Talat Phlu
Talat Phlu (literally betel market in Thai) is both an area and a market on Thoet Thai Road in Talat Phlu Subdistrict, Thon Buri District, Bangkok. Situated beside Khlong Bangkok Yai, Talat Phlu has a long history. In the Ayutthaya period, many Chinese people settled down and traded in this area. Later, Malays from Ayutthaya and Pattani also migrated to Talat Phlu making an interesting cultural blend.
