The present works of Pragnesh Patel dwells in the identity of religious
equality, Atithi devo bhava - the guests is like as equal to a god.

What if the guests are gods sipping tea His skill is matched with not

a representation of gods using deliberate symbols giving the message

NIRANJAN PRADHAN

b 1940

He emerged as an important sculptor from Calcutta, India in the late
1960s. Intuitive beauty and docile lyrical sensibility coupled with
harmonious display of sharp, geometrically defined structural surfaces
are the basic characteristics of his three dimensional art. His forms
evolve from the inner core of life, from the environment around him. In
that sense he is a reality conscious artist. The consciousness was the
general feature of artists of 1960s. But Pradhan's forms do not end up
expressing the essential features of apparent reality; they rather strive
to unfold its inner essence. During the nearly three and a half decades
of his sincere attachments to the field of sculptural creativity, Pradhan
had to cross many stumbling blocks, because of the hostile attitude of
our society towards sculptural art; but he has amply proved his vitality
and came to stay.

K. S. RADHAKRISHNAN

b 1956

K.S. Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable among the new
generation of sculptors who has successfully brought about a definitive
resurgence in Indian sculpture. Like many of his contemporaries he is a
figurative sculptor, but his preference for modeling and bronze casting
over new materials sets him apart from the rest of them. Recharging
age-old sculptural process with a new sensibility, thus is the singular
challenge he brings to modern Indian sculpture. And this makes him a
modernist - who approaches his work with discernable ambition and
considerable aplomb while steering clear of brinkmanship.
With celebration of sensuality as one of its running themes, his works
is at once both intimate and universal in its appeal. A personal
commemorative sculpture, with a scale and presence that holds well in
natural settings, his work has found permanent home in a number of
public collections all over the world.

HIMMAT SHAH

B 1933

A versatile artist, Shah has experimented across forms and mediums,
making burnt paper collages, architectural murals, drawings and
sculptures, though he sees himself as primarily a sculptor. His self-

designed tools and innovative techniques give his preferred medium –
terracotta – a contemporary edge. Shah uses a number of tools, brushes,
instruments and hand tools to carve, shape and mould his works. He has
designed and executed monumental murals in brick, cement and concrete.

DVS KRISHNA

B 1973

DVS.Krishna works show a stark inspiration of the Temple sculptures
from Andhra Pradesh, he creates such forms that are reminiscent of
them but they still encompass a signature, which is definitely personal
in character. Thus the forms are a blend of traditional structural
patterns and personal expression.
The Fibre glass sculptures by the artist are introspective in nature. The
solitary free standing Bust of the protagonist reinstates a meditative,
serene and quiet mood.A single bright hue Falls unanimously
throughout his sculptures ,and accentuates the facial features to
emerge in a soft, glossy and perfect brilliance
