An "urban black hole" is an area in the city that creates a rupture in the urban fabric to which it belongs by interrupting the continuity of continuous urban activity in it. These "black holes" are created as a result of a certain negative event that took place on the site, which leads the public to disliking the area and moving away from it, and thus we get abandoned and neglected areas in the city, sometimes in the size of dozens of dunams, even those with real potential or value.
In many cities in the world there are "urban black holes" that require rehabilitation. In this project we will focus on the area of the "Taas" complex located on the border of Tel Aviv - Givatayim, which for decades underwent severe ecological damage until it finally led to the formation of a massive "urban black hole" in the heart of Tel Aviv.
This project deals with providing a proposal for the restoration of the "urban black hole" that has been created in the "Taas" complex over the years, while achieving added value through the remains of the existing architecture on the site in order to raise public awareness of the issue to prevent similar "urban black holes" from forming in the future.
"חור שחור עירוני" הוא שטח בעיר היוצר קרע ברקמה העירונית לה הוא שייך על ידי קטיעת רצף הפעילות העירונית הרציפה בה. "חורים שחורים" אלה נוצרים כתוצאה מאירוע שלילי מסוים שהתרחש באתר המביא להתרחקות ולסלידת התושבים מהשטח ובכך אנו מקבלים שטחים נטושים ומוזנחים בעיר, לפעמים בגודל של כעשרות דונמים, ביניהם כאלה בעלי פוטנציאל של ממש.
בערים רבות בעולם ישנם "חורים שחורים עירוניים" הדורשים שיקום. בפרויקט זה נתמקד בשטח של מתחם תע"ש הממוקם על גבול תל אביב - גבעתיים, שעבר במשך עשרות שנים פגיעה אקולוגית קשה עד שלבסוף הובילה לכדי היווצרותו של "חור שחור עירוני" מאסיבי בלב תל אביב.
פרויקט זה עוסק במתן הצעה עבור שיקום "החור השחור העירוני" שנוצר במתחם תע"ש במרוצת השנים, תוך השגת ערך מוסף דרך שרידי האדריכלות הקיימת באתר לצורך העלאת מודעות ציבורית לנושא על מנת למנוע מ"חורים שחורים עירוניים" דומים להיווצר בעתיד.
