัก ทักษิณราชนิเวศน์ พระต� ำหนักภูพิงค์ราชนิเวศน์ เนื่องด้วยเหตุนี้พระองค์จึงโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้มีการจัดแสดงและประกวดผืนผ้าในทุกภูมิภาค กรมการพัฒนาชุมชน กระทรวงมหาดไทย จึงได้รับสนองแนวพระด� ำริใน สมเด็จพระเจ้าลูกเธอ เจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรี นารีรัตนราชกัญญา และ ด� ำเนินโครงการการประกวดผ้าลายพระราชทานขึ้น การประกวดผ้าลายพระราชทาน “ผ้าลายขอเจ้าฟ้าสิริวัณณวรีฯ” นี้ กระตุ้นให้กลุ่มทอผ้า ในทุกภูมิภาคพัฒนาฝีมือ ค้นหาเทคนิควิธีการในการรังสรรค์ผ้าไทยให้มีความร่วมสมัย ตรงใจกลุ่มเป้าหมายคนรุ่นใหม่ น� ำมาซึ่งการสร้างงาน สร้างรายได้ให้แก่ช่างทอผ้าและชุมชนอย่างมหาศาล HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya intended to make the textile competition a regular activity similarly to when The Queen Mother awarded gold necklace to winning weavers during a special gathering night of all weavers, somewhat became a tradition during her seasonal residency at Bhubing Rajanives, Phu Phan Rajanives and Thaksin Rajanives Palaces. With this in mind, HRH The Princess suggested the idea of a design contest to Community Development Department to ensure sustainable development.
