Discover Britain in Athens

Introduction

Are you ready to embark on a fun, creative and
adventurous summer trip?


Our ‘Discover Britain in Athens’ summer programme at
Byron College will take you on an exciting tour around
the United Kingdom and guide you through the
magnificent landscapes, the rich culture, the food, the
everyday life and the technological contributions that

this amazing place has to offer.

This summer, children at Byron College will become
acquainted with British life in years gone by, travelling

through history and learning about legendary kings
and heroes. They will also learn to love and protect
the world around us through hands-on Environmental
Science time or explore their own scientific talents
during our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics) sessions!


Inspired by different regions of the United Kingdom,

they will discover its hidden secrets and enjoy this full-
immersion summer programme which combines
splashing around the swimming pool and other fun

athletic events with engaging and culturally enriching
activities!

Three Week Programme
25th June to 13th July 2018



Activities
This year’s programme runs for three weeks with an
array of activities which will include:

 Creative English (Literature, History)
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering &

Mathematics)
 Swimming—Daily
Visits/Trips—Weekly (half and/or full day visits

depending on the age group)

 Cookery
 Environmental Science
 Arts & Crafts
 Sports
 Drama
 Free play (e.g. board games)


Daily Schedule

The programme commences on Monday, 25th June,

for a duration of three weeks, on weekdays from 9am
to 4pm.

An early drop off and collection option may be
arranged upon request.

Fees
The fees for the Byron College 2018 Summer Programme are as

follows:
 1 week: €250
 2 weeks: €450*
 3 weeks: €600*

These include:
 Mid-morning snack
 Lunch (hot meal)
 Daily use of pool with swimming instruction
 Supplies
 Visits/Trips—Weekly (half and/or full day visits depending on
the age group)

Reductions:
 5% discount on 2nd child
 10% discount on 3rd child
 5% discount for registration & payment by Friday, 4th May

*The 2nd and 3rd week discount is only made if the commitment is

confirmed upon registration.
Transport
We will be offering a transport service (pick up/ drop off) for the
programme at extra cost. Early registration is essential to
guarantee this service.
Food

A detailed menu will be made available upon registration. Any
dietary requirements/allergies to be noted on your child’s
application form.
