The 1960’s saw attention being focused on saving one
of Madison’s greatest attributes—its historic buildings—
culminating in 1973 with 133 blocks in the city being
placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Then
in 2001 Madison would see the creation of the Madison

CELEBRATING MADISON

A world record was set again in 2014 when the new
roughly half mile span of the Madison/Milton Bridge

from around the world.
