200 Market

District 4

In my childhood, the space
that I remember the most is
the 200 Market located in
District 4. Due to the fact that
it is one of the scariest yet
interesting experiences in my
life

people there. The feeling still
stuck with me today
whenever I returned to the
street.

I want the model to bring upon that
same conflicting feelings.
My first plan was using clay to make
the space. Although the space come
out good and have the elements and
principles that I wanted, yet it didnʼt
have the chaotic feelings like a
market should have. This is why I
decided to change the material and
technique.

create organic shapes with

technique, I burnt the base of the

the model of my memory space
has given out a sense of unity in
colors and texture.

Based on the personality test, I
am Campaigner, type ENFP-T.
Furthermore, according to the
test, Iʼm 79% extraverted and
94% turbulent. These
percentages mean that I am an

work well under intensive stress.
This is correct, due to the fact
that Iʼm considered myself as a
“person of people” because
communication and socialization
with other people are one of the
most important aspects of my
personality.

Moreover, I considered myself as
a chaotic person, who donʼt work
well under a lot of pressure and
stress. This is why I want to
design a space that can have a
lot of sunlight and airy in order to
reduce the stress level that
oneself has, yet still help
stimulate people to socialize and
communicate with others.

First
Sketch

Because I am an extrovert, I want my
space to be a place that I can be able
to be myself and still able to socialize
with other people. However, IÕm
easily drained and distracted if I am
with too many people at the same
time, because I will try to
communicate with all of them. This is
the reason why I want my space to
be a place for my to communicate
with only a small group of people who
I want to be with. Furthermore, I want
my space to relate back to natural in
order to provide a relaxing sensation,
yet it must have proper air circulation.

My first sketch was to create
something like a ÒbeanÓ shape in
order to represent natural, however, it
has too many things happened at the
same time, it was too hectic.
