Radika Subramaniam is a Senior Lecturer in the General Studies Department at Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah, Selangor, Malaysia. She obtained her PhD in Corpus Linguistics from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the span of 20 years, the author has taught Communicative English courses for various groups of engineering and non-engineering polytechnic students and actively involved in curriculum development for both Diploma and Degree levels offered by the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education, Malaysia. Her main research interest is integrating corpus into English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) studies particularly academic written discourse.
