Goodwill Tour. FFA take their
state officers across Tennessee
to experience the agricultural
industry.

presentation to staff of TWH-
BEA. We were very impressed
with the group and the profes-
sionalism of the presentation.

My name is Morgan Norris and I have been riding and
showing horses since I was born. I am currently the President
of TWHYA. I have been showing Walking Horses since I was
in leadline. Now, I currently show Walking Horses, Racking
Horses, and Percherons.

What is something about you that people might be
surprised to learn. Well most of my walking and racking horse
friends think it’s surprising that I don’t just ride Percherons but
I also drive them. This year we are planning on having me drive
a team.

be? Venice, Italy.

plan on excelling with all the horses I show, Walking, Racking,

I am originally from Lewisburg, TN, but now live in Columbia with my mom, Nancy Lynn (Beech) Greene. I am the 5th
generation of my family to raise TWHs. I help at our family farm in Belfast, TN, but prefer to trail ride rather than show. I am the
current TWHYA Vice President.

cause of the COVID-19 virus, my main goal right now is being

How did you get started in the horse business? I was born into it. My first horse was born just a few months before me. I
was trail riding her by myself by the time we were four.

when my grandmother, Betty Sue Hazelwood, brings her special lemonade to horseshows. Also, my cousin AJ has this crazy abil-
ity to spot four leaf clovers while walking across the yard. He often gives them to me before we leave for a horse show. My lucky

My name is Jayden Jackson and I am the daughter of Chad and Jacquelyn Way and the granddaughter of Jack Heffington
and Nancy Elliott. I was born into a family of horse enthusiasts, so obviously I have been involved with horses for as long as I can
remember. I am a co-captain of my cheerleading team. I also am a competitor in beauty pageants. I enjoy spending time with my
friends, going to the barn, and snuggling with my two French
bulldogs. I am a current TWHYA board member.

Favorite horse? It’s a toss up between the horse I started showing and still show, Gamblers Golden Flame, and my horse,
WC Cash Me Outside.
Does owning or riding a horse help you in school or in life? It encourages me to finish my school, so I can go to horse
shows and ride.
What is the best thing your horse does for you? The best thing he does for me is he makes me laugh, smile, and he makes
me happy in general.
Do you have a favorite horse movie? I love Flicka.
What do you enjoy most about the horse industry? I enjoy meeting new people, getting to see friends from out of state,
and seeing the amazing horses!
Do you have any horse show rituals, superstitions, good luck charms, or lucky back numbers? I really don’t, but I do
have a favorite number.

If your horse was a human, what would his/her job be? Cash’s job would be a comedian.

talking about reining horses with Craig Schmeral.

be? The Netherlands
Do you have a goal for the year ahead (or beyond)? My
goal (in the horse world) is to teach my horse to canter and
show in 3 gaited classes

you live? Always do your best.
Who is someone you look up to or admire? My Papa
Who is someone in the horse business that you look up
to/admire? Even though I look up to my Papa, In the Horse
world, I look up to Blaise Broccard.
How did you get started in the horse business? I loved
horses since I was little and started taking lessons at a TWH
barn. I started showing, then I got my Gelding, Finally Mid-
night, for my 8th birthday
Aside from horses, what is your favorite hobby or pastime? I like reading, writing, and being outside.
What is your favorite memory with a Tennessee Walking Horse? My Favorite memory is either winning a state champion-
ship with my gelding in 2016 or showing a friends horse at the Celebration.
Who was your first horse? Horse- Dulcet (Arabian Crossbred) TWH- Finally Midnight
When/where did you win your first Blue ribbon? I dont remember my very first Blue, But with Midnight we won at the
2016 HAWHA Spring Classic in the 4 and under Trail Pleasure Class.

riding Midnight helps me escape from all my worries and stresses of life.
What is the best thing your horse does for you? He listens. I can talk to him, cry in his mane, or just sit with him. He is
always there for me.
