In 2007, Reliance Brands Limited was born out of the
realization that the new age consumer in emerging
markets has far more international exposure, brand
awareness, lifestyle aspirations and spending power than
ever before. Moreover, they’ve ‘grown up’ in an
environment of abundance, choice, and convenience of
buying from anywhere with a simple click. However, this
discerning Indian Consumer at the ‘top of the pyramid’,
who was well travelled, brand & quality conscious and
habituated to good living, was still forced to shop
abroad or endure 15-30 day waiting period for
international deliveries.
