Preface

Puji dan syukur senantiasa kami panjatkan ke hadirat Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas selesainya penerbitan buku ajar ini. Berkat

limpahan rahmat dan anugerah Tuhan Yang Maha Pemurah, kami dapat kembali menerbitkan dan menghadirkan buku ajar

ini. Dan kiranya, karena partisipasi dan kontribusi para siswa dan guru pula kami masih tetap dapat menerbitkan buku ini.

Buku ajar ini diterbitkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan para siswa dan guru akan buku-buku referensi, pen­damping, atau

pelengkap untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar-mengajar. Sebagaimana diketahui, kegiatan belajar-mengajar seringkali

dianggap dan dirasa kurang cukup jika sepenuhnya hanya mengandalkan buku teks yang sudah distandarisasi sehingga

perlu pula diadakan buku-buku lain yang dapat berperan menjadi pendamping dan pelengkap. Nah, buku ajar inilah salah

satu alternatif yang dapat berfungsi menjadi pendamping dan pelengkap buku teks yang selama ini sudah ada.

Sebagai buku ajar, buku ini kami susun berdasarkan kurikulum yang berlaku dalam dunia pendidikan kita, yakni Kurikulum

2013. Berdasarkan kurikulum ini, proses belajar-mengajar difokuskan pada pembelajaran saintifik untuk membentuk

kompetensi pengetahuan, kompetensi keterampilan, dan kompetensi sikap. Pembelajaran saintifik merupakan pembelajaran

yang terdiri atas aktivitas mengamati, menanya, menalar (mengeksplorasi), mencoba (mengasosiasi), dan membentuk jejaring

(mengomunikasikan). Selain itu, buku ini kami susun terintegrasi dengan pendidikan karakter yang kami harapkan dapat

membantu pembentukan karakter peserta didik menjadi berkarakter mulia.

Kami berharap, buku ajar ini dapat membantu siswa dalam menguasai kompetensi seperti yang disyaratkan Kurikulum

2013 Edisi Revisi. Sungguh merupakan kegembiraan dan kepuasan bagi kami apabila hal itu dapat terwujud. Dan untuk

membuat harapan itu menjadi kenyataan, kami akan terus berupaya untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas buku

How to Make Chicken Teriyaki

A. Ingredients:
Here are some ingredients to make chicken teriyaki, as follow.
1. 3/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce.
2. 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed.
3. 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar (substitutes: lemon juice).
4. 1 tablespoon grated ginger.
5. 2 garlic cloves, minced.

and transfer chicken pieces to a plate. If you do not have corn starch or if you prefer a thin teriyaki
sauce, you can heat the sauce for another 3–5 minutes to reduce and gently thicken sauce.
5. If you prefer a thicker teriyaki sauce, in a small bowl, whisk together water and cornstarch.
While whisking sauce, pour cornstarch mixture into teriyaki sauce and allow sauce to thicken,
about 30 second, remove from heat.
6. Pour teriyaki sauce over chicken pieces and serve over steamed rice. Serve with additional teriyaki
sauce and garnish with sliced green onions. Slice chicken before serving, if desired.
