The Fusion TTA implant consists of a wedge and dynamic tension plate, both constructed from Cp-Titanium and fixed into position using an Ellis pin and titanium screw. The wedge has
a novel design and is porous with characteristics which are shown to optimise bone in-growth and fixation. This porosity has an architecture which is akin to trabecular bone. However,
because the manufacturing process is infinitely flexible we are able to incorporate solid sections, where appropriate, into the designs for maximum benefit. The plate is solid, and can be
manipulated into the required shape, to conform with the shape of the tibia. Instrumentation has been designed and manufactured to a high standard to provide the means to carry out the
surgery efficiently and accurately. Stainless steel has been used for this purpose to give the instruments the correct hardness and provide the necessary durability for long-term service use.

The Fusion TTA Planner application is used as
an aid in the pre-operative planning process
for Tibial Tuberosity Advancement surgery.
The user uploads a pre-op X-Ray, using the
instructions given by the app, plots landmarks

with the cursor to calculate the necessary

for free on Apple iPad devices.

In cases with patella luxation in addition to cranial cruciate rupture it is possible to move the tibial tubercle either laterally or medially to
help re-align the quadriceps mechanism. This is achieved by adding TTA Spacers either to the cranial screw or the caudal cage screw.

TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy)

TPLO is used to stablise the stifle joint after ruptures of the cranial
cruciate ligament. The cruciate ligament prevents forward and back-
wards movement of the femur on the tibia bone.

This surgery involves creating a curved osteotomy in the top of the
tibia and then rotation of the plateau segment, this is done until the
previous slope in the bone is no longer present. The bone is
subsequently fixed in this new position using
a bone plate and screws.
