GREW Heroes Leadership Camp
Day 2

Let's Be Young Reporters Workshop by Green Growth Asia Foundation Pusat
Danish Firdaus, who came all way to Penang to share the secrets of his video PKuolkauurPikiunlaunmg
shooting skills with the students, giving them the opportunity to shoot videos about 11 Dec 2022
environmental protection and then send to Tik Tok and other social media. The
students tried to make their own video. This tutorial had attracted many students in
video shooting. Amazingly, such short video would be able to make more people

realize the importance of environmental protection, unite the people and protect

the world.

"What Can Teenagers Do?" A Forum

Thanks to Mr. Calvin Chan from Green Hero & Mr.Shah from GreenSmiths to be our invited speakers in this

forum to inspire the teenagers to be the change maker. This interview enabled the students to know that

creation is not easy, it requires a lot of psychology, and more importantly, they need partners around them. It is

extremely difficult for people all over the world to join us in the environmental protection. If the students have

the spirit of not giving up and not being afraid of hardships, then the impossible will become possible!

Leadership Training
Moreover, the organizer also invited the expert, Dr Thien Mei Lee, Senior Lecturer in School of Educational
Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia to conduct a leadership training, so that the students can understand the
importance of leadership, and to become environmental protection ambassadors for the new generation and
this would make the world a better place. Such training would give students the power to break through
themselves, to challenge themselves, and to believe that they would be an excellent leader.

tremoring in fear. However, they managed to overcome all their fears and
completed the task successfully. Then, with the guidance of teachers, the students
also played some games to their hearts content's. All students cooperated well and
sportingly completed each of the challenges. Although there were winners and
losers, the students took it openly and sportingly without any disputes. This is one
of the important aspects of being a leader. The event ended with students thanking
the teachers for their interesting games which they enjoyed most.
