Piping and Instrumentation Diagram: This course covers the interpretation of P&ID and associated engineering drawings in process condition and control system as in the operation (Upstream and Downstream) line. Demonstrate line tracing and validation and properly install and maintain tube fitting in the instrument system loop. 3. Process Plant Control Systems: This course covers the design and implementation of control systems for the petroleum industry. Students will learn about different types of control systems, such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and how they are used to automate and control an industrial process. 4. Basic Electrical: This course covers electricity and electrical circuits fundamental concepts and principles. 5. Engineering Drawing: This course focuses on the creation of technical drawings used in engineering. Students will learn to accurately represent three-dimensional objects on paper using industrystandard symbols and conventions. The students also explore concepts like orthographic projections and isometric drawings. 6. Health, Safety and Environment: This course covers occupational safety and health in the petroleum industry. Students will learn about regulations and guidelines related to health, safety and the environment and the principles governing the industry. 7. Project Management: This course covers the skills and knowledge needed to manage projects in the oil and gas industry, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Plant Simulation: This course provides students to integrate knowledge and skills with good attitude, in a plant start-up, plant normal operation, plant shut-down, performance measurement and management. 9. Final Year Project: This course aimed to provide students with opportunities to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired during the period of study in conducting technical project based on students area of specializations. This provides students with Environment and Sustainability, Project Management and Finance and Lifelong Learning skills. 10. Piping, Valves And Fittings: The curriculum for piping, valves, and fittings covers a diverse range of components. Students will gain insight into the multiple applications and functions of each kind and acquire knowledge on how to make informed decisions on the selection, installation, and maintenance of these components. The course content may encompass topics such as pipe sizing, pressure ratings, and flow control, amongst others. Upon completing the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of piping, valves, and fittings and be able to apply their knowledge in various settings. 11. Plant Utilities: The resources needed to operate an oil and gas plant efficiently. These resources typically include water, fuel, steam, inert gas, air and electrical power. Water is used for cooling, while fuel is needed to power the plant's machinery and equipment. Steam is used for heating and to power turbines, while inert gas is often used to prevent explosions or fires. Air is usually required for ventilation, and electrical power is necessary to run all the plant's systems and equipment.
