of everyday reality, such as we would be likely to find in a
newspaper or magazine clipping. Yet, in Sahu's oeuvre, this
process of citation operates on multiple levels.

Subrata Biswas

b 1972

The motive of a child in its most basic form appears quite
repeatedly in the works of Subrata Biswas . The elementary
human form representing the child complements innocence,
one generally associated with a child. But artistically, what is
more interesting is how the sculptor made the simplistic form
emerge by reconciling elements of both folk and classical
form.

Soft Tips to Collect Right

1. While collecting be mindful about how you are responding to a particular
work rather than the name of the artist alone.

2. If you are a first time buyer, keep the ticket size of your art small. Let the
confidence of buying build before you jump in full throttle with more High
Value Artworks.

3. We recommend that you must like the work that you buy . Its not fun to
merely buy art for name sake. You will never meet a great collector who is
not passionate about what they bought.

4. If you are confused, feel free to call us and we can talk and resolve any
confusion, so you are on a surer footing before you collect.

4. Always remember the images here and the actual painting could defer
slightly in color. Our Photographers and Designers try to bring about the
closest representation of the work on paper or online.

5. Make sure you spend on high quality framing. Often expensive paintings are
left at the hands of inexperienced and cheap framers .

7. If you are choosing to buy a work of an artist which is many years old , opt
to receive the work in a ready to hang, framed condition. This helps
preserve the work and minimize any wear and tear that could occur during
transit.

8. Should you not have access to a good framer in yoru country, opt for the
gallery to frame and door deliver the work. It can save you a lot of time and
headache and also money.

9. Lastly enjoy what you collected , get it well framed and hung for all to see
and admire. You may begin to notice a lot more in the work than you
could see when you initially noticed.

10 . Art is multidimensional ; so there's a lot more to it than meets the eye.
