planning with consideration of city planning and development concepts
that correspond with the potential of each area to ensure sustainable land
use. City planning principles should be applied to effectively address local

Aware that residents and visitors are dependent on a homogenous Bangkok, the
City Planning and Urban Development Department places importance on activities
that involve cooperation and participation from all parties including agencies under
its supervision, other government agencies and the public. Concomitantly, personnel
development is a specific focus for strengthening the organization. To enhance
service efficiency, an online platform has been adopted to enable the public to file
complaints and report problems through this mechanism. All of these efforts aim to
encourage Bangkok residents to cooperate in the pursuit of urban development and
the creation of a livable and sustainable Bangkok.
