MESSAGE
‘’Things don’t happen, things are made to happen”
Walking down the memory lane it gives me immense Shri V.C. Surana
pride in knowing that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Chairman

has been tirelessly matching up with the changing
scenarios of the world today and is passing a legacy
of character and faith to their students, a heritage
that we keep sharing with the world time and again.

Principal's Message
‘The role of a leader is not to give greatness to Shri Deepak Dua
(Principal)
human beings, but to help them extract the
greatness they already have in them’'
Dear Readers,
Moving ahead one more year, I realize how each passing year leaves
behind thousands of memories that were both challenging and smooth
sailing. With reference to the special years of Covid 19 where the
upheavals did not just give me and my team a learning experience but
also opened up new avenues of teaching and organizing programs and
activities that led to continuing with the planned academic session for
all our students. It makes us feel proud as we analyze that though the
mode of conduct was more often blended still the objectives of learning
were never hampered. With the introduction of NEP 2020 we came
across many such fundamentals of achieving full human potential,
developing an equitable and just society, and promoting national
development. However, the fact of the matter is that though NEP has
been a very new policy for many but for us, at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan
Vidyashram Pratapnagar, we have always been working to extract the
best potential of our students and giving them a wholesome experience
of learning since the entire decade and even more. We are all the more
proud in stating that all these years our achievements and recognitions
have been a testimony to our practices and approaches that matched to
the NEP stated norms. Being encouraged with the overwhelming results
both at academic and co-scholastic fronts we promise that our pursuit
will always remain to offer the best of the practices to our students in
their hunt of learning and gaining. More than we say we have evidence
of all …take a glimpse of this year’s Bhavan Dhara, our Annual
Magazine and feel happy that your ward is in right hands.
Happy Reading.
Editor's Message
An experience of working in making of the School’s Annual
Magazine is as good as being an artisan who creates a master piece,
an artisan takes utmost care that every possible opportunity is
explored to let make his creation the best. This year when we started
working on the masterpiece, there arose an urge to explore every
aspect of learning that happens in school within the limitation of
brick and mortar. It was then that we realized that education was not
confined to classrooms but due to the blended learning the avenues
of acquiring knowledge was far beyond the conventional classrooms,
chairs, tables, blackboard and books. Happy was the experience when
we as team felt that the children were gifted and talented not just in
terms of grades at school but also in manner that they grasped the
skills required to become an accomplished learner. Now-a-days when Smt. Ranjeeta Bhatia
the idea of NEP-2020 resonates we delved into understanding how Editor
new education policy was a fresh concept here at school. To our
surprise we only realized that practices and approaches adopted by
our school have always been on the same model ever since day one.
Therefore, there was no room for doubt as we mention that umpteen
opportunities are given to our young learners so that their skills are
tapped and our students get education that is based on four pillars:
access, equity, quality and accountability. So for all those who pass
out of the school we are strongly of the opinion are students set to be
par with the global standards.
More than we say or claim, we would want all our readers to
experience the same.
We hope that every page that you browse through will have stories to
tell and evidences to establish the fact that learning is not the
product of teaching only rather learning is the product of the
participation in the activities by all our learners. Give them a chance
and see them perform wonders!!!

Student Editor Speaks...
As the last few months are left for us to leave school, I feel delighted to leave a trace of what and who I
am with the opportunity to be an editorial member of Bhavan Dhara 2020-21!
It has been a roller coaster from the day we were told about our responsibilities until today when we
completed the magazine.
Being a part of the editorial board not just taught me the technical skills of making a magazine or
working on a massive level but also familiarized me with how to manage everything, work under
deadline pressure and, most importantly, the importance of teamwork.
Without a doubt, I can say, that I have learnt more life and management lessons in these 4-5 months
than in the last 16 years of my life. We would start with dividing ourselves, then pick up on sections
one by one and then have final checks, and it was this effortless to make a magazine.
These months have not just made me understand how to deal with numerous files but also with all
varieties of people. One of the best things that I've learnt by being an editorial member is knowing
about colours and contrasts not just on pages but in real life too. It helped me understand that by
distributing ourselves on our interests, we could get the best out of ourselves and understand the
value of the team and teamwork.
Now that we end this journey here, I would like to thank everyone involved in the process, especially
Ms Ranjeeta Bhatia Ma'am for providing me with this opportunity and our team who tolerated me, my
non-sense talks, weird ideas and sometimes procrastinative behaviour for all these months.
Thank you! You all brought a change in me for a good reason!
