2020-2021 did not seem like a very promising session.
The world was down on its knees. Covid-19 appeared
as an uninvited, long-term guest, shattering not only
lives and livelihood but also the spirit of all souls.

Amidst challenging times of Covid-19, when people
struggled to make ends meet, the learned team at
Shiva Shiksha Sadan, who are continuously trained
over future skills, armed themselves with required IT
gadgets to impart uninterrupted learning and set
another benchmark for others to follow. Battling the
war of Covid-19, the institution has carved an
exemplary model in the digital world.

Constantly challenging and nurturing the thoughts of
our students, the team at Shiva endeavoured to initiate
the first online magazine, e-Shivanjali, in 2020.
Fascinating, right? The massive success of Volume-1
compelled us to build e-Shivanjali into a quarterly
practice.

As the head of this long-standing institution, I take
immense pride in bringing out Volume-3 of e-Shivanjali,
which celebrates the success of every ounce of effort
put in by students and teachers combined. In these
testing times, the initiative of the online school
magazine has given an opportunity to students to churn
the wheels of their minds and run their fingers on
paper.

people, climate change is bigger than election or re-election. It's life or
death ." - Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez Before the COVID pandemic, millions
of young people took to the streets to force decision makers to
understand the climate crisis we are facing. While protests went digital
,the issue of climate change is as pressing as ever. Climate change is all
around us and we will be the generation facing its impact to the
maximum. Save Mother Earth. Follow the three r's of environment -
reduce, reuse ,recycle . Plant more trees. Solar panels and windmills are
amazing but what if we could harness the sun ? Awareness and
commitment will be of essence for a shared future on this planet.
Assessment of knowledge and awareness is a must in any society. As of
now , we live in a world , where knowledge is a mouse - click away.
Although attending Virtual School has hit each one differently but all the
stakeholders have adapted to each of it in the most constructive manner
and have made their way comfortable. Learning can be fun. I know you
love listening to stories . But, reading it yourself is greater fun. Read
value based stories . There are values to be learnt from these stories. You
will find answers to questions like - should I really be so selfish , am I
doing the right thing , will this make my parents proud ,am I feeling angry
.... and many others. I want you to develop an interest in reading, writing ,
learning new words and expressing fluently in English. Practice good
values always ,so that you radiate joy wherever you go. This will enable
you to respect and introspect , making you an even more beautiful child.

MY SCHOOL- WHERE THE JOURNEY STARTS

A school is a place where not only we learn to read and write, not only we
play or have fun, but also we learn the journey of life. Sometimes we get
scolded by our teachers and sometimes praised too. Sometimes we get new
teachers and sometimes previous as well. We make new friends and enjoy
with them. We make some aims and try to make them true. We try, try and
try and after solving many problems we get success. The success we get is
just because of our teachers’ hard work.
One day, when we are grown up, we shall miss our school days and we will
wish to get them back. The fun, the scolding, all will fall from our eyes as tear
drops. Actually, the happiness in our heart changes our wish into a drop of
water that comes through the eyes on our face. Yes, everyone says, "
Childhood is the best time " but nobody says, "School is the best place to
spend childhood".

THE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION

We all know the importance of education in our life. Education has become a
need in this modern era. There is no purpose of life without education. Our
country is a developing one and to develop it at a rapid rate, firstly we will
have to develop ourselves. There is no contentment in an uneducated life.
Education is something which cannot be taken away from us. Education
teaches us about our fundamental rights and makes us independent.
Everybody thinks that purpose of education is to earn money but, the main
purpose is something else. In my opinion, education is needed to gain
respect in the society. Education is to bring about a change in the society, kill
all evils and help the unprivileged. We can give a logical judgement in a
conflict if we are educated. We can speak confidently in the society. Malcolm
X has stated, “Education is a passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to
those who prepare for today”. We can make our dreams come true through
education only. We have to be aware of our responsibilities as an educated
person. I hope we have understood the purpose of education in our life.

THE ANGRY MOUSE

Once upon a time, there was a mouse named Chiku. He Loved to sleep. Once when he fell
asleep, a bird started chirping there. Due to this, he woke up and he became very angry. He
asked the bird, “Why have you come here and disturbed me?” The bird said, “I am sorry, sir!
The woodcutter cut the tree on which I live, so I had to come here.”
Chiku went to the woodcutter and asked, “Why did you cut the tree? Because of you, my
sleep got disturbed”. The woodcutter said, “Oh, sorry! I had to cut the tree because my
master needed wood”.
Then Chiku went to the master and said, “Why did you ask your servant to cut the tree? He
cut the tree; the bird came near me and started chirping and my sleep got disturbed”.
Then the master said, “Dear Chiku, Calm Down! Instead of going to the woodcutter and then
coming to me, you should have gone to another place and took a nap. This way you could
have slept. Just because you got angry, you wasted your rest time.
Then Chiku realized that it was only his loss to get angry.
Moral: We should not get angry about petty things, as it is only our loss.

Some people love pets; some hate them. I care for all animals but I love dogs. That's why I made
efforts to collect knowledge about them. The dogs can smell feelings and always try their best to
make their owner happy. They are emotionally attached to their owners. Pets only want love and
affection. If you care about them, they will leave no stone unturned to make you feel relaxed.
Some people beat them. These kinds of people are a black spot on humanity. The government is
also taking the actions necessary to stop cruelty against animals. We should also try our level best
to save them. I request all of you to feed at least one street dog and fulfil your duty of being a

No one is born perfect. We all are humans and we learn till our last breath. The moment we stop
learning and think we are perfect, we are no longer alive.
That is why always strive to be perfect. There is no doubt that this will make you a better person
overall. However, there is a fine line between trying to be perfect and thinking that you're perfect. If
you strive to be perfect, you bring along qualities such as persistence, determination and
consistency. If you think you are perfect and can't become any better, you will become obnoxious
and arrogant.
It would help if you always kept trying to improve, no matter how much you think you know. This
mindset would help you develop abilities and talents through hard work and learn to become
successful.
My suggestion for you is to strive to be the best you can be in. You can always improve upon
yourself. So do not take failures to heart. Treat them as a learning experience and channel the
disappointment into positive energy.

गगं ा एक प व नद है। भारत के लोग इसे ' गगं ा मैया' कहकर पुकारते ह। मरे े मन म भी मा-ं गगं ा के
तीक ा ह।ै पछले र ववार को मझु े ह र ार जाने का अवसर मला। म अपने माता- पता के साथ हर

क पौड़ी प ंचा। सुबह के 7:00 बजे थे। गंगा नद कलकल करती ई बह रही थी। हर क पौड़ी पर

Pollution is how toxins mix in the natural environment and make it harmful for
both human beings and animals. Plants also get affected by pollution. Air, water,
soil, and noise pollution are some prevalent forms of pollution. However, there are
other forms of pollution, light pollution, radioactive pollution, etc. Both natural and
human activities contribute to pollution. Volcanic eruptions or oil and gas leakage
can cause pollution.
Most human activities cause pollution. It is because of the consumerist approach
