Marking the 75th Independence
Day with much gaiety and alacrity
students set the event in motion on
a virtual platform with a large
number of students, parents and
teachers being in attendance.
Primary children came up with a
mesmerising rendition invoking the
national fervour. A thoughtful
expression by the students made
each one realise a child can be the
father of a man. What better way
to celebrate Independence than to
encourage their self-expression,
boost their sense of achievement!
TEACHER'S DAY
A teacher is the eternal guru and guide
whose firm and loving grooming has shaped
generations from times immemorial. A
teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination
and instil love for learning. And to honor the
hard work and determination towards the
profession, students celebrated Teacher’s
Day with great gusto and gaiety. The
program was laden with a retro musical
fiesta, dance, role play highlighting glimpses
of online classes. After this the greetings and
wishes of Ex-Bhavanites surprised the
teachers and left them restoring wonderful
memories of yester years.
Thereafter, as a token of love and
appreciation the students arranged for fun
filled activities and games that made the day
memorable one .Teachers along with the
students sang song and played together
creating memories to cherish forever.
CHILDREN'S DAY
Childhood is all about being wild,
having fun and enjoying carefree life.
One should enjoy their childhood till
it lasts. Believing on this principle the
teachers got together to present a
short program for the students
making the occasion of Children’s
Day special and unforgettable.
Dancing to the tunes of the foot-
tapping numbers and imitating the
characters of Gattu and Battu
teachers presented a fun filled skit.
Wishes and greetings from the
mentors made them feel special and
loveable. Peels of laughter and loud
cheering added to the wholesome
celebration.
VOSAP-
THE ANNUAL ALUMNI MEET
3rd VOSAP Meet was organized on 25th Dec
2021. The gala witnessed a gathering of 100+
former students of all 7 batches of the school.
Former students entered the campus
enjoying the nostalgia of coming to school.
With a traditional welcome the Ceremonial
Heads of the School gave them a cozy
reception. The students' assemblage had
great time visiting the school campus
reminiscing their days at school. Fun-filled
activities and games with age old musical
antakshari led them to be living every
moment of the day. Showing their reverence
towards their alma-mater and teachers they
marked their presence. Thus, the Christmas
Eve had yet more special stories to be written
in the history of the school.

Literacy skills Inter Class Elocution
Literacy skills are a must-have in this fast-paced
world. All the skills needed for reading and
writing are the root of all knowledge. Students
that can't read effectively fail to grasp important
concepts, score poorly on tests and ultimately, fail
to meet educational milestones. The ultimate goal
of literacy instruction is to build a student's
comprehension, writing skills, and overall skills in
communication. It allows students to seek out
information, explore subjects in-depth and gain a
deeper understanding of the world around them.
The majority of activities incorporated literacy
skills for students, and teachers too, to improve
upon them. A solid foundation in literacy can be
an essential aspect of career advancement or
success.

Self-awareness is the ability to recognise your
strengths, challenges, emotions, maintain
positive self-perception and demonstrate a sense
of self-efficiency. It is the secret weapon of the
21st Century, as it underpins nearly every other
skill. If you're self-aware, you can grow, improve,
learn, and get better and if not then you can end
up stagnant. Quite a few activities scattered
throughout the year were concentrated on
helping students identify their areas of strengths
and weaknesses. It helps us to become better

and as a result, helps individuals communicate
with clarity and intention and build better

Digital Literacy Virtual Book Launch event
Digital literacy is the ability to use information
and communication technologies to find,
evaluate, create, and communicate information,
requiring both cognitive and technical skills.
An array of online activities were conducted
during the pandemic which were beneficial in
improving the digital knowledge of students. It
creates new ways to teach and learn within the
classroom. Students are no longer confined to
just physical text when it comes to reading or
learning more about their possible interests.
Effective use of digital literacy plays a part in
this by promoting contextual awareness, using
both cognitive and technical skills.

BALWADI
INTRODUCTION
Learning is the process of constantly updating in an Smt.Suchita Mathur
ever changing world. The first five year experience the
most rapid changes of life and are critical in a child's (Balwadi Coordinator)
development. Children develop rapidly during this time;
physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Also,
the earliest years of a child's life are a key to predicting
ultimate success in their school and personal life. The
period from the age of three years until the beginning of
Class 1 in a mainstream school is called the Foundation
Stage of learning. All children should be given the
opportunity to experience the very best possible start to
their education. Learning at our school is based on the
fundamental principles of life; teaching the children to
be courageous, confident, disciplined, responsible and
loyal. Education at our school provides a foundation for
a lifetime of learning and is great fun too. We focus on
developing new era skills rather than only teaching kids
to read and write. We try to provide the best possible
environment for healthy development of young children
by providing a carefully planned and structured
environment in which the child grows and learns in a
natural way. I also take this opportunity to thank the
parents of our students for having bestowed their faith
and confidence in us. Your faith in us is our driving
force. So let's have some glimpses of very fundamental
new learning skills for kids developed in young
bhavanites all round the session that will allow them
confront the world on their own and with confidence.

