APPRECIATION

Iam so grateful that you took me under your wing
when I first started to work as your student-
assistant. Truth be told, I was skeptical back then
with what to do and how to act properly the way
I should be. I was only 16 that time so I was not really
serious with what I was doing. I did not make a huge deal
out of it because I thought I was too young to carry such
a big responsibility. I had so many reasons to give up but
you with your chinita smile, you with your subtlety and
advice has later helped me go on with my life. So now,
I am writing this open letter to finally and properly say
THANK YOU.

Thank you because you humbled yourself for me so that When I walked in your door, I knew nothing. Now, I know

Life began with waking up and loving my mother’s
face. I grow up with a mother who taught me to
believe in me. I never would have been the person
I am today if not because of her.
I learned to be confident with myself because of her. She
taught me a lot of things but never did I hear her say to
give up on anything. My mom never failed to support
me through good times and bad. She was always there
whenever I need her and even when I thought I don’t.
According to Sophia Loren, “When you are a mother,
you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother
always has to think twice, one for herself and one for her
children.” Like other moms, my mother is overprotective.
I sometimes misunderstand this because as we grow
we tend to think that our opinions are always right. But
in the end we somehow make things work because of
communication.
My dad passed away eight years ago and since then my
mom has been my best friend and my dad at the same
time.

I am glad that during my stay with you, we got super

me. Thank you for always teaching me something, for