Social and Cultural Awareness
Social and cultural awareness is an important
component to foster and maintain meaningful
relationship. The session began with an "Intro
Party", to make children familiar with their
peers and teachers'. "Mother's Day" marked
the respect and love for mothers. Spirit of
patriotism was raised through "Tricolor
Balloon Decoration". Further little ones got
an insight of their rich Indian culture by
celebrating 'Janmashtami', 'Diwali', 'Gandhi
Jayanti', 'Independence', 'Republic' and
'Teacher's Day'. The main attraction was
offline 'Christmas Celebration' in school
premises. Children enjoyed fun game and
dancing with Santa and peers. They made
their photographs clicked at selfie corners
with overwhelming joy.

CREATIVITY
"When students create, what they
imagine , they are in the driver's Seat" .
Creativity is a valuable skill. It is the
ability to think about a task in a new or
different way and find interesting ways
to approach towards it. Creativity not
enhance learning but it also help
children to think outside of the box and
broaden their perspective. Children
were exposed to various activities like
Clay Moulding, Best out of Waste, My
Designer Mask Making and Collage
Making Activity to develop their
imagination, concentration and enriches
their understanding.
TEAMWORK
Teamwork is essential to complete
a task in most effective and efficient way.
This concept was seen within greater
framework of "Puppet Show on Lord
Rama" held online on occasion of
Dusshera Festival. Students of Balwadi
united together and presented a splendid
show on the life of Lord Rama through
Puppets. This activity assisted students to
make connection and helped them to
plan, review and change strategies. The
young minds had a rich learning
experience of their culture roots and
understood importance of teamwork. At
end of session students of LKG and UKG
class prepared a dance presentation along
with their peers and got a big round of
applauds.
COLLABORATION
Collaboration allows team members to
come together on a common platform and
work towards the achievement of common
goal. When two teams collaborate they
learn new things from each other. Under
aegies of " Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat "
little bhavanitites learned about culture,
customs, tradition and lifestyle of our
pairing state Assam through PPT
Presentaion, Virtual Tour and Collage
Making Activity. One of the prominent
collaboration was between students of
Delhi Public School, Guwahati and
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram Pratap
Nagar, Jaipur. During this exchange
programme students showcased the state
costume, dance, food, flower and animal
of their pairing state. These activities gave
an opportunity to understand the rich
cultural heritage of India.

RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE
"Each Season of the Year has it's own
Beauty".
Summer means happy times & good
sunshine. It is the season of bright
sunlight, clear blue skies and warmness
in the air. To beat the heat of summer
tiny tots celebrated 'Sizzling Summer'
day with cool drinks and fruits during
online class in their beautiful summer
attires. Then came the rainy season,
which is the favourite season of kids.
Rainy season enhances the scenic
beauty of nature. Kids enjoyed the
rhythm of falling rain with designing
their gumboots, raincoats and
umbrellas.
RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE
"Winter is not a season it's a celebration.
It is the time for comfort, good food and
warmth".
This is the season of mist, fog and
snowfall. Toddlers felt the warmth of
winter by designing their winter wear
and making creative cozy quilts in their
drawing files. Winter is followed by
spring season, which adds new life and
new beauty to everything. Children
made beautiful origami flowers and
offered flowers to Goddess Saraswati
wearing yellow dresses on the occasion
of 'Basant Panchami'. They enjoyed
eating yellow food too, as the spring is
the natures way of saying 'Let's Party'.
COMMUNICATION
Communication is a very vital skill. Good
communication skills are essential to allow
others and yourself to understand information
and share emotions. Balwadi children got
opportunity to sharpen their Communication
skills through a series of speaking activities.
On 'Hindi Diwas' they presented different
poems in their National Language. They were
given platform to build confidence and
enhance their English Communication through
'Show and Tell', 'Talk Show' and 'Story
Narration Activities'
HEALTH LITERACY
"Eat Healthy , Feel Healthy".
Health Literacy is understanding of basic
health information. To develop healthy
eating habits in tiny toddlers a plethora of
activities were conducted throughout the
session. In "Healthy Platter" Activity
children wisely choose and designed their
proper plate by pasting pictures of healthy
food items. They further showed their
culinary skills in "Tricolour Salad Making"
Activity. During "Winter Delight " Activity
they were asked to research food which
builds immunity during winter season.
These activities provided an opportunity
to young children to learn about nutrition
and improve their eating habits.
CRITICAL THINKING AND
PROBLEM SOLVING
Critical thinking enhances problem solving skills. It
is a mental process involving the ability to analyse
and find the solution that better resolves the
problem. Play is the essential element for the
development of this skills in young minds.
Children were given enormous opportunities
through various play material and educational
resources to scratch their brain and come to the
solution. They were on the top of the world when
were able to solve different puzzles and made
structures with blocks. 'Quiz Session' helped
children to practise existing knowledge and
stimulated interest in learning. 'Discovery Week'
was designed to expose students to the
environment they have not encountered before.
This gave them an experience outside of the
traditional classroom.
FUNDAMENTAL
MOVEMENT SKILLS
""Physical Fitness is the First Requisite of
Happiness".
We begin to learn physical skills
from the very young age and use them in
our day to day activities. These skills involve
coordination of Fine and Gross Motor Skills,
Regular exercise and physical activity
promotes strong muscles and bones. These
skills of Balwadi kids were sharpen through
different physical activities. They learned
concentration and balancing by 'Lemon
Spoon Walk'. Toddlers stretched their body
parts in 'Santa Drill', 'Animal Zumba' and
'Soft Tunnel Crossing'. Learned to
complete task in a given time and enhanced
eye-hand Coordination through 'One Minute
Games'. Further provided them environment
and space for energetic and noisy play by
Free Outdoor and Indoor Play.
LEARNING BY DOING
" I hear and I forget, I see and I remember,
I do and I understand".
Learning by doing encourages active
engagement with available materials.
Colour day celebrations helped children to
sort and classify objects based on colours
and appreciate all of the wonder and joy
that colours bring in our lives. To allow
little learners to assume the role or tasks
of a job by practicing or stimulating real
working conditions, ' Role Play on Helpers'
activity was conducted. 'Milk Day' activity
helped kids to learn the importance of milk
and dairy products in our lives. Creative
minds created amazing designs during 'Fun
with Cookies' activity and explored the
shapes and patterns of cookies.
SELF IDENTITY
Self identity is an important trait. The
benefits of understanding self identity is
that we get to explore and understand
ourselves. Little scholars of UKG class
identified themselves and were honoured
for achieving important milestone in their
learning journey on "Graduation Day". It
was a very special day for every young
Bhavanite, as they were stepping their tiny
steps towards their new beginning to
primary education. Children overwhelmed
with joy when balwadi coordinator and
class teachers appreciated their self identity
by putting graduation cap on their head.
Wearing sash and getting photo frame
made their day.
ARTISTIC SKILLS
Kids love to do colouring and craft work. It is
an important way to help them grow and
develop. They enhance their concentration,
thinking skills and learn to use tools,
equipments and spaces. When little artistic
hands used their finger to manipulate art and
craft material, they not only developed their
fine motor and bilateral coordination skills but
a little Picasso can also be seen in their
masterpieces. This was done during 'Ganapati
Art', 'Animal Mask Making', 'Pop-up Kite
Making', 'Wall Hanging on Golden Words',
'Craft on Kind Words' and 'Free Hand
Drawing' Activity. Icing on cake was a 3 days
art and craft workshop on the occasion of
Diwali Festival.

YOUNG MINDS,
ON PAPER!
One Incident That Changed My Way Of Thinking
In our day-to-day life, there are many incidents that teach and change our opinion. As we grow up, we
get to know more about the people or things around us. One such incident that happened lately taught
and changed one of the notions. In the month of January, after Makar Sankranti, all the teachers
started the revision of PT-III. I paid attention and revised my course regularly. I faced a lot of network
issues in Mathematics classes during those days. Just a day before of my Mathematics exam, I
contacted one of my friends to send the answers of the revision worksheet, to my surprise she refused.
I contacted another, but she said that she had not done and that was where I was in big trouble.
Suddenly, it struck me that my best friend is good at Mathematics. I called her. She not only provided
me with the solution to the revision worksheet but also cleared my doubts about some concepts. She
also comforted me by saying, ‘‘Call me if you have any other doubts. Although it’s already 10:00 pm
but don’t hesitate. I am available whenever you need me. I know that you would need help in
Mathematics". That day I realised who a true friend is. A True Friend is the one who is always there, no
matter what circumstances they are in. On the other hand, I was extremely disappointed with the
thought that those whom I had been sending the work whenever asked and whom I considered good
friends didn’t tell me the answers of revision worksheet. I kept wondering they might have done so to
get better marks than me. But then, my best friend helped me the way a ray of light brightens the
dark corner. Because of her, I did well in the exam. Lastly, I would say that never forget your best
friends because they are the ones who help you in your difficult times. Other friends will remain with
you in your good times but they neither can be your true friend nor can they support you in your tough
times. ‘Friend in need is a friend indeed’

What If I Had A Time Machine?
An imaginary question that is worth asking is; What if I had a Time Machine?
Everybody loves to have control in their hands and what if it really happens! If I had a
Time Machine with me, I would keep the “Good Things “and erase all the “Bad
Things” from the World. I would also travel to the world of Dinosaurs so as to save
them from being extinct.
I would fulfil all my dreams so that I can change the entire course of history. I would
bring in new ideas that would lead to a beautifully and nicely rewritten present.
There are a lot of things that we can change in society and I would do it all only if I
had a Time Machine. Ghanendra Panchal
